Nijel Pack Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Sooners vs Golden Eagles game on tomorrow with our NCAA BASKETBALL injury report.Nov 20, 2023
Goes for 28 points Sunday
Pack provided 28 points (9-16 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, one block and one steal across 36 minutes during Sunday's 91-83 win over Kansas State.
ANALYSIS
The Hurricanes are playing exceptionally well to start the season. While Matt Cleveland and Wooga Poplar have delivered impressive displays to begin the year, Sunday was Pack's turn to make an impact. This was the first time he surpassed the 20-point mark in the 2023-24 season, but it's worth noting he has scored 15-plus points in three straight contests.
Nov 14, 2023
Puts up 17 points in win
Pack produced 17 points (7-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-3 FT), two rebounds, five assists and two steals over 36 minutes during Monday's 86-80 win over FIU.
ANALYSIS
Pack has been playing better and better with each passing, and this was the first time in which he scored more than 15 points. He had strong numbers in 2022-23, but he might have to settle for a more secondary role this season with the arrival of Matt Cleveland and the strong start of both Bensley Joseph and Wooga Poplar. Pack averaged 13.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 31.6 minutes in 2022-23.
May 19, 2023
Returning to Miami for 2023-24
Pack withdrew his name from the 2023 NBA Draft on Friday and will return to Miami next season, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Pack started in all 35 of his appearances last season and helped lead Miami to the Final Four in the NCAA Tournament. He averaged 13.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 31.6 minutes. Pack figures to be a key contributor again in 2023-24.
Apr 25, 2023
Declares for NBA Draft
Pack entered his name in the 2023 NBA Draft on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Pack averaged 13.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 31.6 minutes across 35 games in 2022-23. While he will maintain his college eligibility, Pack's 40.4 three-point percentage on 6.1 attempts per game might entice NBA teams to take a shot on him.
Mar 27, 2023
Scores 15 to reach Final Four
Pack finished with 15 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two assists and one steal across 36 minutes during Sunday's 88-81 victory over Texas.
ANALYSIS
Pack wasn't as efficient as in other Tournament games, but he posted a strong scoring line once again. He's averaging 18.5 points per contest, shooting 51 percent from the field and 44.8 percent from deep in four Tournament appearances.
Mar 25, 2023
Season-high 26 points in win
Pack notched 26 points (8-12 FG, 7-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal over 35 minutes during Friday's 89-75 victory over Houston.
ANALYSIS
The sophomore reached a season-high in scoring with 26 points off a very impressive 70 percent from beyond the three-point line on 10 shot attempts. Pack is averaging 19.7 points per game this tournament and looks to continue the hot shooting Sunday against Texas.
Mar 18, 2023
Scores 21 points in win
Pack supplied 21 points (7-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds and two steals over 35 minutes during Friday's 63-56 win over Drake.
ANALYSIS
Pack was one of the best performers for the Hurricanes in this game, but that is not a surprise since he's been a consistent contributor for Miami all season long. Up next there's a matchup against Indiana on Sunday.
Mar 5, 2023
Plays 33 minutes in return
Pack finished with nine points (4-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt), one rebound, three assists and one block over 33 minutes during Saturday's 78-76 victory over Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
Pack saw his typical playing time and usage following a one-game absence due to a leg injury. The Kansas State transfer ultimately finished the 2022-23 regular season
Mar 4, 2023
Starting in return
Pack (leg) is listed in Miami's starting lineup for Saturday's showdown with Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
Pack, who missed Miami's last matchup against Florida State, will start in his return this Saturday. The 6-foot sophomore will look to make an impact in his return for the Hurricanes.
Mar 4, 2023
Expected to play Saturday
Pack (leg) is expected to play today against Pitt, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
The sophomore is expected to play, but will be a game-time decision due to a leg injury that kept him out of Miami's last game against Florida State. Pack has been the leader of this team and has been great this season averaging 13.6 points per game.
