Zamir White Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Raiders vs Eagles game on Sunday with our National Football League injury report.Dec 7, 2025
Won't play Week 14
White (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
White has not appeared in a regular-season game for the Raiders since Week 5 against the Colts. Raheem Mostert and Dylan Laube will provide backfield depth behind Ashton Jeanty for Sunday's AFC West clash.
Dec 3, 2025
Shakes off illness
White (illness) wasn't listed on Wednesday's injury report, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
White is no longer battling the illness that kept him out of the Week 13 loss to the Chargers. That doesn't mean he'll return to the lineup in Week 14 versus the Broncos, as White was a healthy scratch in the previous seven games.
Nov 30, 2025
Inactive for Week 13
White (illness) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
White appeared to fall under the weather Friday, and the illness is severe enough for the fourth-year pro to miss Sunday's AFC West tilt. Raheem Mostert and Dylan Laube will provide backfield depth for the Raiders behind rookie Ashton Jeanty in White's absence.
Nov 28, 2025
Questionable with illness
White (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
White was unable to practice Friday due to an illness he seemingly just acquired. Even if the running back can shake the illness, he will likely be a healthy inactive for the seventh consecutive game behind Ashton Jeanty, Raheem Mostert, and Dylan Laube.
Nov 23, 2025
Inactive again
White (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Browns.
ANALYSIS
White will be a healthy scratch for the sixth consecutive game. Ashton Jeanty, Raheem Mostert and Dylan Laube are ahead of him on the depth chart. White has just 10 carries for 25 yards and no touchdowns in 2025.
Nov 17, 2025
Won't play Week 11
White (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday's game against Dallas.
ANALYSIS
White will be a healthy scratch for a fifth consecutive game as the Raiders roll with a three-man backfield of Ashton Jeanty, Raheem Mostert and Dylan Laube for Week 11. White's next opportunity to play is Sunday against the Browns, though he's unlikely to be active for that contest unless Jeanty, Mostert or Laube were to miss time.
Nov 6, 2025
Healthy scratch again Thursday
White (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's Week 10 battle against the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
White is inactive for the Raiders' fourth straight game, as he appears to have lost any sort of gameday role. Las Vegas is rolling with Ashton Jeanty, Raheem Mostert and Dylan Laube in their backfield Thursday. White hasn't logged an offensive snap since Week 3 against Washington.
Nov 2, 2025
Inactive against Jaxsonville
White (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
With Ashton Jeanty dominating the Raiders' backfield, and Raheem Mostert and Dylan Laube as the reserve backs, White is once again the odd man out on the depth chart. Coming off zero offensive snaps in Week 5, as well as absences in both Week 6 and Week 7, White seems to be destined to ride the inactive list barring injuries to the starting backs.
Oct 12, 2025
Inactive Sunday
White is inactive for Sunday's game against the Titans.
ANALYSIS
White is thus the odd man out in the Raiders' Week 6 backfield, so Ashton Jeanty, Raheem Mostert and Dylan Laube are slated to handle the team's RB duties versus Tennessee. With 10 carries for 25 yards and three catches for 19 yards in four games thus far, White is off the fantasy lineup radar.
Oct 7, 2025
Zero offensive snaps against Colts
White did not play a single offensive snap in Sunday's 40-6 loss to the Colts.
ANALYSIS
White was not involved in the Raiders' offensive plans Sunday, as the veteran running back played exclusively on special teams in the contest. Meanwhile, Raheem Mostert operated as Ashton Jeanty's backup and Dylan Laube played exclusively on special teams. White's diminished role have taken him off the fantasy radar moving forward. The Raiders host the Titans in Week 6.
Sep 28, 2025
Healthy scratch in Week 4
White (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bears.
ANALYSIS
White is relatively surprising healthy scratch Sunday, considering he's filled a complementary role in each of the first three games of the season and posted 13 total touches over that span. However, the fourth-year pro will don street clothes for the interconference clash, leaving Dylan Laube and veteran Raheem Mostert as Ashton Jeanty's backups versus Chicago.
Sep 23, 2025
Six touches in loss
White rushed five times for 19 yards and caught one of two targets for four yards in Sunday's 41-24 loss to the Commanders. He also returned one kickoff for 27 yards.
ANALYSIS
White logged 19 offensive snaps to Jeanty's 40 in the Raiders' Week 3 defeat, and the rookie out-carried White with 17 rushing attempts to five, though each running back averaged less than 4.0 yards per carry during a tough day on the ground. Once again, White figures to serve as Jeanty's primary backup Week 4 against the Bears, providing more contingent value than standalone.
Sep 17, 2025
Four touches in loss
White rushed twice for minus-2 yards and caught two of three targets for 15 yards in Monday's 20-9 loss to the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
White had a quiet day while continuing to operate as the Raiders' No. 2 running back behind rookie Ashton Jeanty. The veteran played just 21 of the Raiders 70 offensive snaps, giving him few opportunities to get much going in the contest. As long as Jeanty stays healthy, White appears to be nothing more than an insurance policy for fantasy managers invested in the rookie. White will have his next chance to get more involved when the Raiders visit the Commanders in Week 3.
