Best NBA Futures to Bet On Right Now February 9th: Nets May Be in A Tight Spot

The NBA season is moving along and we have had a lot of news and there are a lot of moving parts. This gives us a great opportunity to check out OddsTrader’s futures odds comparison tool to make sharp NBA wagers.

As the season has progressed, we have a good idea of which teams have a serious chance for championship contention, and how to project these teams properly for the rest of the regular season. Let’s use that information to find the winning NBA picks.

Los Angeles Clippers

Using the OddsTrader tool I was able to pinpoint a huge discrepancy to find a value bet. The LA Clippers are listed at Under 45.5 at DraftKings but are listed at Over 39.5 at Bet365. This is a huge discrepancy and the OddsTrader tool allowed me to find the best price for a bet that I’m already high on.

The Los Angeles Clippers are climbing up the standings at a rapid rate. The Clippers are 8-2 over their last 10 games. Now that their team is finally healthy, they are realizing their potential and blossoming into the championship contender that we expected to see at the beginning of the season

The Clippers are a star-heavy team with plenty of depth. This bodes well for the regular season. When Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are in the lineup, the Clippers are almost unbeatable. When the two men sit for their injuries or rest, the Clippers team is deep enough to stay competitive and even win games without their best players.

The Los Angeles Clippers are currently 31-26 and have a great chance to go over the total posted at DraftKings. But using the OddsTrader tool we found a much better value.

NBA Pick: Los Angeles Clippers Over 39.5 Regular Season Wins (+120) at Bet365

Milwaukee Bucks

The Boston Celtics are the favorites to win the NBA championship right now. At +350, there is no value to bet on the Celtics. However, there is value in the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Milwaukee Bucks are finally healthy and moving up in the standings. The Bucks have won 8 games in a row and are 9-1 over their last 10. With Khris Middleton back in the lineup, the Bucks are back to looking like the team that won the championship just two years ago. Khris Middleton means so much to this team.

When this Bucks team is fully healthy they are as good as any team in the NBA. Boston has looked better than the Bucks so far this season, but Boston has been healthier than Milwaukee.

Now that the Bucks are healthy, they’ve been playing the best basketball in the NBA. Yet they are priced as if they are the second-best team in the league. We will take advantage of this misconception and place a strong futures bet.

NBA Pick: Milwaukee Bucks to Win the NBA Championship (+700) at Bet365

Brooklyn Nets

Once again, using the OddsTrader BetStation app, I was able to find great value for a bet that I am excited to place. The Brooklyn Nets were on a roll until, once again, Kyrie Irving obliterated the team that he was playing for from the inside. This time, Irving demanded a trade request, in spite of the fact that the Nets had gone on an 18-2 run while they were all fully healthy.

At that point, the Nets looked to be like the best team in the NBA. But the chance to win a championship wasn’t enough of an incentive for Kyrie Irving to move past his differences with management. Kyrie proved that he would rather serve his ego rather than do what’s best for the team that looked like it had a great chance to be a title team.

Although the Nets got a nice return in the trade and are pleased with the development of Cam Thomas, this is a stale number that is left over from when Irving was still on the team. This is evident when looking at the OddsTrader app and seeing the Nets’ regular season win total set at Over 46.5 at Bet365. An 8-game discrepancy in regular season win totals is fantastic and you can even bet both and shoot for the middle.

With Kevin Durant now leaving as well, we can’t expect the Nets to be a winning team for the rest of the regular season. This does not bode well for the Nets’ regular season, although they are still strong enough to be a potent force in the playoffs. With the playoffs as the top priority, the regular season win total will suffer.