Mar 3, 2023
Returns to practice
Pack (lower body) returned to practice in a limited role, Michelle Kaufman of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing last Saturday's game with a lower body injury, Pack made his return to the court this week. Pack is still a game time decision for Saturday's game against Pittsburgh, but the team is optimistic about his return. The sophomore guard is the fourth leading scorer on the team, averaging 13.6 points per game.
Feb 25, 2023
Out Saturday
Pack (lower body) will be inactive for Saturday's game against Florida State.
ANALYSIS
Pack is set to miss just his second game of the season, sitting out Saturday with a "lower extremity" injury. The 6-foot sophomore, who has averaged 13.6 points and 2.5 assists on 31.1 minutes per game this season, will have his next opportunity to return next weekend against Pittsburgh.
Feb 19, 2023
Scores 24 points
Pack logged 24 points (9-17 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT) four assists, four steals and three rebounds across 37 minutes during Miami's 96-87 win Saturday versus Wake Forest.
ANALYSIS
Pack logged more than 20 points twice from November to January. The sophomore scored 22, 23 and 24 across three games Miami played mid-February. Miami's latest matchup is a culmination of how excellent he was during the period.
Feb 13, 2023
Goes for 23 points vs Louisville
Pack provided 22 points (8-14 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Saturday's 93-85 victory over Louisville.
ANALYSIS
Pack has scored at least 20 points in two of his last three contests, and he has been one of the most consistent players for Miami all season long. The sophomore has adjusted well to the ACC, and he's averaging 13.5 points with 2.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game since the start of January.
Jan 22, 2023
Better at Duke
Pack logged 18 points (6-15 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two steals and one assist across 33 minutes during Miami's 68-66 loss Saturday at Duke.
ANALYSIS
Across the Hurricanes' first half of January, they played outside Miami twice. Pack logged a field goal percentage worse than 33.3 both games. It was 40.0 across their matchup at Duke; and despite his scoring inefficiency during the first three weeks of January, he averaged 12.0 points.
Dec 31, 2022
Surpasses 20-point mark again
Pack recorded 21 points (8-13 FG, 5-8 3Pt), three rebounds and four steals in 31 minutes during Friday's 76-65 win over Notre Dame.
ANALYSIS
Pack has scored at least 20 points just twice this season, and in fact, this was a huge bounce-back effort for him, as he hadn't scored in double digits since Nov. 27, when he posted 16 points in a win at UCF. Pack sits behind Norchad Omier and Isaiah Wong when it comes to the pecking order on offense, but he's still putting up decent numbers with 11.9 points, 2.6 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game on the season.
Dec 20, 2022
Plays 36 minutes
Pack produced 10 points (4-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and one assist in 36 minutes during Tuesday's 66-64 win over Virginia.
ANALYSIS
Pack's 36 minutes are his best across 12 games the Hurricanes have played in between Nov. 7 and Dec. 20. Concerning a previous illness he had, fantasy managers should not consider that problematic anymore.
Dec 20, 2022
Returns to starting lineup
Pack is in the starting five for Tuesday's game versus Virginia.
ANALYSIS
Pack will return to the starting lineup after missing Saturday's game with an illness. The sophomore guard has started in all 11 of his appearances this season.
Dec 20, 2022
Available vs. Virginia
Pack (illness) is available Tuesday versus Virginia, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
ANALYSIS
Now that Pack is available, he will try being part of the Hurricanes' starting lineup Tuesday. Bensley Joseph is expected to be a backup again.
Dec 19, 2022
Back at practice Monday
Pack (illness) was spotted at practice on Monday, Luke Chaney of All Hurricane reports.
ANALYSIS
Pack did not play in Saturday's contest against St. Francis due to an illness. It appears the Kansas State transfer should have a decent chance to suit up in Tuesday's game against Virginia. Pack is averaging 11.3 points, 3.0 assists, and 1.7 three-pointers this season, but has not broken double digits scoring since Nov. 27 against UCF.
