Tapped for Game 3 start
Kremer will start for the Orioles on Tuesday in Game 3 of the ALDS against the Rangers.
ANALYSIS
It was seemingly either going to be Kremer or Kyle Gibson, who now appears likely to start a potential Game 4. Kremer finished out the regular season on a high note with a 2.89 ERA over his last 10 starts, including 5.1 shutout frames in his final outing. He'll be going up against Nathan Eovaldi on Tuesday as the Orioles try to stave off elimination.
Sep 29, 2023
Sharp in final regular season start
Kremer (13-5) earned the win Thursday, allowing two hits and one walk over 5.1 scoreless innings against the Red Sox. He struck out eight.
ANALYSIS
After allowing at least five runs in two of his last three appearances, Kremer bounced back with 5.1 scoreless frames. He tallied his best strikeout total in 12 starts while Thursday's outing marked his only start with more than five innings pitched in September. Though Kremer was unable to replicate his 2022 ERA of 3.23, he will close out the 2023 regular season with a 13-5 record (8-7 last year) to go along with a 4.12 ERA and a 157:55 K:BB over 172.2 innings.
Sep 23, 2023
Early exit against Guardians
Kremer escaped with a no-decision Friday during the Orioles' 9-8 loss to the Guardians, surrendering six runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks over 3.1 innings. He struck out three.
ANALYSIS
Fourth-inning errors by Anthony Santander and Gunnar Henderson softened the blow to Kremer's ERA, but the right-hander was far from sharp, managing only eight swinging strikes over his 91 pitches in his shortest outing since June 30. The 27-year-old has faded down the stretch -- Kremer hasn't lasted longer than five innings in any of his four September starts, posting a 4.67 ERA, 1.79 WHIP and 15:11 K:BB through 17.1 innings as he adds to his career-high innings total (167.1). Kremer will look to get back in the win column for the first time since Aug. 23 in his final start of the regular season, likely to come at home next week against the Red Sox.

