Hemby logged over 100 rushing yards for the first time since Week 2, as he and the Terrapins blew past the Terrapins to take an early 28-3 lead in the second quarter. Hemby contributed to this quick-strike scoring with a 17-yard touchdown reception just before the end of the first quarter. This also marked Hemby's third touchdown in the past five games, as he totaled 19 receptions (on 24 targets) for 108 yards over this span. The redshirt sophomore finishes the 2023 regular season with 135 carries for 663 yards and four touchdowns as well as 37 catches (on 48 targets) for 288 yards and three scores through the air. He'll look to add to these totals during the Terrapins' upcoming bowl appearance.

Hemby notched 11 carries for 35 yards and gathered in all three targets for 28 yards during Saturday's 31-24 loss against Michigan.

Hemby faced an uphill battle against Michigan's mauling defensive front in this near-comeback win for the Terrapins. The redshirt sophomore running back got involved early and often in both the rushing and receiving games; but, his usage tapered off after Maryland fell down 16-3 in the second quarter. Hemby's had a tough go of it recently with three consecutive games against above-average defenses in Penn State, Nebraska and Michigan. Hemby will look to turn things back around in the regular-season finale versus Rutgers.

Hemby totaled 16 carries for 74 yards and reeled in three of five targets for 15 yards during Saturday's 13-10 win against Nebraska.

Hemby got back on track after back-to-back down outings versus Northwestern and Penn State over the previous two weeks. The redshirt sophomore totaled just 17 touches over these down performances, so it's encouraging to see him get more involved since the Terps weren't forced to play from behind against the turnover-prone Cornhuskers. Hemby has now averaged 4.7 yards per carry on 109 rushes to go along with 8.5 yards per reception across 29 catches this season. It's possible his workload could get lost in the shuffle again with the Terrapins squaring off against an all-around dominant Michigan squad Week 12.

Hemby tallied five carries for zero yards and gathered in two of three targets for 10 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 51-15 defeat to Penn State.

Penn State completely took Maryland's rushing attack out of the game, as the Terps ultimately netted negative-49 yards across 16 carries -- eight of which were sacks/rushing attempts by quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa. As a result, Hemby was limited to his worst rushing performance of the season. However, he did log a receiving touchdown for the second game in a row, as he's now tallied nine rushes for 27 yards to glo along with eight receptions (on 11 targets) for 51 yards over this span. The redshirt sophomore will have a chance to bounce back this coming Saturday against Nebraska.

Hemby posted four carries for 27 yards along with six catches (on eight targets) for 41 yards during Saturday's 33-27 loss to Northwestern.

Hemby logged a season low in rushing attempts as the Terrapins offense played catchup for much of the second half. The redshirt sophomore saw the vast majority of the team's carries last season with 188 over 13 games; but, he's only logged 88 through eight games so far this season, as fellow running backs Antwain Littleton and Colby McDonald have both seen more usage in the running game. He's also yet to score a touchdown in Big Ten play this season. Nevertheless, Hemby has seen slightly more usage a receiver, catching all 24 of his targets for 221 yards so far in 2023. This offensive versatility should buoy his production over the last four games of the regular season.

Hemby tallied 12 rushes for 70 yards and gathered in all five targets for 63 yards during Saturday's 27-24 loss to Illinois.

Hemby continued to serve as the do-it-all running back for Maryland, logging team highs in rushing while also finishing with the team's second-most receiving yards behind wideout Kaden Prather (70). The 6-foot-2 running back is not on pace to matchup his production from last season, as fellow redshirt sophomore Antwain Littleton has eaten into his carries more this season. Yet, Hemby still leads the team with 84 rushing attempts for 414 yards through seven games, and he's also accumulated 18 receptions (on 24 targets) for 180 yards. Hemby should have a chance to log another explosive outing Week 8 versus Northwestern.

Hemby accrued eight rushes for 35 yards and reeled in one of three targets for zero yards during Saturday's 37-17 defeat against Ohio State.

Hemby logged fewer than 10 touches for the first time this season, as Maryland's offense struggled to establish much consistency after scoring an opening-drive touchdown. The 6-foot-2 redshirt junior logged fewer carries than 232-pounder Antwain Littleton (11 carries, 38 yards), as the former may have been favored for his more bruising style in this matchup against Ohio State's impressive defensive front. Hemby still leads the Terps in rushing attempts (72) and yards (344) while adding another 117 yards on 13 receptions through six games. Hemby's typical workload should net him solid production against Illinois less-than-stellar defense Week 7.

Hemby had 14 rushes for 54 yards and reeled in all two targets for 19 yards during Saturday's 44-17 victory versus Indiana.