Dec 17, 2022
Out Saturday
Pack will not play in Saturday's game against St. Francis due to an illness.
ANALYSIS
Pack's absence figures to give Nisine Poplar an opportunity for more work at shooting guard, while Bensley Joseph also figures to benefit. His next opportunity to suit up will come Tuesday versus Virginia.
Nov 28, 2022
Goes for 16 points Sunday
Pack registered 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt), two rebounds, three assists and one steal in 29 minutes during Sunday's 66-64 victory over UCF.
ANALYSIS
Pack tied his second-best scoring mark of the campaign, and he's now posted double-digit points in five of his seven appearances in the current campaign. He has already established himself as one of the go-to threats on offense in his first year with the program, and he's averaging 13.0 points while shooting 46.2 percent from the field in the current campaign.
Nov 24, 2022
Scores team-high 23 points in win
Pack accumulated 23 points (9-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 79-56 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
Pack has started in each of Miami's six games this season and has looked impressive, registering double-digit points in four of those outings. This 23-point performance was a season-high mark for him, and he is averaging 12.5 points this season while shooting 42.6 percent from the field.
Nov 8, 2022
Scores 16 in season debut
Pack chipped in 16 points (5-13 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes during Monday's 67-54 victory over Lafayette.
ANALYSIS
Pack joined the Hurricanes after spending the first two years of his college career with Kansas State, and all signs point to him having a prominent role in the backcourt next to veteran point guard Isaiah Wong. Pack averaged 17.4 points per game during his sophomore year with the Wildcats.
Oct 31, 2022
Leading distributor in exhibition
Pack had 11 points (5-14 FG, 1-7 3Pt), six rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block across 30 minutes in Sunday's 89-55 exhibition victory over IUP.
ANALYSIS
It's no surprise given Pack's previous stellar season at Kansas State, but he appears to have locked down a starting spot that includes the green light to shoot. He attempted the second-most field goals out of all Miami players, and even if it wasn't the most efficient shooting night, that expects to improve after he shot 43.6 percent from distance last year with the Wildcats. Pack does have to share a backcourt with another high-volume scorer in Isaiah Wong, but there should be more than enough room for both to feast, especially on lesser opponents (which was the case Sunday).
May 24, 2022
Withdrawing from draft
Pack will withdraw from the NBA Draft and play for Miami next season, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Pack announced about a month ago that he would transfer to Miami should he return to school. After getting feedback from NBA scouts, Pack is ready to help the Hurricanes make another run again in 2022-23. The Kansas State transfer put up 17.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.3 three-pointers per contest a season ago.
Apr 23, 2022
Moving on to Miami
Pack will transfer to Miami, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Pack was one of the top players available in the transfer portal, and he has decided to continue his collegiate career with the Hurricanes. Having averaged 17.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 3.3 triples last season, he figures to make an instant impact for his new school.
Mar 31, 2022
Hits transfer portal
Pack has decided to enter the transfer portal, Jeff Borzello of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pack has also declared for the 2022 NBA Draft, so either path he chooses presumably leads away from Manhattan next season. As a sophomore, Pack took his game to a new level, recording 17.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 43.6 percent from beyond the arc and 45.5 percent from the field. If he stays among the college ranks, Pack figures to be highly sought after in the portal.
Mar 22, 2022
Enters name in NBA Draft
Pack announced his decision to enter his name into the NBA Draft, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.
ANALYSIS
After a breakout Sophomore season, Pack announced that he will test the NBA Draft waters. Pack was voted the Most Improved Player in the Big 12 after averaging 17.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals in 33.0 minutes per game this season. The sophomore guard has two years of eligibility remaining if he chooses to return to the program.
Mar 7, 2022
Big 12's Most Improved
Pack was voted the Most Improved Player in the Big 12.