Allows one run in no-decision
Kremer did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks over five innings against the Rays. He struck out five.
ANALYSIS
After surrendering a solo home run to Brandon Lowe in the first inning, Kremer settled down and held the Rays off the board for his final four frames, ultimately winding up with a no-decision in the Orioles' extra-innings win. It was a strong bounce-back effort from Kremer after he gave up five runs in 4.1 innings in his previous outing against St. Louis. Overall, the 27-year-old right-hander is 12-5 with a 4.17 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 146:52 K:BB in 30 starts (164 innings) this season. Kremer's currently stated to face the Guardians on the road in his next outing.
Sep 11, 2023
Struggles in no-decision
Kremer did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing five runs on seven hits and four walks over 4.1 innings against St. Louis. He struck out two.
ANALYSIS
Kremer was in line for the loss after being removed with one out in the fifth, having allowed 11 baserunners. The Orioles then scored five in the bottom half of the inning to take him off the hook. The five runs allowed halted a stretch where Kremer had allowed three runs or less for eight consecutive starts, accumulating a 2.35 ERA and 38 strikeouts over 46 innings. He'll take a 4.25 ERA into his next start, scheduled to take place this weekend at home against the Rays.
Sep 6, 2023
Solid in no-decision
Kremer did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing four hits and three walks over 4.2 scoreless innings against the Angels. He struck out five.
ANALYSIS
Despite holding the Angels scoreless, Kremer was unable to get through five innings and was pulled at 92 pitches for his shortest start since July 30. However, the outing marked his eighth consecutive appearance allowing three or fewer runs, a stretch in which Kremer boasts a 2.35 ERA and a 38:15 K:BB across 46 innings. He's tentatively scheduled to take on the Cardinals at Camden Yards for his next start.
Aug 30, 2023
Settles for quality start Tuesday
Kremer came away with a no-decision Tuesday in the Orioles' 9-3 win over the White Sox, allowing one run on six hits over six innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.
ANALYSIS
A solo homer by Lenyn Sosa accounted for the only damage off Kremer as he delivered his fourth straight quality start, but the Baltimore offense didn't get rolling until after he'd left the mound. The right-hander wraps up August with a 2.37 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 23:8 K:BB through 30.1 innings, giving him plenty of momentum heading into his next start, likely to come on the road early next week against the Angels.
Aug 24, 2023
Grounds Blue Jays for 12th win
Kremer (12-5) earned the victory over Toronto on Wednesday, allowing five hits and no walks while striking out five batters over six scoreless innings.
ANALYSIS
Kremer had originally been scheduled to start Thursday, but he was moved up a day as a result of Jack Flaherty (general soreness) being scratched. The adjustment didn't faze Kremer, who picked up his third straight quality start and his first scoreless outing since May 10. The right-hander has been pitching well since ending June with a three-inning, seven-run blow-up, posting a 3.06 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 47:19 K:BB over his subsequent nine starts covering 63 frames.
Aug 23, 2023
Moved up to start Wednesday
Kremer will start Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kremer had been lined up to start Thursday's series finale with Toronto, but he'll instead move up a day in the pitching schedule after Wednesday's projected starter, Jack Flaherty, was scratched for an unspecified reason. Because the Orioles have been running a six-man rotation of late, Kremer will still be well-rested for Wednesday's outing, which comes on six days' rest.
Aug 17, 2023
Earns quality start in loss
Kremer (11-5) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings, taking the loss Wednesday versus the Padres.
ANALYSIS
Kremer turned in a baseline quality start, with just a rough third inning tarnishing his line. He's allowed no more than three runs in any of his last five starts, giving up 11 runs over 29.1 innings in that span. For the season, he's posted a 4.50 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 124:43 K:BB through 138 innings over 25 starts. The right-hander should get a little extra time to shake off this loss with Baltimore recently transitioning to a six-man rotation. He's lined up for a home start versus the Blue Jays next week.
Aug 11, 2023
Collects 11th win
Kremer (11-4) earned the win Thursday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over seven innings against the Astros while striking out five.
ANALYSIS
Kremer managed to limit a dangerous Houston offense to just two runs over seven innings, with both of those runs coming off solo homers. The right-hander allowed at least one hit in five of those innings, but did a good job of pitching his way out of jams for most of the afternoon. Kremer has now allowed three or fewer runs in four consecutive starts and two runs or fewer in five of his last seven. However, he's also issued at least two walks in six straight, registering a 28:16 K:BB over that stretch.
Aug 5, 2023
Falls short of quality start
Kremer wound up with a no-decision in the Orioles' 10-3 win over the Mets on Friday, giving up two runs on two hits and four walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out four.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander was handed an early 2-0 lead, but after five scoreless frames New York was able to get to Kremer in the sixth and he missed a chance to collect his 11th win or 11th quality start of the year. The four free passes also tied his season high, and he's walked multiple batters in five straight outings, posting a 4.00 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 23:14 K:BB through 27 innings over that stretch. He'll try to get back in the win column in his next start, likely to come at home next week against the Astros.
Jul 30, 2023
Fans seven in no-decision
Kremer allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks over four-plus innings in Sunday's win over the Yankees. He struck out seven and did not factor in the decision.
ANALYSIS
Kremer came out to begin the fifth inning but was pulled after allowing a leadoff single on his 90th pitch of the contest. It was his shortest start since tossing just three frames June 30. Kremer posted a 3.45 across 28.2 innings in five July starts. His season ERA still sits at 4.66 alongside a 111:35 K:BB through 119.2 innings. Kremer's next outing is lined up to be at home against the Mets.
Jul 24, 2023
Solid in no-decision
Kremer did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing a run on three hits and two walks over seven innings in a 3-2 win over the Phillies. He struck out three.
ANALYSIS
Kremer's solid albeit inconsistent season continued Monday -- he was tagged for five runs in 4.2 innings in his previous outing against the Dodgers, though he's now held opponents to just one run in three of his last four starts. Overall, Kremer is 10-4 with a 4.59 ERA, a 1.31 WHIP and 104:33 K:BB through 21 starts (115.2 innings) this season. The 27-year-old right-hander is currently lined up to make his next start Sunday against the Yankees.
Jul 20, 2023
Allows five runs in no-decision
Kremer did not factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing five runs on four hits and four walks over 4.2 innings against the Dodgers. He struck out one.
ANALYSIS
Kremer got himself into trouble early, issuing a walk to Freddie Freeman in the top of the first before surrendering back-to-back hits with two outs, which would lead to two runs coming across for the Dodgers. He appeared to be settling in after that as the right-hander went 1-2-3 over the next two innings. However, he would be victimized by the long ball in both the fourth and fifth innings as Los Angeles tried to claw their way back. Kremer had allowed only one run in each of his last two starts coming in but has now give up at least five runs in two of his last four outings. He also issued a season-high four walks Wednesday to just one strikeout.
Jul 15, 2023
Sharp in win No. 10
Kremer (10-4) picked up the win Friday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks over six innings in a 5-2 victory over the Marlins. He struck out eight.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander generated 30 called or swinging strikes among his 97 pitches en route to his ninth quality start of the year. Kremer has had some issues keeping the ball in the park lately, but that's been the only thing standing between him and a true breakout. In eight starts since the beginning of June he's posted a 4.60 ERA and 2.2 HR/9, but also a 1.18 WHIP and 52:10 K:BB through 45 innings. He lines up for a tough test in his next outing, which is likely to come at home next week against the Dodgers.
Jul 5, 2023
Dominant in ninth win
Kremer (9-4) earned the win Wednesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk over seven innings against the Yank ees. He struck out 10.
ANALYSIS
It was quite a bounce-back from Kremer after he allowed seven runs in just three innings in his last start against the Twins. The 27-year-old right-hander set a new season-high with 10 strikeouts while allowing just one earned run on Josh Donaldson's solo homer in the fifth inning. Kremer lowered his ERA to 4.78 with a 1.37 WHIP and 92:25 K:BB across 18 starts (98 innings) this season in what'll likely be his last start before the All-Star break.
Jul 1, 2023
Tripped up by Twins
Kremer (8-4) took the loss Friday as the Orioles were routed 8-1 by the Twins, surrendering seven runs on seven hits and two walks over three-plus innings. He struck out five.
ANALYSIS
The game started nearly an hour and a half late due to rain, and Kremer never seemed comfortable once he got on the mound, giving up single runs in the first and second innings before Minnesota really started to pile it on. The right-hander had real trouble keeping the ball in the park in June -- he served up homers to Joey Gallo and Max Kepler on Friday, and through six starts and 32 innings on the month he got tagged for 10 homers, leading to a 5.91 ERA despite a sharp 34:7 K:BB. That's an ominous trend heading into his last outing before the All-Star break, which is likely to come on the road next week at Yankee Stadium.
Jun 25, 2023
Goes season-high seven innings
Kremer did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings in a 6-4 win over Seattle. He struck out five.
ANALYSIS
Kremer retired the first seven hitters he faced before surrendering a solo homer to Mike Ford in the top of the third, followed by another solo homer to J.P. Crawford just two batters later. The right-hander would be victimized by the long ball yet again to open the sixth, this time at the hand of Julio Rodriguez as Seattle tied the game at 3-3. However, Kremer was still able to go a season-high seven innings and notch his third quality start in his last five appearances. He'll look for his ninth win next week when the Orioles take on the Twins in Baltimore.
Jun 18, 2023
Picks up eighth win
Kremer (8-3) earned the win Sunday against the Cubs after he allowed three runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out seven.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander surrendered two homers Sunday, but Christopher Morel's two-run in the fourth inning was unearned due to a two-out error. It's the second straight victory for Kremer, who has allowed fewer than three runs and covered at least five frames in eight of his past nine starts. He'll carry a 4.56 ERA into his next outing, which is likely to come next weekend versus Seattle.
Jun 13, 2023
Notches seventh win
Kremer (7-3) earned the win Tuesday, allowing two runs on eight hits over six innings against the Blue Jays. He struck out six.
ANALYSIS
It was a solid bounce-back effort from Kremer after he allowed six runs in a loss to Milwaukee in his last outing. While the 27-year-old Kremer's record is impressive, he still sports a mediocre 4.74 ERA with a 1.43 WHIP and 65:19 K:BB through 14 starts (76 innings) this season. His 47 percent hard-hit rate also ranks in the bottom ninth percentile in the league. Still, Kremer has provided some stability in the Orioles' rotation. He's currently in line to face the Cubs on the road this weekend.
Jun 8, 2023
Falls flat in loss
Kremer (6-3) took the loss against Milwaukee on Wednesday, allowing six runs on nine hits and no walks while striking out five batters over five innings.
ANALYSIS
Kremer had been pitching well coming into the contest, posting a 2.55 ERA and 1.27 WHIP across 35.1 innings over his previous six starts. He couldn't maintain that momentum against Milwaukee, surrendering a season-high six runs and lasting just five frames. Kremer's next start is tentatively scheduled to come at home against Toronto.
Jun 3, 2023
Adds another victory
Kremer (6-2) earned the win Friday, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over six innings against San Francisco. He struck out six.
ANALYSIS
Kremer had a terrible April, posting a 6.67 ERA, but he has lowered it down to 4.43 with six consecutive starts of at least five innings while allowing three runs or less. With the Orioles surprising success, Kremer has racked up victories. He is two wins away from his career high of eight. While he is not going to provide elite strikeout numbers, his K/9 has jumped from 6.25 last season to 7.48 in 2023. Kremer is scheduled to face the Brewers in his next start.
May 28, 2023
Stuck with loss in quality start