Hemby returned to a role as Maryland's true RB1, as he accounted for all but nine of the team's 23 total carries in this blowout win. The Terps mainly chose to air it out with third-year starting quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa, who went 24-for-34 passing for 352 yards and five touchdowns to go along with an extra 19-yard rushing score. Maryland's efficiency through the air clearly negated Hemby's opportunities for rushing scores, but his significant involvement in the offense is still extremely encouraging -- especially considering how prolific this unit has been through five games (38.6 ppg, 454.8 ypg).

Hemby logged 10 carries for 12 yards and gathered in one of four targets for four yards during Saturday's 31-9 win against Michigan State.

Hemby tallied a team-high in carries, though he ultimately finished third on the team in rushing yards behind Antwain Littleton (33) and Colby McDonald (38). Hemby has been one of the Terrapins' top offensive playmakers since last season and he is still the be the team's first rushing option. However, his overall workload seems like it could be limited by Maryland's by-committee approach in blowouts like this.

Hemby recorded nine carries for 23 yards and two touchdowns during Friday's 42-14 victory against Virginia. He also hauled in all three targets for 25 yards.

Hemby saw a sharp cut in his carries Friday, as he split carries with Antwain Littleton (nine) throughout the first half. Third-string running back Colby McDonald then saw his fair share of rushing attempts (10) after Maryland went up 21-14 in the second half. However, Hemby still found paydirt when needed, rushing for two three-yard scores in the second and fourth quarters. Hemby's all-around usage indicates that he's still the primary running back in this offense, which should net him a healthy number of pass-catching and scoring opportunities moving forward.

Hemby compiled 19 rushes for 162 yards and one touchdown and caught all four targets for 55 yards during Saturday's 38-20 victory versus Charlotte.

Hemby accumulated over 200 total yards in a game for the first time since Week 3 against SMU last season. The redshirt sophomore broke out as an all-purpose playmaker for the Terps last year, totaling 1,287 yards and 11 touchdowns on 221 touches across 13 games. Hemby is well on his way to putting up another 1,000-yard campaign in 2023, making him one of the Big Ten's most notable fantasy players this season.

Hemby notched 12 carries for 58 yards and one touchdown and reeled in all two targets for 14 yards during Saturday's 38-6 victory against Towson.

Hemby ascended into a starting role down the stretch of last season, and he maintained this primary role to begin the 2023 campaign. The redshirt sophomore led the Terrapins' rushing attack ahead of Antwain Littleton (10 carries, 37 yards). Hemby's role as both a rusher and receiver for Maryland makes him one of the Big Ten's best fantasy options at running back -- especially in PPR formats.

Hemby compiled 24 carries for 65 yards and hauled in two of four targets for 22 yards during Friday's 16-12 win over North Carolina State.

Hemby matched his season high in both carries and touches previously set in the 31-24 win over Northwestern in Week 8. The redshirt freshman running back logged just one rush of more than 10 yards with an 11-yard carry in the second quarter, as he was almost entirely bottled up by a Wolfpack front seven that ranked 16th in yards per carry allowed (3.36) coming into this game. Hemby still finished the 2022 season with 118 more carries than the next closest Terrapins running back Antwain Littleton, and he was just 11 yards shy of his first 1,000-yard rushing season. Hemby also accumulated 1,287 total yards and 11 total touchdowns on 221 touches this season. He should continue to serve a primary role in the backfield alongside quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa, who is expected to return to Maryland for the 2023 season.

Hemby tallied 13 rushes for 68 yards and reeled in their only target for zero yards during Saturday's 30-0 defeat versus Penn State.

Hemby once again paced the Terrapins' running-back-by-committee backfield in carries and rushing yards against Penn State's stout defense. The redshirt freshman accounted for nearly half of his team's offensive production, as the Terrapins were held to just 134 total yards in this shoutout loss. Maryland should continue to rely on Hemby this coming Saturday against Ohio State.

Hemby tallied 16 carries for 66 yards during Saturday's 23-10 defeat to Wisconsin.

Hemby averaged just over 4.1 rushing yards per attempt with Maryland's entire offense stifled by the Badgers. The redshirt freshman also failed to haul in a pass for just the second time this season, as quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa completed just 10 of his 23 attempts for 77 yards during Saturday's intense winds and rains. Hemby has been rather boom or bust this season, averaging 3.2 yards on 32 carries through the Terrapins' first three Big Ten games before totaling 286 yards and four touchdowns on 41 combined attempts against Indiana and Northwestern. The 6-foot back will be in line for another difficult matchup this coming Saturday against Penn State.