ANALYSIS
Pack had a really quality freshman campaign a year ago, but turned it up to another level this season. He ended the regular season averaging 17.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.4 steals per contest. Pack also led the conference in three-pointers with 3.3 per game. Kansas State has faded a bit away from the bubble down the stretch due to some injuries, but Pack has the firepower to lead his team to a couple wins in the Big 12 Tournament and make the committee's job a little tougher.
Feb 28, 2022
Racks up 32 in defeat
Pack contributed 32 points (11-15 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, one assist and two steals across 39 minutes during Saturday's 74-73 loss to Iowa State.
ANALYSIS
Pack had reportedly been dealing with a thigh bruise before the game, but that hardly appeared to have any effect as the sophomore guard put up his second-best scoring total of the season. It was unfortunately not enough to stave off the home defeat, leaving Pack and the Wildcats riding a three-game losing streak and well outside the tournament bubble.
Feb 25, 2022
Good to go Saturday
Pack is dealing with a bruised thigh but will be available to play Saturday against Iowa State, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.
ANALYSIS
Pack presumably picked up the injury during Tuesday's loss to Kansas, when he had 13 points (5-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 29 minutes. He's scored in double figures for 18 straight games and has averaged 17.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals this season.
Feb 23, 2022
13 points in lopsided loss
Pack provided 13 points (5-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and one steal across 29 minutes during Tuesday's 102-83 loss to Kansas.
ANALYSIS
Pack fell a few points short of his season average in this blowout loss to Kansas on Tuesday. The Wildcats' guards of Pack, Markquis Nowell, Mike McGuirl, and Mark Smith continue to be some of the most productive in the conference from a fantasy perspective. Pack will hope to lead Kansas State to a bounce back win on Saturday against Iowa State.
Feb 21, 2022
16 points in OT loss
Pack closed with 16 points (4-16 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and three steals over 42 minutes during Saturday's 82-79 1OT loss to Oklahoma State.
ANALYSIS
Pack didn't have his best shooting night, but he still tied for the team lead in scoring in a close OT loss. Over his last seven games, the sophomore is putting up 19.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.6 three-pointers, 3.3 assists, and 2.1 steals per contest. Pack will look for a repeat of the performance he put up in the first matchup against Kansas this season when he scored a career-high 35 points. The Wildcats travel to Lawrence on Tuesday night.
Feb 15, 2022
13 points in win over WVU
Pack notched 13 points (4-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal in 36 minutes during Monday's 78-73 win over West Virginia.
ANALYSIS
Pack certainly did not have his best shooting game, but was still able to contribute in other areas. Over the last eight games, Pack is now putting up 21.4 points, 4.0 three-pointers, 3.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.0 steals per contest. Pack and the rest of the Wildcats will look to pick up a win on Saturday against Oklahoma State. He put up 22 points in the first meeting on Feb. 2.
Feb 10, 2022
Goes for 31 in loss to Baylor
Pack totaled 31 points (10-19 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 7-10 FT), three rebounds, two assists and three steals in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 75-60 loss to Baylor.
ANALYSIS
Pack accounted for over half of his team's points in the loss to Baylor. Pack has solidified himself as one of the best scorers in the Big 12 and presents problems for any team trying to pick up a win against the Wildcats. Over the last six games, the sophomore is putting up 23.2 points, 4.5 three-pointers, 3.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.3 steals per contest.
Feb 7, 2022
Game-high 20 points in win
Pack closed Saturday's 75-63 victory over TCU with 20 points (7-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists and four steals in 37 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Pack led all scorers in the contest. The sophomore is only getting better as the season goes on. Over the last five games he is putting up 21.6 points, 4.6 three-pointers, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.2 steals per contest. He will have a chance to help the Wildcats take down a strong Baylor backcourt on Wednesday.
Jan 31, 2022
Drains six treys in losing effort
Pack closed with 18 points (6-17 FG, 6-13 3Pt), two rebounds and seven assists in 36 minutes during Saturday's 67-56 loss to Ole Miss.
