McGuire got to Geno Smith twice during Sunday's win, with the former splitting sacks with Mike Hall and Cameron Thomas in the third and fourth quarter, respectively. McGuire's seven stops were a season high, and the third-year defensive end is up to 28 tackles (17 solo), including 2.0 sacks, and one forced fumble through 11 regular-season games.

Steps up in Year 2
McGuire racked up 36 tackles (18 solo), including 2.5 sacks, plus three forced fumbles across 16 regular-season appearances with the Browns in 2024.
ANALYSIS
McGuire ramped up his involvement on defense Year 2, managing to close out the year as a clear starter. The 2023 fourth-round pick suited up for just four games as a rookie, but he's now demonstrated a legitimate ability to contribute on defense. He'll spend the offseason looking to further his development in Cleveland's scheme.

McGuire will be given chances on the second team defense after injuries to defensive end Alex Wright (knee) and Isaiah Thomas (knee), Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
McGuire, a rookie drafted in the fourth round, lined up with the twos Monday, as did Sam Kamara. The Browns feel good about the top three ends -- Myles Garrett, Za'Darius Smith and Ogbonnia Okoronkwo -- but new defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz planned to utilize a bunch of different pass rushers. Both Thomas and Wright are expected to miss extended time.

ANALYSIS
A Missouri product, McGuire gives Cleveland another edge rusher opposite Myles Garrett. McGuire has good length with 34-inch arms, and he lived in opposing backfields the last two years with 13.5 sacks and 27 tackles for loss in that span. Look for him to compete with Ogbonnia Okoronkwo at defensive end.