Sep 9, 2025
No. 2 RB behind Jeanty
White rushed three times for eight yards and returned one kickoff for 31 yards in Sunday's 20-13 win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
White assumed the RB2 role behind rookie Ashton Jeanty when the Raiders surprisingly made 33-year-old veteran Raheem Mostert a healthy inactive Sunday, but the depth chart shift resulted in just nine offensive snaps and three touches for White. Meanwhile, Jeanty handled 19 carries and caught a pair of passes in his NFL debut. White figures to remain Jeanty's primary backup when Las Vegas hosts the Chargers on Monday Night Football in Week 2.
Aug 24, 2025
Impressive in preseason loss
White rushed nine times for 42 yards and brought in his only target for three yards in the Raiders' 20-10 preseason loss to the Cardinals on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
White co-led the Raiders in rush attempts with veteran Raheem Mostert, but it was the former that notably was in on the first possession alongside rookie first-round pick Ashton Jeanty. White had been having a very quiet preseason until Saturday night's productive showing, so it remains to be seen if the 2022 fourth-round pick will survive final roster cuts, and if so, whether he'll slot in ahead of Mostert on the depth chart behind Jeanty.
Apr 28, 2025
In mix behind star rookie
White is expected to compete for a depth role behind rookie sixth overall pick Ashton Jeanty, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Jeanty's expected to take on a workhorse role out of the gate, and free-agent signing Raheem Mostert is better suited to playing in pass catching situations than White, who has just 21 catches through three NFL seasons. White has presumably recovered from the quadriceps injury that sidelined him after Week 11 in 2024, but he's unlikely to meaningfully challenge Jeanty for early-down work considering White averaged just 2.8 yards per carry in 2024. Sincere McCormick (ankle), Dylan Laube and Chris Collier will also compete for roles in Vegas' backfield.
Dec 10, 2024
Placed on season-ending IR
The Raiders placed White on injured reserve Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
White's placement on IR rules him out for Las Vegas' final four games of the regular season, ending his 2024 campaign. The 2022 fourth-round pick had already missed the Raiders' last three games due to a quad injury. Despite entering the season with significant opportunity, White's Year 3 season resolves as one to forget. Across eight appearances, White rushed 65 times for just 183 yards (2.8 YPC) and one touchdown, while also securing six of eight targets for 30 yards. Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Sincere McCormick remain available atop Las Vegas' depth chart.
Dec 6, 2024
Won't return in Week 14
White (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest at Tampa Bay, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
White thus will miss a third game in a row due to a quad injury, while fellow RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 14 action. If Mattison gains active status Sunday, he would mix into the backfield along with Ameer Abdullah and Sincere McCormick. Meanwhile, White's next chance for game action is Monday, Dec. 16 against the Falcons.
Dec 5, 2024
Another missed practice
White (quadricep) remained sidelined at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Back-to-back 'DNPs' Wednesday and Thursday cloud White's status for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Friday's injury report will reveal whether the running back has any chance to play this weekend, but if he ends up missing a third straight game, added reps would continue to be available for Sincere McCormick in a Las Vegas backfield that also includes Ameer Abdullah and possibly Alexander Mattison (ankle), who has been limited at practice this week after missing two straight contests.
Dec 4, 2024
Still not practicing
White (quadriceps) didn't practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
White -- who last played in Week 11 -- didn't practice last week, so his continued absence Wednesday isn't a great sign regarding his status for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Meanwhile, fellow RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) -- who has also missed two straight games -- remained limited at practice. If White and/or Mattison remain out this weekend, Sincere McCormick (who has been signed to the active roster) should continue to see added opportunities in a Las Vegas backfield that also includes Ameer Abdullah.
Nov 28, 2024
Ruled out for Friday
White (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Meanwhile, the Raiders list Alexander Mattison (ankle) as questionable for the contest and have elevated RB Sincere McCormick from their practice squad ahead of Week 13 action to join a backfield that also includes Ameer Abdullah and Dylan Laube. White's next chance to see game action will occur Sunday, Dec. 8, when Las Vegas faces the Buccaneers.
Nov 27, 2024
Still not practicing
White (quadriceps) didn't practice Wednesday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
White, who was estimated as a non-participant in Tuesday's walk-through, thus has one more chance to practice ahead of Friday's game against the Chiefs. Meanwhile, fellow RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) was deemed limited both Tuesday and Wednesday, a context that gives him a better chance than White to return to action in Week 13.