ANALYSIS
This was the fourth time this season that Pack has drained at least five three-pointers in a game. Coach Bruce Weber has given the sophomore the green light to launch whenever he feels like it. Over the last eight games, Pack is putting up 18.4 points, 3.9 three-pointers, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per contest. He will look to keep firing on Wednesday against Oklahoma State.
Jan 24, 2022
Goes off for 35 points against KU
Pack totaled 35 points (12-18 FG, 8-12 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, two assists and three steals in 36 minutes during Saturday's 78-75 loss to Kansas.
ANALYSIS
Pack came out firing early for the Wildcats. He was red hot from behind the arc and helped Kansas State take a 17-point lead over the Jayhawks. Unfortunately, his team was unable to hold on and Pack's potential game-winning three-point attempt came up short. Pack will look to come out firing again on Tuesday at Baylor.
Jan 19, 2022
Scores 16 to help beat Texas
Pack contributed 16 points (7-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), one rebound and two assists in 35 minutes during Tuesday's 66-65 win over Texas.
ANALYSIS
Pack has now scored in double figures in all but one game that he has played in this season. The rising sophomore is averaging 16.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.0 three-pointers, and 2.0 assists over the last eight contests. Pack will need a big game if he wants to knock off in-state Rival Kansas in Manhattan on Saturday.
Jan 17, 2022
Team-high 14 points in win
Pack contributed 14 points (5-14 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds and one assist in 35 minutes during Saturday's 62-51 victory over Texas Tech.
ANALYSIS
It was a balanced attack for the Wildcats as they got into the win column in the Big 12 on Saturday. Pack didn't have his best shooting game, but still led all scorers on the Wildcats. Over the last seven games he is putting up 16.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.1 three-pointers per contest. They will face Texas on Tuesday.
Jan 10, 2022
Leads way for KSU in loss
Pack closed Saturday's 71-68 loss to West Virginia with 20 points (7-18 FG, 6-15 3Pt), five rebounds and one steal over 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Pack has been fantastic since a brief two-game absence and return to the starting lineup. Over the last five games he is putting up 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.6 three-pointers, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per contest. There's no reason why the rising sophomore will slow down anytime soon.
Dec 23, 2021
Puts up 18 points in victory
Pack logged 18 points (7-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt), five rebounds and one assist over 31 minutes during Tuesday's 74-59 win over McNeese State.
ANALYSIS
Pack and Markquis Nowell combined for 36 points in this contest. Pack came into the season as the primary point guard, but Nowell has seized a lot of the ball distribution duties which should allow Pack to focus on scoring going into Big 12 play. The sophomore is averaging 14.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.8 three-pointers, and 2.4 assists per contest.
Dec 20, 2021
Leads team in scoring in return to starting five
Pack notched 15 points (5-13 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and two steals in 33 minutes during Sunday's 67-58 victory over Nebraska.
ANALYSIS
Pack did not start in his return last week from a concussion. He was inserted back into the starting five on Sunday and led his team in scoring. It wasn't his best shooting performance, but it's clear the Wildcats will lean on him going forward this season. McNeese State on Tuesday will be next.
Dec 19, 2021
Back in starting five
Pack is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Nebraska.
ANALYSIS
Pack came off the bench last Sunday in his first game back from a concussion. The 6-0 sophomore had to sit out two games due to the injury and was on a restriction his last time on the floor. Pack shouldn't have any more restrictions moving forward. He was averaging 15.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals in 27.8 minutes per contest before the concussion.
Dec 12, 2021
Scores six off bench
Pack (concussion) logged six points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal over 15 minutes during Sunday's 82-64 win over Green Bay.
ANALYSIS
Pack took on a bench role Sunday following his two-game absence due to a concussion, and his performance against Green Bay marked the first time this season that he didn't score in double figures. It was encouraging to see the sophomore back on the court Sunday, and he'll likely regain more playing time as his conditioning improves.