Kremer (5-2) took the loss Saturday, giving up three runs on five hits and two walks over 6.1 innings as the Orioles fell 5-3 to the Rangers. He struck out five.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander came through with his fourth quality start of the season but got outdueled by Andrew Heaney. Kremer hasn't been tagged for more than three runs in a start in the entire month of May, posting a 2.45 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 23:8 K:BB through 29.1 innings over that five-start stretch. He'll try to keep up that level of performance to kick off June, with his next start likely coming next weekend in San Francisco.
May 21, 2023
Sevens strikeouts in no-decision
Kremer did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run on nine hits and two walks over 5.1 innings during an 8-3 win over the Blue Jays in extras. He struck out seven.
ANALYSIS
Kremer allowed one or fewer runs for the fourth time this year and struck out a season-high seven batters Sunday. Across 10 starts (52.2 innings), the 27-year-old holds a solid 43:15 K:BB but has a 4.61 ERA. Last year, Kremer posted a 3.23 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 87:34 K:BB across 22 appearances (21 starts). He'll look to lower his ERA for a third straight game during his next start, which is tentatively scheduled during a three-game weekend set versus Texas.
May 16, 2023
Notches fifth win
Kremer (5-1) earned the win Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits over 5.2 innings against the Angels. He struck out four.
ANALYSIS
Kremer has won three straight outings, allowing four runs through 17.2 innings in that span. After a rough start to the season, the 27-year-old Kremer now sports a 4.63 ERA with a 1.42 WHIP and 36:13 K:BB. He'll look to extend his winning streak in his next outing, tentatively lined up for this weekend in Toronto.
May 11, 2023
Picks up fourth win
Kremer (4-1) got the win over the Rays on Wednesday after pitching six shutout innings while allowing four hits and two walks. He struck out four in the effort.
ANALYSIS
Kremer quieted a dangerous Rays offense and has now allowed just one run over his last 12 innings pitched. He got 11 swinging strikes on 95 pitches and finally got his ERA under 5 after he was roughed up with a 6.67 ERA across his first six starts. The 27-year-old will carry a 4.97 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB over 41.2 innings into a projected home matchup against the Angels next week.
May 5, 2023
Back in win column
Kremer (3-1) allowed one run on six hits and two walks over six innings Friday, striking out three and earning a win over Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Kremer coughed up a run in the first inning before settling in for a nice quality start. Despite recording just three punchouts, he forced a season-high 15 swinging strikes. Kremer lowered his ERA to 5.80 through 35.2 frames. He's given up at least four runs in five of his seven starts, though he's yielded just one run in a combined 12.2 innings in the other two. Kremer is projected to face the Rays at home next week.
Apr 30, 2023
Hit with first loss
Kremer (2-1) took the loss in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Tigers as the Orioles fell 7-4. He coughed up five runs on 11 hits and walks over five innings while striking out six.
ANALYSIS
Nine of the hits were singles and Kremer kept the ball in the park, but the poor result can't be dismissed as just bad luck. The right-hander has given up at least four runs in five of his six starts so far this season, and his 6.67 ERA and 1.58 WHIP through 29.2 innings could put his rotation spot in jeopardy, although Baltimore doesn't seem to have any obvious alternatives at the moment with DL Hall still trying to sharpen his control at Triple-A. Kremer will try to minimize the damage in his next outing, but that could be a tall order as it currently lines up to come next weekend in Atlanta.
Apr 25, 2023
Hangs on for second win
Kremer (2-0) picked up the win Monday, giving up four runs on seven hits and a walk over 5.2 innings in a 5-4 victory over the Red Sox. He struck out five.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander had a rocky start to the game and dug the O's a 4-0 hole after three innings, serving up long homers to Triston Casas and Rafael Devers along the way, but Kremer regained his focus over the next few frames and gave his offense a chance to wake up. While his undefeated record is nice, the 27-year-old will take a less appealing 6.20 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 19:7 K:BB through 24.2 innings into his next start, likely to come this weekend in Detroit.
Apr 19, 2023
Blanks Washington
Kremer (1-0) earned the win Tuesday, allowing four hits and no walks over 6.2 scoreless innings in a 1-0 victory over Washington. He struck out six.
ANALYSIS
Kremer had no issues with the Nationals' lineup Tuesday, allowing just four singles as he picked up his first win of the season. It's a solid bounce-back outing for Kremer, who allowed 13 runs over his first three starts this year. The 27-year-old right-hander lowers his ERA to 6.16 with a 1.37 WHIP and 14:6 K:BB in 19 innings.
Apr 13, 2023
Gives up four in loss
Kremer did not factor into the decision on Wednesday against the Athletics, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out one.
ANALYSIS
Kremer had another tough start, allowing a three-run homer to Brent Rooker in the first inning and a solo shot to Carlos Perez in the fifth. The 27-year-old righty struggled with his command, throwing 52 of his 90 pitches for strikes. Kremer has given up five home runs and six walks in three games this season, resulting in a 9.49 ERA through 12.1 innings. He will look to turn things around in his next start, scheduled tentatively for early next week against the Nationals.
Apr 7, 2023
Settles for no-decision Friday
Kremer didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 7-6 win over the Yankees, giving up four runs on five hits and three walks over five-plus innings. He struck out four.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander avoided any damage in the first three innings despite allowing baserunners in each frame, but Kremer's luck began to run out in the fourth and he was briefly on the hook for the loss when the Yankees took a 5-4 lead in the sixth. Kremer tossed 52 of 87 pitches for strikes, and this outing was still an improvement on his first of the year, when he coughed up five runs in three innings against the Red Sox. He'll carry a 10.13 ERA into his next outing, likely to come next week at home against the A's.
Apr 5, 2023
Home opener Thursday postponed
Thursday's game between the Orioles and Yankees has been postponed due to the forecast of severe inclement weather and will be made up Friday.
ANALYSIS
Thursday was supposed to be the home opener for the Orioles, but because of the forecast that game will be delayed at least a day. Dean Kremer was scheduled to start for Baltimore against Clarke Schmidt, and both arms will likely get the ball Friday instead.
Apr 1, 2023
Ineffective against Boston
Kremer didn't factor into the decision after allowing five runs over three innings in his start Saturday against the Red Sox.
ANALYSIS
Kremer was provided with plenty of run support with the Orioles scoring seven runs against Chris Sale while he was on the mound, but he wasn't able to work deep enough to qualify for a decision. The right-hander gave up two homers in the contest -- one to Adam Duvall, one to Alex Verdugo -- and he walked one with three strikeouts while allowing six hits in a mediocre effort. He's scheduled to be back on the mound Thursday in a start against the Yankees.
Mar 24, 2023
To open as No. 2 starter
Kremer is set to open the season as the No. 2 starter for the Orioles, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kyle Gibson will handle the Opening Day assignment on Thursday, March 30 at Boston and then it'll be Kremer's turn to tangle with the Red Sox on Saturday, April 1. Kremer, 27, posted an impressive 3.23 ERA across 125.1 innings for Baltimore in 2022, though he tallied only 87 strikeouts along the way. Lacking in swing-and-miss stuff, his fantasy upside is limited.
Mar 17, 2023
Goes four innings Friday
Kremer allowed two runs on three hits and struck out three over four innings in Friday's Grapefruit League win over the Twins.
ANALYSIS
Kremer allowed back-to-back solo home runs in the second inning. The right-hander made one appearance for Israel at the World Baseball Classic, a scoreless four-inning start. He appears to be in good form as spring training ramps up into competition for roster spots on Opening Day. Kremer should have an inside track to a place in the middle of the rotation after posting a solid 3.23 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 87:34 K:BB over 125.1 innings a year ago.
Feb 22, 2023
Will pitch once before WBC
Kremer will get into one of the Orioles' early Grapefruit League games before he goes to pitch for Israel at the World Baseball Classic, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Kremer is in the mix for a spot in the middle of the Orioles' rotation, but he'll be out of camp for at least part of the spring. Manager Brandon Hyde will get at least one look at the right-hander before he leaves for international play. Kremer started 21 of his 22 appearances last season and looked solid with a 3.23 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 87:34 K:BB across 125.1 innings, and he finished the year strong, so he should have an inside edge for a starting role in 2023.
Oct 4, 2022
Stuck with seventh loss
Kremer (8-7) took the loss Monday as the Orioles were downed 5-1 by the Blue Jays, giving up four runs (three earned) on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out four.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander barely qualified for his eighth quality start of the year, but he wasn't hit all that hard aside from a third-inning solo shot by Vladimir Guerrero. Kremer wraps up a breakout season with a 3.23 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 87:34 K:BB through 125.1 innings, and he should head into 2023 locked into a rotation spot for Baltimore.
Sep 28, 2022
Inefficient through five innings
Kremer (8-6) took the loss against Boston on Wednesday, allowing three runs on six hits and four walks with two strikeouts over five innings.
ANALYSIS
Kremer was not at his best Wednesday as he needed 95 pitches to get through five innings. He was all over the place as only threw 53 strikes and allowed four free passes, the second time he has surpassed that mark in his last three starts after allowing no more than three in any other start this season. Despite the inefficiency on the night, he still owns a solid 3.17 ERA and will try to get back on track in his next start, tentatively scheduled for next week against Toronto.
Sep 23, 2022
Shuts out Astros
Kremer (8-5) allowed four hits and two walks during a complete game shutout against Houston on Friday. He earned a win and struck out six.
ANALYSIS
Kremer never found himself in much danger during Friday's dominant outing. He tossed 700 of 106 pitches for strikes and forced 16 whiffs. The 26-year-old righty produced his first career complete game and lowered his season ERA to an impressive 3.07 over 114.1 frames. Kremer has given up three or fewer runs in eight straight outings, posting a 2.29 ERA over 51 frames during that stretch. He's lined up to take the mound in Boston next week.
Sep 18, 2022
Navigates lack of control sunday
Kremer allowed two runs on four hits, five walks and a hit batsman while striking out three in 5.2 innings in a 5-4 win Sunday in Toronto. He did not factor into the decision.
ANALYSIS
Kremer managed to give up just two runs despite allowing 10 of the 25 batters he faced to reach safely. A line-drive triple play in the third inning ended one threat, as did some timely groundouts. After walking 11.3 percent of batters in his first two big-league seasons, the 26-year-old had demonstrated excellent control over his first 99.2 innings this year, walking only 5.4 percent of opponents. Sunday's five walks were his most of the season and just the second time he walked more than two in an outing. His next start will likely be next weekend against Houston.
Sep 13, 2022
Five innings in win
Kremer (7-5) earned the win Tuesday, allowing three runs on eight hits and one walk over five innings against the Nationals. He struck out one.
ANALYSIS
Kremer picked up his seventh win despite allowing eight hits and recording just one punchout through five innings. The 26-year-old has been the recipient of favorable run support recently as he has just four quality starts in his last eight starts since the beginning of August but is 4-2 in that stretch. His 4.15 xFIP and 4.44 xERA entering Tuesday both suggest that he is overperforming his 3.34 ERA as well. He tentatively lines up to face Detroit next week.
Sep 8, 2022
Takes loss as bulk reliever
Kremer (6-5) was tagged with the loss against Toronto on Wednesday, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out three batters over 5.1 innings.
ANALYSIS
Tyler Wells (oblique) was activated from the injured list to start the contest, but he went only two frames. Kremer took over in the third inning and pitched relatively well outside of the fifth, when he allowed the three runs that ended up being the margin of defeat. Kremer didn't allow any extra-base hits, however, and he threw an efficient 70 of 92 pitches for strikes. It's unclear how he and Wells will be used moving forward, though Kremer's recent run of strong appearances -- he has a 2.30 ERA over his past five outings -- suggests that he'll continue to play a prominent role in Baltimore's pitching plans.