Nov 26, 2024
Deemed DNP to open Week 13
White (quadriceps) was estimated as being a non-participant in practice Tuesday, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
White didn't practice at all last week and missed Sunday's contest against Denver, and his designation for Tuesday's walkthrough doesn't bode well for his ability to play on Black Friday against the Chiefs. However, his status bears watching to see if he can return to practice in some capacity before that game. Meanwhile, Alexander Mattison (ankle) -- who also was sidelined Sunday against the Broncos -- was estimated as a limited practice participant Tuesday, so he seems to have a better chance than White of suiting up Friday. If neither running back can return for Week 13, Ameer Abdullah figures to lead Las Vegas' backfield again.
Nov 24, 2024
Inactive Sunday
White (quadricep) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
With both White and Alexander Mattison (ankle) unavailable, Ameer Abdullah is next up at running back for the Raiders on Sunday, while Dylan Laube and practice-squad elevation Sincere McCormick are also on hand to mix in. The next chance for White and/or Mattison to return to the lineup occurs this coming Friday when the Raiders travel to Kansas City to face the Chiefs in a 3:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
Nov 22, 2024
Doubtful for Week 12
White (quadricep) will be listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The same goes for Alexander Mattison (ankle), which sets the stage for the Raiders to likely be without both players this weekend. If the duo is inactive versus Denver, Ameer Abdullah would be the expected starter at running back for Las Vegas, with Dylan Laube and Sincere McCormick also in the mix, per Vic Tafur of The Athletic.
Nov 21, 2024
Remains sidelined Thursday
White (quadricep) didn't practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
With White and Alexander Mattison (ankle) having missed practice both Wednesday and Thursday, the Raiders' backfield could be shorthanded Sunday against the Broncos. If neither of the two can play this weekend, Ameer Abdullah and Dylan Laube would be in line to see expanded roles in Week 12, while Sincere McCormick and/or Chris Collier would be potential practice squad elevations.
Nov 20, 2024
Not practicing Wednesday
White (quad) won't practice Wednesday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The same goes for Alexander Mattison (ankle), with the status of both backs worth tracking as Sunday's game against the Broncos approaches. For now, the healthiest running backs on the Raiders' active roster are Ameer Abdullah and Dylan Laube, with Chris Collier and Sincere McCormick candidates to be elevated from the team's practice squad in advance of Week 12 action.
Nov 17, 2024
Exits Sunday's game
White left Sunday's game against the Dolphins due to a quad injury.
ANALYSIS
With fellow RB Alexander Mattison having sustained an ankle injury Sunday, Ameer Abdullah is left to handle the Raiders' backfield duties versus Miami. Prior to his exit, White carried five times for nine yards.
Nov 3, 2024
Rushing TD on minimal volume
White rushed six times for 10 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' 41-24 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
White didn't see much of an uptick in volume despite head coach Antonio Pierce's recent remarks about getting him more involved, but he did make good on a red-zone opportunity to cap off the opening drive of the game with a one-yard touchdown run. As his final line implies, White did next to nothing the rest of the way, however, and he's now gone three straight games without double-digit carries. With backfield Alexander Mattison logging three more rush attempts Sunday, it appears White continues to play second fiddle in the ground attack heading into the Week 10 bye.
Nov 3, 2024
Cleared to play Week 9
White (quadricep) is active for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
White missed consecutive games in Weeks 5 and 6 due to a groin issue, but he had logged limited snaps in both of the past two contests behind lead back Alexander Mattison. Though he was nursing a new injury during Week 9 prep and had been listed as questionable heading into Sunday, White cleared up most of the concern about his health by turning in a full practice Friday. While Mattison is once again in line to serve as the Raiders' starting running back Sunday, head coach Antonio Pierce expressed a desire earlier in the week to get White more involved in the game plan. Even if White benefits from an uptick in snaps and touches in Week 9, however, he won't make for a dependable lineup option. White had previously worked ahead of Mattison in Weeks 1 through 4, but he didn't score any touchdowns and averaged just 3.1 yards per carry on 49 totes while catching just five passes during that stretch.
Nov 1, 2024
Questionable after full practice
White (quadricep) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals after being a full participant in practice Friday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
White's full participation Friday was encouraging after he logged a DNP on Thursday, but that wasn't enough to avoid an injury designation. If White's able to play Sunday, he will likely continue to cede most of the touches in Vegas' backfield to Alexander Mattison. White's averaging a disappointing 3.0 yards per carry.
Oct 31, 2024
Sidelined at practice Thursday
White (quad) didn't practice Thursday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After being a limited practice participant Wednesday, White downgraded to a 'DNP' one day later. It remains to be seen if that's related to a setback or if the Raiders are simply managing the running back's practice reps as Sunday's game against the Bengals approaches. Either way, Friday's injury report will reveal White's Week 9 game status. If available this weekend, the 2022 fourth-rounder would be in line to work in a complementary role behind starter Alexander Mattison.
Oct 30, 2024
Limited by quad injury
White (quadriceps) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
It doesn't seem to be a major injury, considering White managed a limited practice and coach Antonio Pierce mentioned wanting to get the RB more work moving forward. Pierce said Wednesday that Alexander Mattison remains the starter but could cede more work to White, who showed "some positives last year" and now has "got to get out of his funk," per Levi Edwards of the Raiders' official site. Realistically, both are better suited for backup roles, but it's possible the pendulum swings back to White at some point in the coming weeks.