Dec 12, 2021
Not starting Sunday
Pack is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Green Bay.
ANALYSIS
Pack was seen warming up and was expected to play but be limited in his return from a two-game absence due to a concussion. It'll be worth seeing how much head coach Bruce Weber ends up playing him and if he'll end up returning to the starting lineup next Sunday when the team travels to face Nebraska.
Dec 12, 2021
Warming up early
Pack (concussion) is on the floor warming up ahead of Sunday's game against Green Bay, Derek Young of Rivals.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pack is expected to return Sunday but be limited after missing the last two games due to a concussion. The 6-0 sophomore has been a vital player for the Wildcats this year, averaging 15.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals in 27.8 minutes per game. Even if limited, Pack's anticipated return to the floor should significantly help the team's offensive production.
Dec 10, 2021
Expected to be limited Sunday
Coach Bruce Weber said Friday that he expects Pack (concussion) to play limited minutes against Green Bay on Sunday, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.
ANALYSIS
The sophomore guard has missed two consecutive games due to a concussion, but he is expected to return to action Sunday. Pack is averaging 15.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals in 27.8 minutes, so his presence -- even in a limited capacity -- will be a huge boost for Kansas State.
Dec 8, 2021
Out Wednesday
Pack (concussion) won't be available Wednesday against Marquette, Drew Galloway reports.
ANALYSIS
Pack has had a strong season so far as he's averaging 15.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals in 27.8 minutes. The sophomore guard will miss his second consecutive game. Expect Mike McGuirl to start in Pack's place once again. Pack's next chance to return will be Sunday against Wisconsin - Green Bay.
Dec 7, 2021
Remains in concussion protocol
Coach Bruce Weber indicated Tuesday that Pack remains in concussion protocol and "everything has to go right "for him to suit up against Marquette on Wednesday, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.
ANALYSIS
It sounds as though Pack's status for Wednesday's contest is trending more doubtful than probable, but he hasn't been ruled out completely at this point. We should get a final word on his availability when the team takes the floor for pregame warmups, if not before then.
Dec 5, 2021
Chance to play Wednesday
Pack (concussion) has a chance to play Wednesday against Marquette, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.
ANALYSIS
The sophomore guard missed his first game of the season on Sunday due to a concussion and has a chance to return to Kansas State's lineup for their contest on Wednesday. If Pack can't suit up, Markquis Nowell emerges as the lead candidate to draw the start in his absence once again
Dec 5, 2021
Won't play Sunday
Pack (undisclosed) won't play Sunday against Wichita State, Taylor Eldridge of The Wichita Eagle reports.
ANALYSIS
Pack is averaging 15.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals across 27.8 minutes per game, so his absence will be a huge blow for Kansas State. In Pack's absence, Mike McGuirl will likely see increased playing time.
Dec 2, 2021
Game-high 17 points in rout
Pack totaled 17 points (6-11 FG, 5-8 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists and one steal in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 71-43 win over Albany.
ANALYSIS
Pack has now scored at least 14 points in all six games this season. He singlehandedly has Kansas State looking like a team that could surprise people in the Big 12. Pack is putting up 15.8 points, 3.0 three-pointers, 2.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game this season. Kansas State is set to do battle with in-state rival Wichita State on Sunday.
Nov 13, 2021
Leads way for Wildcats with 18 points
Pack supplied 18 points (6-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals over 31 minutes during Wednesday's 67-57 win over Florida A&M.
ANALYSIS
Pack came on the second half of his freshman campaign last year and looks to have carried that into this season. He and Davion Bradford are the two young bright spots for Kansas State and could turn into extremely productive players starting in 2021-22. The Wildcats will face Omaha next Wednesday.
Mar 7, 2021
Shooting woes continue Saturday
Pack returned to the starting lineup Saturday against Iowa State and had 10 points (4-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt), two assists, two rebounds and a steal in 36 minutes as the Wildcats grinded out a 61-56 win.