Likely available as bulk reliever
Kremer is expected to be available out of the bullpen behind opener Tyler Wells during Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Wells will be reinstated from the 15-day injured list to serve as Wednesday's starter, but he's expected to operate in an opener's role to begin the game. As a result, Kremer should have a chance to handle a relatively sizable workload as a reliever during Wednesday's series finale against Toronto.
Sep 7, 2022
No longer starting Wednesday
Kremer is no longer starting Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Kremer was initially listed as Wednesday's probable pitcher, but the team will ultimately reinstate Tyler Wells (oblique) from the injured list to start against Toronto. It's not yet clear whether Kremer is dealing with an injury or whether he'll be available to serve as a bulk reliever Wednesday. If he's healthy and doesn't pitch Wednesday, it's possible that he'll draw a start during Baltimore's weekend series against the Red Sox.

Strikes out six batters
Kremer did not factor into the decision against the Athletics on Friday, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out six and walking one over six innings.
ANALYSIS
Kremer pitched well Friday limiting six Oakland baserunners to just two runs and tossing 63 of 94 pitches for strikes across six frames. The righty has pitched well lately, with Friday's outing being his fourth quality start in his last six games. Kremer has gone 3-1 with a 2.37 ERA during that span, pitching in Fenway and against tough offenses in Toronto and Houston. He will take a 3.22 ERA into his next outing and could be worth an add in most fantasy formats.
Aug 27, 2022
Stays dialed in versus Houston
Kremer (6-4) earned the win Saturday over the Astros, allowing one run on four hits while striking out three over 7.2 innings.
ANALYSIS
Kremer delivered his longest start of the year and avoided issuing a free pass for just the third time in 15 outings. The Astros cobbled together a run in the seventh inning, but Kremer got Alex Bregman to ground into a double play to limit the damage in that frame. Aside from a hiccup in Boston on Aug. 11, Kremer's enjoyed a strong August. He's allowed eight runs across 32 innings for a 2.25 ERA through five starts this month. For the season, he has a 3.24 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 62:18 K:BB through 83.1 innings overall. He'll look to keep rolling in September with a favorable projected home start versus the Athletics next on the docket.
Aug 21, 2022
Takes no-decision Sunday
Kremer allowed a run on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 5.1 innings, taking a no-decision versus the Red Sox on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The only run against Kremer was on an Enrique Hernandez RBI single in the second inning. The Orioles' bullpen couldn't keep the lead, denying Kremer the chance to pick up wins in consecutive starts for the first time this year. He's still been fairly sharp lately, allowing seven runs in his last 24.1 innings. For the season, he owns a 3.45 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 59:18 K:BB through 75.2 innings across a career-high 14 starts. The 26-year-old righty is projected for a tough road start in Houston next weekend.
Aug 17, 2022
Sharp in fifth win
Kremer (5-4) picked up the win in Tuesday's 4-2 victory over the Blue Jays, allowing two runs on seven hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out six.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander served up a two-run homer to Vladimir Guerrero in the first inning but shut Toronto down after that, exiting after an efficient 98 pitches (65 strikes). The quality start was Kremer's fourth of the year, and he'll take a 3.58 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 55:16 K:BB through 70.1 innings into his next outing.
Aug 12, 2022
Falters in fourth loss
Kremer (4-4) took the loss against Boston on Thursday, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six batters over 5.2 innings.
ANALYSIS
Kremer picked up a win with 6.1 scoreless innings against Pittsburgh in his previous start, but he couldn't build on that momentum Thursday. The right-hander fell behind 3-0 after three innings before Baltimore tied the score in the sixth. However, Kremer couldn't capitalize on the comeback effort, as a two-out walk in the bottom of the frame resulted in his removal from the contest, which was followed by a run-scoring double off the bat of Eric Hosmer. Kremer has lost three of his past four starts and has given up a combined 14 runs over 15.1 innings in the trio of defeats.
Aug 10, 2022
Wednesday's start postponed
Kremer won't start as scheduled Wednesday against the Blue Jays since the game was postponed due to inclement weather.
ANALYSIS
A two-hour rain delay preceded the postponement, and the game will be made up in early September. It's unclear how the Orioles plan to adjust their rotation, but Kremer could start Thursday in Boston with every other pitcher being pushed back a day.
Aug 6, 2022
Shuts down Bucs for fourth win
Kremer (4-3) picked up the win Friday, scattering four hits over 6.1 scoreless innings in a 1-0 victory over the Pirates. He struck out two without walking a batter.
ANALYSIS
It was a somewhat unlikely pitchers' duel between Kremer and Mitch Keller on the night, but the Baltimore righty came out on top. Kremer tossed 61 of 83 pitches for strikes as he recorded his third quality start in 11 outings this season, but it's actually the fifth time he's shut out the opposition during his time on the mound, leaving him with a 3.43 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 43:14 K:BB through 57.2 innings.
Jul 31, 2022
Pummeled for six runs
Kremer (3-3) gave up six earned runs on ten hits and a walk while striking out three over 4.1 innings to take the loss in an 8-2 defeat to the Reds on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Kremer had difficulties missing the Reds' bats, giving up eight hard hit balls with an exit velocity of over 95 mph. Two of them left the yard for home runs. It has been a rough stretch for Kremer who had earlier pitched to a 1.29 ERA in June. His ERA has now risen to 3.86 after struggling in four of his five starts in July. Kremer is tentatively expected to make his next turn in the rotation next week in a favorable matchup versus the Pirates.
Jul 25, 2022
Allows four runs in loss
Kremer (3-2) took the loss against the Yankees on Sunday, allowing four runs on five hits while striking out six and walking one over 5.1 innings.
ANALYSIS
After finishing June with a 1.29 ERA, Kremer has not seen the same success in July. After allowing four runs to the Yankees, the righty now has 12 earned runs in 19 innings this month, giving him a 5.68 July ERA. Despite Sunday's rough outing where he threw 55 of 83 pitches for strikes, Kremer still sports a modest 3.06 ERA for the season.
Jul 17, 2022
Goes only four innings Saturday
Kremer did not factor in the decision against Tampa Bay on Saturday, allowing three runs on eight hits while striking out two batters over four innings.
ANALYSIS
Kremer didn't issue any walks in the contest, but he uncorked two wild pitches, each of which allowed a run to cross the plate. He had trouble keeping runners off the basepaths, and the damage against him on the scoreboard could have been worse if not for a pair of double plays behind him. This was his shortest outing of the campaign and just the second time in his past seven starts that he failed to complete five innings. Kremer finishes the first half with a 2.59 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 32:12 K:BB over 41.2 innings.
Jul 10, 2022
Strikes out seven in win
Kremer (3-1) earned the win against the Angels on Saturday, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out seven and walking three.
ANALYSIS
Kremer did well against a potent Angels offense, throwing 58 of 98 pitches for strikes and limiting his opponent to just five baserunners. Aside from his last outing against Texas where he allowed five runs in 4.2 innings, Kremer has pitched well since he was called up on June 5. Saturday's outing was the fourth time in seven games that the righty has not allowed a run. Kremer will take a 2.15 ERA into his next appearance.
Jul 4, 2022
Falls back to Earth
Kremer gave up five runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four over 4.2 innings Monday against the Rangers. He didn't factor into the decision.
ANALYSIS
Kremer turned in his worst performance of the 2022 season Monday after surrendering just five runs (four earned) over his first five outings of the campaign over 28 frames. Things really fell apart in the fifth inning for Kremer, giving up all five runs in the inning on a sacrifice fly, an RBI single and a three-run shot. Despite this, the right-hander still owns a 2.48 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with a 23:9 K:BB across 32.2 innings on the year.
Jun 29, 2022
Keeps runs off board again
Kremer allowed four hits and two walks while striking out five over seven scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Despite a third straight start with no runs allowed, Kremer was slightly outplayed by Mariners starter Robbie Ray in the low-scoring contest. Neither starter factored in the decision after their seven-inning duel, with the Mariners tallying the only two runs in the eighth off a pair of Orioles relievers. Kremer has gone 18.2 innings since he last allowed a run, but he has just one win in three starts in that span. He's now at a 1.29 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 19:7 K:BB in 28 innings across five starts. The 26-year-old is projected for a home start versus the Rangers next week.
Jun 23, 2022
Extends scoreless streak
Kremer (2-1) allowed seven hits, a walk and a hit batter while striking out four in 5.2 shutout innings to earn the win Thursday over the White Sox.
ANALYSIS