Oct 30, 2024
May get more carries soon
Coach Antonio Pierce suggested Wednesday that he wants to give White more opportunities even though Alexander Mattison will remain the starting running back, Levi Edwards of the Raiders' official site reports. "Zamir, we saw some positives from him last year," Pierce said. "He's just got to get out of his funk."
ANALYSIS
Mattison has averaged just 2.7 YPC in his four-game stint as the starter, which includes two games White missed with a groin injury. White hasn't been any better this year, averaging 3.0 YPC, and he's taken just 13 snaps and six touches in two games since returning from the groin injury. It remains to be seen if he'll have a larger role this Sunday at Cincinnati.
Oct 20, 2024
Four touches in return
White (groin) rushed three times for 13 yards and caught his only target for 14 yards in Sunday's 20-15 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
White returned from a two-game absence but worked as a distant No. 2 behind Alexander Mattison, who turned 23 carries and three targets into 123 scrimmage yards. White's averaging just 3.2 yards per carry and has yet to score a touchdown this season, so it's possible he has been permanently demoted to a backup role. Barring a realignment in the backfield pecking order, White won't have much fantasy upside in Week 8 against a stingy Chiefs defense.
Oct 20, 2024
Active versus Rams
White (groin) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Rams.
ANALYSIS
After logging back-to-back limited practices, White -- who had missed the Raiders' last two contests -- upgraded to full participation Friday before being listed as questionable heading into the weekend. With his active status confirmed, White is poised to reclaim his role in a Las Vegas backfield that also includes Alexander Mattison (who started while White was out) as well as change-of-pace option Ameer Abdullah. In that context, White -- who has recorded 49 carries for 152 yards and caught five of his seven targets for 16 yards in four games thus far -- represents a lineup option for those in deeper formats or who are otherwise in need of Week 7 RB help.
Oct 18, 2024
Practices fully, listed as questionable
White (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams after practicing fully Friday.
ANALYSIS
Following back-to-back limited sessions, White -- who has missed the Raiders' last two games -- upgraded to full participation to close out the week, signalling that he's trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's 4:05 ET kickoff. If White is made active versus Los Angeles, he'll be in a position to reclaim a portion of his team's Week 7 carries in a backfield that also includes Alexander Mattison -- who started while White was sidelined -- and change-of-pace option Ameer Abdullah. In the four games he's played in, White has recorded 49 carries for 152 yards and caught five of his seven targets for 16 yards.
Oct 17, 2024
Stays limited in practice
White (groin) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stretching back to last week, White now has been listed as limited on three consecutive injury reports. He's aiming to put an end to a two-game absence due to a groin issue that first emerged at the start of Week 5 prep. Friday's report will give a sense of White's chances to return to action Sunday at the Rams. If White is inhibited or out for that contest, Alexander Mattison likely would serve as the Raiders' lead back, with Ameer Abdullah handling a change-of-pace role.
Oct 16, 2024
Logs limited practice Wednesday
White (groin) was limited at practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
White, who has missed two straight games, now has two more chances to upgrade his practice participation level ahead of Sunday's contest against the Rams. If he's able to return to action this weekend, he'll have an opportunity to reclaim his key role in the Raiders' backfield, though it's plausible that in such a scenario White and Alexander Mattison -- who has started in place of White during his absence -- could share carries in Week 7, with Ameer Abdullah available in a change-of-pace capacity.
Oct 16, 2024
Looks good at practice
White (groin) is practicing Wednesday, Levi Edwards of the Raiders' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
White is trending toward a return for Sunday's game at the Rams, after missing the past two weeks. He returned to practice Friday as a limited participant and now looks to be at running full speed during Wednesday's session. It's unclear if White will return to the lead role once he's healthy or come off the bench behind Alexander Mattison, but either way there hasn't been any sign of the Raiders using a workhorse rather than a committee in their backfield this season.
Oct 13, 2024
Inactive again in Week 6
White (groin) is listed as inactive Sunday versus the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
This marks White's second absence in a row due to a groin injury, but on a positive note he was able to practice in a limited capacity Friday for the first time since the issue appeared at the beginning of Week 5 prep. In White's stead, Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullah will handle backfield reps for the Raiders in roughly a 60/40 breakdown.
Oct 13, 2024
Deemed long shot to suit up Week 6
White (groin) isn't expected to play in Sunday's matchup against Pittsburgh, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
White is officially questionable for the contest and could still suit up, but the most likely scenario is that he sits out a second straight game. The 25-year-old did manage to return to practice in a limited fashion Friday, so if he misses Sunday's action as expected, he seems to be on a positive track to return Week 7 for a battle with the Rams. Alexander Mattison led Las Vegas' backfield in White's absence last week against Denver and will likely reprise that role Sunday if White does indeed sit out.