ANALYSIS
Pack was unavailable for the team's last game against West Virginia on Feb. 27 due to an eye infection but returned to his usual starting role Saturday. The 6-0 freshman has struggled mightily with his shot lately as he's shooting just 26.9 percent from the floor over his last five games and will need to turn that around quickly if the Wildcats want to get past the opening round of the Big 12 Tournament.
Mar 6, 2021
Back in starting five
Pack is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Iowa State.

Pack was forced to miss the last game due to an eye infection but will return to his usual starting role after a one-game absence. The 6-0 freshman averages 12.1 points, 3.9 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 33.5 minutes per game as the Wildcats will get one of their best playmakers back with him in the lineup.

Team-high 22 points in narrow loss
Pack notched a team-high 22 points (7-14 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-7 FT) and added five rebounds and two assists in the loss to Texas on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Pack has been one of the few bright spots this season for the Wildcats. Since returning from a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, Pack is averaging 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.6 three-pointers, and 3.4 assists over these past five games. He should continue to have the green light going forward the rest of the season. Kansas State will face Oklahoma State on Saturday next.

Productive in return
Pack had 11 points (3-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and five assists across 32 minutes in Wednesday's 107-69 loss to Baylor.
ANALYSIS
Pack returned from a four-game absence and was the leading scorer for a Kansas State team that was ultimately embarrassed for one of the worst losses in program history. While things won't be looking up for the 5-12 Wildcats any time soon, Pack had the best offensive rating among all starters Wednesday while also attempting the most field goals -- a good sign for his fantasy prospects.

Expected back Wednesday
Pack (not injury related) did not play Saturday against West Virginia but is expected to rejoin the lineup for Wednesday's clash against Baylor, Kellis Robinett of The Wichita Eagle reports.
ANALYSIS
Pack has missed four straight games since being sidelined by COVID-19 earlier this month but is expected to be back for Wednesday's tilt against No. 2 Baylor. The 6-0 freshman was in uniform for Saturday's action and even warmed up with the team but ultimately was not physically ready to return. Pack will have a few more days to practice as he gears up for an unwelcoming return against Baylor's top-ranked defense. He's averaging 10.7 points, 3.6 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 32.2 minutes per game and desperately will need to bring some life to K-State's offense as they haven't scored over in 70 points since he's been out.

In uniform but may not play
Pack is in uniform for Saturday's game against West Virginia but may not play, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.
ANALYSIS
A report from earlier suggested Pack would be back in action Saturday, but Robinett seems to be singing a different tune. Based on the conflicting reports, it may be best to consider him questionable to take part in the action versus the Mountaineers.

Appears ready to return
Pack (not injury related) is apparently set to return for Saturday's clash against West Virginia, Riley Gates of 247sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pack has missed the Wildcats' last three games with what is believed to have been a positive COVID-19 test. His return is a bit shocking as head coach Bruce Weber said Tuesday that Pack would be out for at least another week. Regardless, his return gives Kansas State a much-needed spark as he's averaged 10.7 points and leads the team with 3.6 assists per game. Pack has started all 12 games he's played in although it's unclear if Weber will re-incorporate him into the lineup right away.

Slated to miss multiple games
Pack complained of COVID-19 symptoms Thursday and is expected to miss multiple games, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.
ANALYSIS
Pack hasn't necessarily tested positive for COVID-19, but he'll be sidelined in order to prevent potential spread. Seryee Lewis will also miss several games due to contact tracing since the two players are roommates. Rueadale Williams is starting in Pack's place Saturday and should continue to do so while Pack is sidelined.

Ruled out Saturday
Pack (undisclosed) won't play Saturday against Oklahoma State, Derek Young of Rivals.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pack had started each of the first 12 games of his freshman season, but he'll be unavailable Saturday for an unspecified reason. Rueadale Williams should see increased playing time in his absence. It's not yet clear whether Pack will be able to return Wednesday against Iowa State.