For the second start in a row, Kremer kept runs off the board, and he was rewarded with his second win of the year. The seven hits he allowed marked a season high, but he wasn't punished for them. The right-hander now has a 1.71 ERA across 21 innings, though his 1.24 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB suggest he hasn't been quite as dominant as the surface stats make it look. Nonetheless, Kremer's putting in work to earn himself some job security in the Orioles' rotation. He's on track for a road start next week in Seattle.
Jun 17, 2022
Tosses five shutout frames
Kremer allowed five hits and a walk over five scoreless innings in Friday's win over Tampa Bay. He struck out five and did not factor in the decision.
ANALYSIS
Kremer was locked into a duel against Shane Baz and the Orioles' offense couldn't break the scoreless tie until both starters were out of the game. The 26-year-old lowered his ERA to 2.35 through three MLB starts this season. Over his last two outings, he's allowed just one earned run through 10 innings. Kremer is lined up to face the Nationals at home next week.
Jun 12, 2022
Earns first win Sunday
Kremer (1-1) earned the victory Sunday in Kansas City, striking out two in five innings while allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks.
ANALYSIS
Kremer held the Royals scoreless through the first five innings, scattering three singles and a couple of walks. He allowed a single to lead off the sixth and, following an error by Richie Martin that led to a run, Kremer's day ended. It was the second start of the season for the 26-year-old and he has a 3.86 ERA through 9.1 innings. His next start will likely be next weekend against Tampa Bay.
Jun 7, 2022
Receiving another start
Manager Brandon Hyde said Tuesday that Kremer will remain in the Orioles rotation and make his next start during the team's series in Kansas City this weekend, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kremer tentatively lines up to start Saturday, unless the Orioles add another starter to the rotation this week that would result in him being pushed back a day. In his return from the 10-day injured list last weekend against Cleveland, Kremer covered 4.1 innings and struck out three while giving up three earned runs on five hits and one walk.
Jun 5, 2022
Charged with loss in 2022 debut
Kremer (0-1) allowed three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out three in 4.1 innings to take the loss in Sunday's game against the Guardians.
ANALYSIS
Kremer made the Orioles' Opening Day roster this year, but he's been dealing with an oblique injury since early April that prevented him from pitching in the majors prior to Sunday. The righty gave up a three-run homer with two outs in the first inning, but he held the Guardians scoreless during the rest of his outing. In total, Kremer threw 67 pitches (46 strikes), but he took the loss in the low-scoring matchup. He tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Kansas City on Sunday.
Jun 5, 2022
Activated, starting Sunday
Kremer (oblique) was activated from the injured list ahead of his start Sunday against the Guardians.
ANALYSIS
He hasn't pitched in the majors yet this season, but Kremer was dominant on his rehab assignment, logging nine scoreless innings while striking out 18 and walking two in three appearances. He threw four innings in his last start, so he should be stretched out enough to go five or more innings in this one.
May 29, 2022
Excels in third rehab start
Kremer (oblique) struck out seven and gave up one hit and one walk over four scoreless innings Sunday in his rehab start for Triple-A Norfolk.
ANALYSIS
Making the third minor-league start of his rehab assignment, Kremer built up to 60 pitches (36 strikes) and breezed through the outing. Between stops at Norfolk and Double-A Bowie during the assignment, Kremer has struck out 18 and issued only two walks over nine innings. He could be available to return from the 10-day injured list to make his next start in the big leagues during the Orioles' home series with the Guardians next weekend.
May 23, 2022
Shifts rehab to Triple-A
Kremer (oblique) is scheduled to make his second rehab appearance Tuesday with Triple-A Norfolk, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Kremer is presumably looking to work deeper into Tuesday's outing than he did in his initial rehab appearance with Double-A Bowie on May 18, when he struck out five over two scoreless innings (25 pitches). The 26-year-old right-hander had been in line for a spot in the Orioles' Opening Day rotation until a left oblique strain suffered during a bullpen session prior to his first start resulted in him moving to the IL. Kremer may not be guaranteed a spot in Baltimore's rotation once he's fully ramped up.
May 17, 2022
Cleared for rehab assignment
Kremer (oblique) will report to Double-A Bowie on Wednesday to begin a rehab assignment, Andy Kostka of The Baltimore Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Kremer has been sidelined since early April with the left oblique strain, so he'll likely need at least two outings in the minors to get stretched back out for starting duties. Given that he submitted a lowly 7.55 ERA and 1.64 WHIP across his 13 starts with the big club in 2022, Kremer won't be guaranteed a rotation spot with the Orioles at the conclusion of his rehab assignment. Whether Kremer slots into the Baltimore rotation, works out of the bullpen or gets optioned to Triple-A Norfolk once activated from the 10-day injured list will likely be determined by how he performs on his rehab assignment in addition to how back-end starters Spenser Watkins and Kyle Bradish fare in their next few outings.
Apr 27, 2022
Begins throwing progression
Kremer (oblique) has begun a throwing progression, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kremer was initially expected to miss at least 3-to-4 weeks after being placed on the 10-day injured list April 11, but general manager Mike Elias said Wednesday that the right-hander is likely still several weeks away from rejoining the major-league club. Kremer has been playing long toss recently, but he'll still need to build up before returning to game action.
Apr 11, 2022
Placed on 10-day IL
Kremer was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old was slated to make his season debut Tuesday against the Brewers, but after hurting his oblique Sunday while warming up he'll be placed on IL instead. Manager Brandon Hyde expects Kremer to be out at least three weeks, but doesn't expect it to be a 60-day IL situation. It has yet to be announced who will start in his place Tuesday, but current bullpen arm Keegan Akin could be an option considering he made 17 starts in 2021.
Apr 10, 2022
Dealing with oblique issue
Kremer felt something in his oblique while warming up in the bullpen during Sunday's loss to the Rays, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Kremer was in the mix to operate as Baltimore's No. 5 starter to begin the season, but he was instead warming up to come out of the bullpen Sunday before the oblique issue cropped up. The specifics of the injury remain unclear, and the 26-year-old should be considered day-to-day until the team updates his status.
Apr 6, 2022
Included on initial roster
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Wednesday that Kremer will be included on the team's initial 28-man Opening Day roster, Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Baltimore will open the season with John Means, Jordan Lyles, Tyler Wells and Bruce Zimmermann as its four starters, but Hyde has yet to decide on a No. 5 starter. Though the likes of Kremer, Keegan Akin and Mike Baumann are all candidates to fill that role, Hyde left the door open that the Orioles look outside of the organization to bolster their pitching staff in advance of Opening Day. If that's the case, at least one of Kremer, Akin and Baumann would likely be at risk of losing his spot on the active roster and instead head to Triple-A Norfolk to pick up regular starts. Even if Kremer emerges as the No. 5 starter, his fantasy upside isn't particularly high; through 17 career big-league starts, he owns a 6.84 ERA and 1.59 WHIP.
Apr 4, 2022
Struggling in spring
Kremer has allowed nine runs (eight earned) on 15 hits and three walks with 11 strikeouts in nine innings across three Grapefruit League appearances.
ANALYSIS
The Orioles' rotation remains in flux with Opening Day looming, but Kremer is likely to be on the big-league roster to start the season. It's unclear if he'll ultimately work as a traditional starter or in a tandem, though it'll likely be the latter. The right-hander struggled to a 7.55 ERA, 1.64 WHIP, 47:25 K:BB and 0-7 record across 13 starts with the Orioles last season. General manager Mike Elias called out some of the young arms in the organization to step up this season, so Kremer will need to make significant progress to stay in the team's plans long-term, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Sep 11, 2021
Heads back to minors
Kremer was returned to Triple-A Norfolk following Saturday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kremer was called up as the 29th man to serve as the starter in Saturday's matinee against Toronto, and he allowed five runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out two in four innings. The 25-year-old has a 5.40 ERA in 53.1 innings in Norfolk.
Sep 11, 2021
Up to start Game 1 against Toronto
Kremer was recalled to start Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
He is up as the 29th man, so this may just be a spot start. Kremer hasn't pitched in the majors since June 24 in Toronto, where he allowed six runs and walked five batters in one-third of an inning. Since then, he has logged a 5.64 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 46 strikeouts in 44.2 innings at Triple-A.
Jun 25, 2021
Sent back to Triple-A
Kremer was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Friday.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old surrendered six runs while recording only one out in Thursday's start versus Toronto, prompting his return to the minors. Kremer has made 12 started for the Orioles this season and has struggled with a 7.25 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 45:24 K:BB across 49.2 innings. He may need to show significant improvements at Triple-A in order to receive another look in the big-league rotation.