Oct 11, 2024
Questionable after return to practice
White (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers after returning to a limited practice Friday.
ANALYSIS
White, who missed last Sunday's loss to the Broncos, didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, but his limited session Friday could potentially open the door for him to return to action this weekend. If, however, White remains sidelined versus Pittsburgh for Las Vegas' 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff, Alexander Mattison would be in line to continue to work as the Raiders' lead back Week 6, with Ameer Abdullah available to handle a key change-of-pace role.
Oct 11, 2024
Set to practice Friday
Coach Antonio Pierce said White (groin) will return to practice Friday, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Assuming White mixes back into drills Friday, it'll mark his first on-field work since sustaining a groin injury at practice last Wednesday. His activity level thus will be of interest to see if he can avoid being ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Oct 10, 2024
Another missed practice
White (groin) remained sidelined at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
White, who missed this past Sunday's loss to the Broncos, has now logged back-to-back absences, clouding his status for Sunday's contest against the Steelers. If he remains out this weekend, Alexander Mattison would be in line to continue to work as the Raiders' lead back in Week 6, with Ameer Abdullah once again seeing an expanded change-of-pace role.
Oct 9, 2024
Misses Wednesday's practice
White (groin) didn't practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
White, who missed this past Sunday's game against the Broncos, now has two more chances to practice in advance of this weekend's game against the Steelers. If the running back is forced to miss his second straight contest, Alexander Mattisonand Ameer Abdullah would continue to pace the Raiders' backfield in Week 6.
Oct 4, 2024
Ruled out for Sunday
White (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
With White sidelined versus Denver, Alexander Mattison is slated to lead Las Vegas' Week 5 backfield, with Ameer Abdullah and Dylan Laube on hand to mix in. White now will turn his focus to a potential return to action Sunday, Oct. 13 versus the Steelers.
Oct 4, 2024
Week 5 status cloudy
Coach Antonio Pierce relayed Friday that White (groin) "more than likely" will be doubtful for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
White suffered a groin injury in practice Wednesday and is now trending toward an official 'doubtful' designation ahead of Week 5 action. In the event that White is unavailable versus Denver, Alexander Mattison would be in line to lead Las Vegas' backfield, with Ameer Abdullah and Dylan Laube on hand to mix in.
Oct 3, 2024
Missing for Thursday's practice
White (groin) isn't taking part in Thursday's practice, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Unless he fits in some work behind the scenes, White will take a step back in terms of activity after he was a limited participant in Wednesday's session due to the groin injury. The missed practice isn't an ideal development for White, whose starting job was already on notice after head coach Antonio Pierce said after Sunday's 20-16 win over the Browns that No. 2 back Alexander Mattison "deserved more reps," according to NFL.com. White leads the Raiders with 49 carries on the season, but he's averaging just 3.1 yards per tote.
Oct 2, 2024
Limited practice Wednesday
White (groin) was limited at practice Wednesday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It appears as though White sustained his injury during Wednesday's practice, so his status will be worth monitoring closely as Sunday's game against the Broncos approaches. If White is limited or out this weekend, added backfield opportunities will be available for Alexander Mattison, who logged five carries for 60 yards in the Raiders' Week 4 win over the Browns.
Sep 29, 2024
Outplayed by Mattison in Week 4 win
White rushed 17 times for 50 yards, lost a fumble and didn't catch his only target in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
White was a workhorse on the ground but averaged just 2.9 yards per carry while Alexander Mattison racked up 60 rushing yards on just five attempts. White's fumble was returned for a touchdown by the defense in the fourth quarter. The Raiders overcame White's inefficiency and his crucial mistake to improve to 2-2, but his leash as the starter is growing shorter with each passing forgettable performance. White's averaging just 3.1 yards per carry and has yet to score a touchdown heading into a Week 5 trip to Denver.
Sep 22, 2024
Held to 34 yards
White rushed the ball 10 times for 34 yards in Sunday's 36-22 loss to the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
White served as the Raiders' traditional lead back, but he ceded work in obvious passing situations and near the goal line. He's struggled to rush with much efficiency this season (3.2 yards per carry), leaving him without high-value touches or big-play ability. With Las Vegas in negative game script for nearly the entirety of Sunday's loss, White's role was nonexistent for the second half and is also reason to pause before plugging him into lineups moving forward.
Sep 15, 2024
Stymied in Week 2 win
White rushed nine times for 24 yards and secured three of four targets for 14 yards in the Raiders' 26-23 win over the Ravens on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The Raiders managed to pull of an improbable victory, but because they trailed for large swaths of the game, the ground attack eventually took a back seat. White still led the team in carries, but it was notably Alexander Mattison that got a red-zone attempt in the third quarter that netted a one-yard touchdown. White has only netted 68 rushing yards on 22 carries over the first two games of the campaign, sending him into a Week 3 home matchup against the reeling Panthers.
