The 11 boards were certainly a nice surprise from Dort but the guard will need to pick things up on offense as he's now shot below 30 percent from the floor in three of his last six games.

Dort has started in all but one of his appearances this season and recorded a solid outing in the Thunder's final game before the All-Star break. The former Arizona State standout has been unable to deliver the same numbers he recorded last season, in part due to the emergence of Josh Giddey as a reliable scoring weapon, but he continues to be a decent fantasy asset. He's averaging 14.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and a career-best 1.0 steals per game so far.

Dort will return to the starting lineup for Monday's matchup with the Pelicans, source reports.

He's becoming more and more worthy of roster consideration in fantasy leagues.

Dort posted his second game with at least 20 points this season, but he also tied his season-high mark for rebounds and established a new career-high for steals, so it was clear this was one of his best games of the season. Dort has scored in double digits in three of his last four games, so he seems to be rediscovering the shooting touch he had earlier on the season, when he averaged 18.7 points per game over his first three appearances of the campaign.

Dort finished with 13 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three boards, and one steal in 25 minutes of a 129-116 win against the Nets on Sunday.

Dort turned in a double-digit scoring effort for the fifth time this season, but just the second time in his last six games. The second year man has doubled his scoring average from the previous season, thanks in part to much improved shooting from the field. He'll face the Spurs on Tuesday.

Dort had a brilliant shooting night, going nine-for 11 from the floor. Dort came on strong as a stellar defensive presence in the Orlando bubble, but a lack of offense held his fantasy value in check. As a newly-minted member of the starting five, Dort has flipped the script, and the hybrid guard-forward is flashing some of the sharpshooting skills that earned him second-team All-Pac-12 Conference honors with Arizona State. The fact that he was an undrafted G-League afterthought a year ago makes his story all the more impressive.

Only Shai Gilgeous-Alexander matched Dort's minute totals in the contest. That allowed Dort to launch 12 shots, tied for second-most on the team. He remains a subpar shooter, but should rack up plenty of steals and rebounds with consistent minutes.

Not only was Dort dominant on the offensive end, but he also limited James Harden to just 18 points on 4-of-15 shooting. While this is a clear outlier for Dort, it does demonstrate an ability to get hot at times. His defensive prowess is likely to keep him on the floor next season and if the offense continues to grow, he could be worth a look late in drafts next season.

Dort's defense was stellar, as he contained Houston's James Harden and kept him from single-handedly taking over. Nevertheless, Dort's defensive ability doesn't often translate into copious counting stats, so those in daily fantasy leagues can likely view him as a dart throw at best.

Surprisingly cleared to play, Dort will be inserted into the starting lineup to presumably guard James Harden. Thursday will mark Dort's 29th straight start in games he's appeared in, and across this stretch, he's averaging 7.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 24.5 minutes.

While Dort's role isn't that of a scorer, he's totaled a solid 40 points across the past three games.

With Dennis Schroder (personal) absent, an increased role was expected for Dort, but Hamidou Diallo was also in consideration for more minutes. The rookie out of Arizona State kept Diallo off the floor, and also decreased Shai-Gilgeous Alexander's role somewhat. The Thunder played at a different speed when Dort was in the lineup, and his tremendous hustle and defensive skills were apparent to anyone watching the game. Shooting is still his weakness, and if he hopes to carve a more significant role, he needs to sort that issue out. Still, the guard has enormous potential and should see a similar workload until Dennis Schroder returns.

The flashes of talent are merely a mental note at this juncture.

The rookie's lack of standout production in any one area limits his fantasy utility, though he's probably done enough at this point to keep himself entrenched atop the depth chart at small forward.

Dort has maintained his spot in the starting five following Terrance Ferguson's (personal) return to action earlier this month, but the rookie's low usage on offense makes his fantasy appeal minimal. Friday's outing marked the first time in seven games that he reached double figures in scoring.

Dort amassed 23 points (8-12 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one steal and one block in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 120-100 victory over the Kings.

Dort exploded on what was a career night, demonstrating his ability to convert from downtown. Despite the impressive performance, Dort is not a player to consider adding anywhere outside of deeper formats. This would appear to be somewhat of an outlier based on what we have seen thus far. However, this is the one position the Thunder have had some trouble in filling on a regular basis and perhaps Dort will be able to carve out a decent role moving forward.

The rookie factored into the rotation on Saturday against Portland, but on the whole this season, his appearances have been few and far between. Even so, the Thunder apparently like what they saw out of the Arizona State product, who will get the nod at small forward with Terrance Ferguson and Abdel Nader out of action. Dort saw 20 minutes of action off the bench Saturday.