Jun 24, 2021
Implodes in seventh loss
Kremer (0-7) was charged with the loss Thursday against the Blue Jays after surrendering six runs while recording one out. He gave up two hits and five walks without registering a strikeout.
ANALYSIS
After walking the bases loaded to start things off, Kremer allowed his fourth batter to reach with an RBI single. He did manage to get Randal Grichuk to ground out, causing another run, but it only got worse from there. Cavan Biggio walked, and Lourdes Gurriel capitalized with a grand slam. Kremer issued yet another free pass, this time to Joe Panik, before he was lifted from the atrocious outing. The right-hander, still winless on the season, had performed well during his last two starts to hold onto his spot in the rotation with John Means (shoulder) and Bruce Zimmermann (biceps) on the injured list. If he gets another chance, it will tentatively come on the road against the Astros on Tuesday.
Jun 20, 2021
Posts quality start in no-decision
Kremer didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 10-7 loss to the Blue Jays after giving up two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out six over six innings.
ANALYSIS
The quality start was the second of the season of Kremer, who looked poised to pick up his first win of the campaign until the Baltimore bullpen squandered a 7-4 lead in the ninth inning. While wins will likely remain few and far between for Kremer while he pitches for a 23-47 Baltimore squad, he's performed well enough over his past two starts to at least stick in the rotation while John Means (shoulder) and Bruce Zimmermann (biceps) are on the shelf.
Jun 19, 2021
Gets another start
Kremer will start Saturday's game against the Blue Jays, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Baltimore is down two starting pitchers in John Means (shoulder) and Bruce Zimmermann (biceps), so Kremer will receive a second straight turn through the rotation following his promotion from Triple-A Norfolk earlier in the week. He acquitted himself well in his start Monday against Cleveland, working 5.1 innings and giving up four runs (three earned) on four hits and no walks en route to taking a loss. For the season, Kremer is 0-6 with a 6.65 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 39:16 K:BB in 43.1 innings.
Jun 15, 2021
Remains winless
Kremer (0-6) took the loss Monday, giving up four runs (three earned) on four hits over 5.1 innings as the Orioles were downed 4-3 by Cleveland. He struck out two without walking a batter.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old continues to hunt for his first win of 2021, but this was actually one of Kremer's better efforts for Baltimore -- it's only the second time in 10 starts he's pitched past the fifth inning, and he'd surrendered nine earned runs over seven innings in his last two starts before his late May demotion. He'll carry a 6.65 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 39:16 K:BB through 43.1 innings into his next outing.
Jun 14, 2021
Recalled by Baltimore
Kremer has been recalled by the Orioles and will start Monday's game against Cleveland, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kremer was sent to Triple-A Norfolk on May 26 after he allowed five earned runs on six hits and three walks across four innings in his last start. The right-hander has been charged with five losses in his first nine major-league starts this year, but he'll take the mound in Monday's series opener. In two starts with the minor-league club, Kremer allowed five runs (four earned) on three hits and five walks while striking out 14 in 8.2 innings.
May 26, 2021
Demoted after rough start
The Orioles optioned Kremer to Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Kremer heads back to the minors one day after he was roughed up by the Twins for five runs on six hits and three walks over four innings to drop to 0-5 on the season. The Orioles haven't named an immediate replacement in the rotation for Kremer, but long reliever Keegan Akin would appear to be the most logical option to fill the opening.
May 26, 2021
Takes another loss
Kremer (0-5) allowed five earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out five across four innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Twins.
ANALYSIS
Kremer struggled with his control beyond his three walks, with two runs crossing the plate on wild pitches in the second inning. He was also hit hard at times, as he surrendered two extra-base hits in the same frame. Though he's shown glimpses of turning his promise as a prospect into results, Kremer now has a 6.87 ERA with a 37:16 K:BB across 38 innings this season. He's projected to draw his next start Sunday at the White Sox.
May 21, 2021
Rough outing against Rays
Kremer (0-4) allowed four earned runs on five hits and four walks while striking out three across three innings to take the loss Thursday against the Rays.
ANALYSIS
Kremer allowed three hits, two walks and all four of his earned runs in the second inning. However, he was never really all that effective, as he allowed multiple baserunners in all three frames that he pitched. Across eight starts this season, Kremer has maintained a 6.35 ERA and 32:13 K:BB across 34 innings. He's projected to take the mound Tuesday at the Twins.
May 15, 2021
Allows two homers in no decision
Kremer allowed two runs on five hits while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision against the Yankees on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Both runs Kremer gave up came off the bat of Aaron Judge as he was taken deep twice by the 29-year-old slugger. He otherwise didn't face too much pressure with the rest of the Yankee lineup, allowing just three singles while not walking a batter. Kremer remains winless on the year with a 5.81 ERA and will look to change that in a home matchup with the Rays next week.
May 9, 2021
Charged with third loss
Kremer (0-3) allowed three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out three in five innings to take the loss against the Red Sox on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Kremer had his best start of the season Monday, and he allowed just one run across the first five innings Sunday. However, he gave up a pair of singles to begin the sixth inning, and the runners were later brought across the plate to put Kremer in line for his third loss of the year. The right-hander has posted a 6.23 ERA and 1.54 WHIP in 26 innings across his first six starts of the year. Kremer tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Yankees on Friday.
May 4, 2021
First quality start
Kremer tossed six innings Monday, permitting two hits, two walks and one run with four strikeouts in a 5-3 win.
ANALYSIS
This was far and away Kremer's best start of the year as it was his first time going at least five innings and allowing fewer than three runs. The solid performance most likely earned him another turn through the rotation.
Apr 28, 2021
Hit hard in loss
Kremer (0-2) allowed six runs on 10 hits with four strikeouts over 4.1 innings in a loss to the Yankees on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Kremer's biggest mistakes were a pair of home runs -- a solo shot to Mike Ford in the second inning and Gio Urshela's three-run blast in the third. The 25-year-old Kremer hasn't found much success this season with an 8.40 ERA, 2.00 WHIP and 18:6 K:BB across 15 innings. Given his struggles, it's unclear how long they'll let Kremer work as the fifth starter. He's currently projected for another start Monday in Seattle.
Apr 28, 2021
Recalled ahead of start
Kremer was recalled from the Orioles' alternate training site ahead of his scheduled start against the Yankees on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Kremer will make his fourth start of the season Wednesday, although it's unclear whether his appearance is a spot start or an opportunity to earn a rotation spot. Kremer posted a 6.75 ERA and 14:6 K:BB in 10.2 innings across his first three starts of the year.
Apr 27, 2021
Getting spot start Wednesday
Kremer will start Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
He has a 6.75 ERA, 1.87 WHIP and 14:6 K:BB in 10.2 innings through three appearances. It is unclear whether Kremer will get a strict spot start or whether he could earn another chance with a solid performance Wednesday.
Apr 18, 2021
Optioned after solid start
Kremer was optioned to the alternate training site following Saturday's 6-1 win over the Rangers, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports. He didn't factor in the decision after allowing one run on five hits with six strikeouts and one walk over 4.2 innings.
ANALYSIS
The Orioles didn't score any runs until the final three frames Saturday, so the 25-year-old wouldn't have picked up the victory even if he went the required five innings. Kremer started on three days' rest and delivered his best start of the season on the road. Baltimore has a pair of scheduled off days this week, so the right-hander will head to the alternate site and could remain there until the team needs a fifth starter April 27 versus the Yankees.
Apr 16, 2021
Returning on short rest
Kremer will start Saturday against the Rangers, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kremer will be on three days' rest, as he most recently took the hill Tuesday against the Mariners. He was knocked out of that game after throwing just 54 pitches, however, so he should be allowed to go fairly deep into Saturday's contest if he can keep runs off the board.
Apr 14, 2021
Short outing in no-decision
Kremer didn't factor into the decision in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Mariners, allowing four runs on four hits and a walk over three innings in a 7-6 win. He struck out three.
ANALYSIS
The young righty held Seattle off the board for two innings before the wheels came off in the third, and Kremer tossed 34 of 54 pitches for strikes before getting the hook. His ERA on the year sits at a bloated 10.50 through six innings with an 8:5 K:BB, but if he stays on turn he'll get some extra time to clear his head before his next scheduled outing April 20 in Miami.