Sep 9, 2024
Leads rushing attack as expected
White gained 44 yards on 13 carries in Sunday's 22-10 loss to the Chargers. He added two receptions for two yards and also lost a fumble.
ANALYSIS
White out-carried Alexander Mattison by a 13-4 margin, though he found running room hard to come by as he picked up only six yards on his first six carries. While his results improved mildly from there, he also lost a fumble early in the second half. White will likely continue to lead the Raiders in carries on early downs, though Mattison was targeted six times and caught a touchdown for the team's only trip to the end zone on the day.
Aug 18, 2024
Garners chunk gain Saturday
White rushed four times for 23 yards and failed to bring in his only target in the Raiders' 27-12 preseason loss to the Cowboys on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
White drew the start and put together what appears to be a fine rushing line on the surface, but it's worth noting 17 of his yards on his first rush attempt. Nevertheless, the third-year back is primed to open the season as the Raiders' No. 1 option in the ground game, although offseason addition Alexander Mattison is talented enough to serve as a threat if White struggles in the role.
Aug 17, 2024
Likely to play Saturday
White and the Raiders' other healthy starters are expected to play in Saturday's preseason game against Dallas, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Antonio Pierce didn't discuss specific names apart from the quarterback but did say "if you're healthy, you'll play." It's unclear if that applies to, say, WR Davante Adams, who was held out of the preseason opener while a slew of other starters played, including White, WR Jakobi Meyers and TEs Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer. White finished the game with six carries for 23 yards and a touchdown, getting most of his playing time on the first couple drives before taking a couple goal-line snaps in the second quarter and punching in a short touchdown.
Aug 11, 2024
Finds end zone in preseason loss
White carried the ball six times for 23 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 24-23 preseason loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
The third-year back got the start and capped a drive in the second quarter with a two-yard touchdown run that gave the Raiders a 17-7 lead, before the game tilted the Vikings' way after halftime. White has little competition for the starting job in the Las Vegas backfield, but he heads into 2024 as a relatively unproven option who managed just one touchdown on 136 touches in his first two NFL campaigns while working as Josh Jacobs' backup.

Locked into lead role
White is entrenched as the Raiders' top running back, according to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
ANALYSIS
He won't necessarily keep the role long if he struggles come September, but every indication out of Las Vegas this spring and summer has been that White will enter Week 1 as the team's lead runner. It helps that the Raiders don't have much behind him, with the most noteworthy alternatives being Vikings castoff Alexander Mattison, 2024 sixth-round pick Dylan Laube and third-down specialist Ameer Abdullah. Laube apparently has been mixing in with the first-team offense during camp, but only in clear passing situations. White started the final four games of last season, averaging 21.0 carries for 99.3 yards and 0.25 TDs plus 2.3 catches for 5.0 yards on 3.3 targets.

Locked in for lead role
White is "entrenched" as the Raiders' top running back, according to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
ANALYSIS
He won't necessarily keep the role if he struggles come September, but every indication out of Las Vegas this spring and summer has been that White will enter Week 1 as the lead runner without facing serious competition during camp/preseason. It helps that the Raiders don't have much behind him, with the most noteworthy alternatives being Vikings castoff Alexander Mattison, rookie sixth-round pick Dylan Laube and third-down specialist Ameer Abdullah. Laube apparently has been mixing in with the first-team offense, but only in clear passing situations so far. White started the final four games of last season, averaging 21.0 carries for 99.3 yards and 0.25 TDs plus 2.3 catches for 5.0 yards on 3.3 targets.

On track to pace Las Vegas backfield
Following the 2024 NFL Draft, White continues to profile as the Raiders' top backfield option, Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed of The Athletic report.
ANALYSIS
Since the end of last season, the Raiders notably bid adieu to Josh Jacobs, who had served as the team's top RB since 2019. Following free agency and the draft, White remains projected to pace the team's rushing corps in 2024, with newcomer Alexander Mattison on hand to work in a complementary role, while Ameer Abdullah and rookie sixth-rounder Dylan Laube profile as change-of-pace options. Though it remains to be seen how much volume White yields to his teammates, the 2022 fourth-rounder nonetheless appears poised to see a significant enough uptick in touches (after recording 104 carries and 15 catches in 17 regular-season games in 2023) to maintain weekly fantasy utility this coming season.

Backfield depth added by Las Vegas
Following the free-agent departure of Josh Jacobs, White is the Raiders' expected starter at running back, with Alexander Mattison likely to serve as his top backup, according to Tashan Reed of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Once Jacobs departed, it seemed inevitable that the Raiders would fortify their running back corps, either through free agency, the draft, or both. In Mattison, the team adds a player who made 13 starts for the Vikings last season, but at this stage it appears as though White -- who finished the 2023 regular season strong -- has the inside track to lead Las Vegas' backfield in 2024 while Mattison can spell him on early downs as well as offer a receiving threat in passing situations. In such a scenario, White would maintain fantasy utility, though his upside in that regard could hinge on how much volume he cedes to Mattison. Meanwhile, Ameer Abdullah remains on hand to provide a change-of-pace presence, with Brittain Brown, Sincere McCormick and Tyreik McAllister also in the depth mix.

