Although we don’t expect any dingers from Arraez, as he is a lethal contact hitter who rarely goes long, we can see him getting a few singles and maybe a walk out of the struggling Lorenzen. Arraez boasts a .375 career batting average in limited matchups against the Rockies’ 34-year-old journeyman.

Athletics Brent Rooker (Over 0.5 Home Runs +385) at Bovada

The A’s designated hitter, Brent Rooker, walks tall and carries a big stick. The 31-year-old has hit 30 or more home runs over his last three seasons, and he is on pace to repeat. Although he has gone six games without a launch over the fence, he’s just about due to pick up his eighth dinger in what will be his 39th game of the season.
Last year, around this time, Rooker mashed a three-run homer against the Yankees’ projected starter, Carlos Rodon, and the time feels right for the Athletics’ heavy hitter to do it again. Moreover, the team has carefully managed Rodon’s pitch count since his return from elbow surgery last May. He could be susceptible to letting a stray pitch float over the middle for a big banger like Rooker to crush.