Rained out Monday
Kremer will not make his scheduled start Monday since the game has been postponed due to inclement weather, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
The game was in a rain delay for well over an hour before it was called. It will be made up Tuesday as part of a doubleheader. Baltimore has not announced its pitching plans, but Kremer figures to just move back to start one game of the twin bill.

Short outing in loss
Kremer (0-1) took the loss against the Yankees on Tuesday, surrendering three runs on five hits and four walks while striking out five over three innings.
ANALYSIS
Despite working his way into a first inning jam by loading the bases with no outs, Kremer struck out the next three Yankees to finish off the inning blemish-free. After Veteran Jay Bruce got to Kremer in the second inning with a solo home run, the 25-year-old held it together until the fourth, when he walked three straight batters, prompting his exit from the game. Kremer debuted in the majors in September, going 1-1 with a 4.92 ERA. He then struggled with command during Spring Training, issuing 12 walks in 18.2 innings. He'll look to turn things around Monday at Seattle.

Seizes rotation spot
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde confirmed Monday that Kremer would open the season as a member of the rotation, Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kremer is scheduled to take the ball for the Orioles' fifth game of the season April 6 in New York against the Yankees. The 25-year-old righty showed the ability to make bats miss (22 strikeouts in 18.2 innings) in his first taste of the big leagues last September, but control (12 walks) was a concern. With that in mind, Kremer is best viewed as a late-round flier in AL-only leagues or as a streaming option when the Orioles are opposing a weak offense.