Hemby accrued 24 rushes for 179 yards and three touchdowns and reeled in all two targets for 14 yards during Saturday's 31-24 victory against Northwestern.

Hemby recorded season highs in carries and rushing yards as fellow back Antwain Littleton (knee) and quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa (knee) sat out Saturday. The leading rusher also notched a career high in touchdowns, including a 75-yard rushing touchdown late in the fourth quarter, and he has now found the end zone five times in the last three games. Hemby should continue to form an intriguing rushing duo with backup signal-caller Billy Edwards (16 carries, 66 rushing yards) so long as Littleton and Tagovailoa remain sidelined; however, Maryland's next game won't come until a Saturday, Nov. 5 contest at Wisconsin.

Hemby posted 17 carries for 107 yards and one touchdown and reeled in all four targets for 25 yards during Saturday's 38-33 win over Indiana.

Hemby accounted for over 60 percent of the Terrapins' total rushing yards and just under half of the team's 40 total rushing attempts Saturday. The redshirt freshman also notched a team-long 46-yard carry against the Hoosiers, pushing him over 100 yards rushing for the third time this season. Hemby has also rushed over 15 times in three games while operating in Maryland's running-back-by-committee approach this season, and; however, he's also caught at least four passes in all but two of seven games this season. The 6-foot, 200-pound back would likely see increased touches if starting quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa is sidelined moving forward after being carted off with a lower leg injury in the fourth quarter.

Hemby rushed seven times for 26 yards and caught all five of his targets for 63 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 31-29 loss to Purdue.

Hemby paced the Terrapins in both rushing attempts and receptions during Saturday's loss, averaging 7.4 yards per touch against the Boilermakers defense. The redshirt freshman also recorded his first receiving touchdown of the season with an 11-yard reception from quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa (26-of-38 passing, 315 yards, 3:1 TD:INT) midway through the fourth quarter. Through six games, Hemby leads Maryland in rushes (64) and rushing yards (395), though his involvement in the receiving game (20 receptions, 200 yards) will help buoy his overall value against fellow running back Antwain Littleton.

Hemby recorded 48 yards on 16 carries while adding three receptions (four targets) for 17 yards during Saturday's 34-27 loss to Michigan.

Hemby registered a season-low 3.0 yards per carry while running against the Terrapins' toughest opponent of the season thus far. The redshirt sophomore's longest play from scrimmage actually came on a 15-yard reception from quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa (ribs) during the third quarter of Saturday's competitive loss. Hemby also led Maryland's running back corps in carries for the second straight week, though he'll continue to face stingy rush defenses over the remainder of the team's conference schedule.

Hemby recorded 151 rushing yards and one touchdown on 16 carries while hauling in all four of his targets for 62 yards during Saturday's 34-27 win against SMU.

Hemby accounted for all but 74 of the Terrapins' 225 total rushing yards against the Mustangs, including a game-long 50-yard run on the team's first play from scrimmage, while quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa totaled 51 yards on the ground as well. The redshirt freshman running back also connected on all four of his targets from Tagovailoa for an additional 62 yards through the air, thus finishing as Maryland's second-leading receiver behind wideout Rakim Jarrett (two receptions, three targets, 65 yards, one touchdown) on Saturday. Hemby currently sits as his team's No. 1 rusher through the first three weeks of 2022 (32 carries, 294 yards, three touchdowns), and he should continue to hold onto this top spot so long as running back Challen Faamatau (undisclosed) remains sidelined this season.

Hemby recorded seven rushes for 114 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 31-0 victory over Buffalo on Saturday.

Hemby made the most of his limited touches Saturday, scoring on rushes of 33 yards and 70 yards in the first and third quarters, respectively. The redshirt freshman's workload came in a running-back-by-committee approach primarily split with Antwain Littleton (six carries, 34 yards, two touchdowns) against the Bulls. With the availability of senior Challen Faamatau (undisclosed) still up in the air after he missed Saturday's season-opener, Hemby should continue to see limited opportunities in the Terrapins' pass-happy offense.

Hemby will serve as Maryland's RB1 in their season-opener against Buffalo this Saturday, Emily Giambalvo of The Washington Post reports.

Hemby has earned the first shot at leading the backfield for the Terrapins in 2022. The redshirt freshman appeared in three games last season, logging 71 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. Hemby will look to solidify his top spot in the backfield with a solid start this Saturday.

Hemby rushed the ball 12 times for 45 yards and one touchdown in the 62-0 win over Howard on Saturday.

The 4th-string running back ended up leading the team in carries, but don't expect this to become a regular thing as he only got in the game due to it being a blowout.