Stands atop depth chart
White is situated as Las Vegas' top running back entering the new league year with Josh Jacobs slated to ink a four-year, $48 million contract with the Packers, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
White is facing real opportunity atop the Raiders' depth chart after an impressive end to the 2023 campaign, in which he averaged 114.3 yards from scrimmage across the team's last four games with Jacobs sidelined. While Las Vegas could still add significant backfield competition via free agency or the 2024 NFL Draft, White currently has few established names behind him aside from special-teams ace Ameer Abdullah, whom the Raiders opted to re-sign. White's final numbers across 17 regular-season appearances in 2023 came to just 104 rushes for 451 yards and one touchdown, plus catches for 98 yards on 19 targets, but the 2022 fourth-round pick has a clear path to a significantly increased workload looking ahead to the 2024 campaign.
Jan 7, 2024
Tops 100 yards
White rushed 25 times for 112 yards and caught one of two targets for nine yards in Sunday's 27-14 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
White started with Josh Jacobs (quadricep) sidelined again and turned in another strong performance. In fact, with an expanded role over Las Vegas' last four games, White averaged nearly 115 scrimmage yards. That production inflated his final numbers to 104 rushes for 451 yards and a touchdown to go with 15 grabs on 19 targets for 98 yards in 17 games. With Jacobs set to become an unrestricted free agent, it remains to be seen whether White will approach the 2024 campaign with the larger role for the Raiders.
Jan 5, 2024
Likely to retain lead role Sunday
White is expected to remain the Raiders' lead back for Sunday's game against the Broncos with Josh Jacobs (quadricep) ruled out for a fourth straight game, Ezekiel Trezevant IV of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
While Jacobs has been sidelined for the previous three games, White has impressed in a workhorse role of the backfield, carrying 59 times for 285 yards (4.8 average) and one touchdown to go with eight catches for 51 yards on 11 targets over that stretch. With Jacobs out again for the season finale, look for the Raiders to once again lean heavily on the White-led ground attack, with reserve backs Ameer Abdullah and Brandon Bolden likely to handle light roles behind the second-year player out of Georgia.
Dec 31, 2023
Tops century mark Sunday
White carried the ball 20 times for 71 yards and caught five of six targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Making his third straight start in place of Josh Jacobs (quadriceps), White topped 100 scrimmage yards for the second straight game while also having the most productive performance of his career as a receiver. The second-year back has amassed 336 combined yards and a rushing TD on 67 touches while in an elevated role, and given that the Raiders have now been eliminated from the playoffs and Jacobs is a free agent in the offseason, White could make one more start regardless of the senior RB's health in Week 18 against the Broncos.
Dec 31, 2023
Another start on tap
With Josh Jacobs (quad) inactive, White is in line to continue to lead the Raiders' backfield Sunday against the Colts, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
White has started the team's last two games in the absence of Jacobs, and that context will continue versus Indianapolis on Sunday. Over his last two outings while filling in as the Raiders' top back, White has combined for 39 carries for 214 yards and a TD to go along with three catches for 16 yards in that span. With a path to rushing volume once again available for the 2022 fourth-rounder, White profiles as a solid fantasy lineup option in Week 17.
Dec 25, 2023
Racks up 145 rushing yards Monday
White churned out 145 yards on 22 carries but didn't haul in his only target during Monday's 20-14 win at Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
White earned a second start in a row for the absent Josh Jacobs (quadriceps/illness), one-upping his performance (20 touches for 85 yards from scrimmage and a rushing TD) from a Week 15 demolition of the Chargers. With a lacking passing game that produced just 48 net yards in Week 16, White in essence was the Raiders offense, while fellow running back Ameer Abdullah mustered 12 total yards on three touches. Jacobs made some progress in his recovery by logging a limited practice last Friday, so his activity level will be watched as week goes on to see if he has a chance to return Sunday at Indianapolis. As long as Jacobs is sidelined, though, White is poised to pace the team's backfield.
Dec 25, 2023
Likely to lead ground attack Monday
White is expected to serve as the leader of Las Vegas' backfield committee Monday in Kansas City with Josh Jacobs (quadricep/illness) in line to miss a second consecutive game, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Though Jacobs took a small step forward in his recovery from the quad injury that kept him out of last Thursday's 63-21 win over the Chargers by turning in one limited practice this week, he's also working his way back from an illness and ultimately didn't make enough progress for the Raiders to feel comfortable with clearing him to play. Las Vegas got by just fine without its No. 1 back in last week's trouncing of Los Angeles, as White stepped in to lead the rushing attack with 17 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown to go with three receptions for 16 yards on four targets. Reserves Ameer Abdullah (six carries, two catches) and Brandon Bolden (two carries) also saw some involvement, but look for White to continue to lead the way on the ground versus Kansas City, while Abdullah operates primarily as a change-of-pace/pass-catching complement.