Settling down recently
Kremer has allowed four runs on seven hits and five walks while striking out eight over 7.2 innings during three spring starts this year.
ANALYSIS
All four of Kremer's appearances with the Orioles last year came as a starter, and he's worked exclusively as a starter this spring. The right-hander appears to be building up for a rotation role to begin the regular season, but manager Brandon Hyde hasn't yet indicated which pitchers will serve as starters early in the season. Hyde has said that the team has "10-to-12" pitchers who could serve as starters, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports. Kremer will start Friday's Grapefruit League game and could have one or two more spring appearances before presumably beginning the year as part of the starting rotation.

Sent to alternate site
Kremer was optioned to the Orioles' alternate training site Thursday.
ANALYSIS
He was not scheduled to make another start this season, so the Orioles will summon some bullpen depth in David Hess. Kremer gave up more runs (seven) in his last start than he did in his first three combined (three), finishing with a 4.82 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 22:12 K:BB in 18.2 innings. He walked three batters in each of his four starts.

Lit up by Red Sox
Kremer (1-1) allowed seven runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out two over 2.2 innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
While he didn't allow any homers, all four run-scoring hits the Red Sox produced in the third inning went for extra bases, three of which came off Kremer. That hard contact made it a short outing for the righty, who will finish 2020 with a 4.82 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 22:12 K:BB in 18.2 innings across four starts. He hadn't allowed more than one run in a game prior to Wednesday.

Fans six in no-decision
Kremer didn't factor into the decision in the first game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Rays, giving up one run on three hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out six.
ANALYSIS
He was headed for his first loss in the majors before Ryan Mountcastle's RBI single in the sixth tied the score at 1-1 and got Kremer off the hook. The rookie right-hander has been lights outs in his first three starts for Baltimore, not allowing more than one run in any of them, and he'll carry a 1.69 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 20:9 K:BB through 16 innings into his final outing of the season Wednesday in Boston.

Delivers five solid frames
Kremer gave up one run on four hits with seven strikeouts over five innings during Saturday's 2-1, 10-inning loss to the Yankees. He had three walks and did not factor in the decision.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old faced the Yankees for the second time in as many starts and managed to keep them in check once again. Kremer has surrendered only two runs on five hits with a 14:6 K:BB through his first two big-league starts (11 innings), and he lines up to pitch against the Rays next week.

Sharp in major-league debut
Kremer (1-0) allowed one run on one hit and three walks while striking out seven over six innings as he earned the win Sunday against the Yankees.
ANALYSIS
Kremer was rewarded with a win in his MLB debut as he held the Yankees in check Sunday. He allowed one run in the second inning, but he quelled the Yankees' run production otherwise. Kremer threw 88 pitches, signaling that he should be built up to a full workload going forward. He'll face the Yankees again Saturday in New York.

Recalled, starting Sunday
Kremer was recalled from the Orioles' alternate training site and will start Sunday against the Yankees, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Kremer was added to the 40-man roster last November after a successful run at the Double-A level, and will now get a chance to make his major-league debut opposite Masahiro Tanaka. Part of the Orioles' return for Manny Machado in 2018, Kremer averaged 10.9 K/9 across four minor-league seasons. The 24-year-old may be here to stay, though it's unclear how built up he is at the moment.

Added to player pool
The Orioles added Kremer to their 60-man roster pool Tuesday, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Kremer will take the 60-man spot of infielder Richie Martin (wrist), who was placed on the 60-day injured list in a corresponding move. The Orioles will have Kremer report to their alternative summer-camp site in Bowie, so the right-handed pitcher doesn't look as though he'll warrant any serious consideration for the Opening Day roster. Kremer saw action at three minor-league levels in 2019, posting a 3.72 ERA and 1.30 WHIP across 113.2 innings.

Impresses during spring training
Kremer allowed no runs off six hits and two walks while recording five strikeouts over 5.1 innings during spring training.
ANALYSIS
Kremer pitched well over a limited sample size this spring, but he'll still likely begin the season in the minors. The 24-year-old recorded an 8.84 ERA and 1.78 WHIP over 19.1 innings at the Triple-A level last season. If Kremer can continue to build on his production from spring training, it wouldn't be surprising to see him debut in the majors at some point in 2020.