Dec 15, 2023
Solid as starting back
White rushed 17 times for 69 yards and a touchdown and brought in three of four targets for 16 yards in the Raiders' 63-21 win over the Chargers on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
With Josh Jacobs (quadriceps) sidelined, White took on the lead back role and put together a solid all-around night in the Raiders' offensive breakout. White got the avalanche of points started with a one-yard touchdown run to cap off Las Vegas' opening possession, his first career score. The 2022 fourth-round pick was the clear leader of the ground attack, outpacing veterans Ameer Abdullah and Brandon Bolden by 13 and 15 carries, respectively. Jacobs will have plenty of time to get healthy before a Week 16 road matchup against the Chiefs on Christmas Day, but if he remains sidelined, White will likely helm the running game again.
Dec 14, 2023
In line for starting nod Thursday
White is in line to serve as the Raiders' starting running back Thursday against the Chargers with Josh Jacobs (quadricep) listed as questionable but on track to sit out the Week 15 game, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Jacobs has played in all of the Raiders' 13 games to date and has been a three-down workhorse, clearing 70 percent of the offensive snaps in each of the first 12 contests until the quad issue forced him out late in this past Sunday's 3-0 win over the Vikings. After Jacobs was unable to move past the injury on a short week, the Raiders will now turn the backfield over to White and Ameer Abdullah, with Brandon Bolden lingering as a third option but more likely to see nearly all of his work on special teams. The 5-foot-9, 203-pound Abdullah is likely to have a role as the Raiders' top change-of-pace/passing-down option Thursday, but the more sturdily built White (six-foot, 215 pounds) is the favorite to lead the Raiders in carries and should see most of the snaps in goal-line/short-yardage situations. The 24-year-old doesn't have much of an NFL track record to fall back on -- he's averaged 3.4 yards and has yet to score a touchdown on 37 career carries -- but with Jacobs out of the mix, White could see enough vo
Dec 11, 2023
Rushes twice for eight yards Sunday
White rushed twice for eight yards in Sunday's 3-0 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
White logged only five offensive snaps despite starter Josh Jacobs exiting Sunday's contest in the fourth quarter with a knee injury, while fellow running back Ameer Abdullah gained 19 yards on three touches across 15 snaps. If Jacobs is unable to suit up Thursday against the Chargers due to the aforementioned knee issue, however, White could be next in line to handle early-down work out of the Raiders' backfield with Abdullah providing relief in passing situations.
Nov 6, 2023
Four carries Sunday
White rushed for a loss of two yards on four carries in Sunday's 30-6 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
White played just five offensive snaps while starter Josh Jacobs racked up 98 yards and two touchdowns on 26 rushes, and the former had two of his four carries result in negative yardage. Fellow running back Ameer Abdullah also earned four touches, leaving White with few opportunities to produce ahead of a Week 10 matchup against the Jets.
Oct 23, 2023
Three receptions on final drive
White rushed twice for two yards and caught all three of his targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 30-12 loss to the Bears.
ANALYSIS
White made a catch on three consecutive plays during the Raiders' final drive of the contest to help set up a nine-yard touchdown pass from Aidan O'Connell to Jakobi Meyers in garbage time. Game flow allowed White to record a season-high 14 offensive snaps as well, but Josh Jacobs figures to again see a majority of the backfield touches against the Lions in Week 8.
Oct 16, 2023
Four touches in win
White rushed twice for two yards in Sunday's 21-17 win over the Patriots. He also caught both of his targets for seven yards.
ANALYSIS
White's two receptions marked a career high, but he was still buried in the offensive game plan behind workhorse Josh Jacobs, who handled 27 touches for 93 total yards Sunday. Through the Raiders' first six games of the season, White has rushed just 10 times for 41 yards.
Oct 10, 2023
Zero offensive snaps Monday
White was held without an offensive snap in Monday's 17-13 win over the Packers.
ANALYSIS
White's involvement was limited to special teams on Monday Night Football, while starter Josh Jacobs handled 20 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown to go along with five catches on as many targets for 20 receiving yards. Ameer Abdullah continues to provide occasional relief on passing downs as well, so White remains nothing more than a stash ahead of a Week 6 matchup against the Patriots.
Oct 2, 2023
Gains 15 yards rushing Sunday
White rushed three times for 15 yards in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
White was limited to just seven offensive snaps Sunday, but his Week 4 performance was highlighted by an 11-yard run to move the chains late in the third quarter. He's now earned only nine total touches through the Raiders' first four games, and starter Josh Jacobs figures to remain a bell cow out of the backfield against the Packers in Week 5.
Sep 18, 2023
Four late carries in blowout loss
White rushed four times for 22 yards in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
White's four carries didn't come until the Raiders' final drive of this blowout defeat, so although the box score shows he was more efficient than starter Josh Jacobs on the ground, Jacobs still caught five passes for 51 yards on six targets while playing 29 of a possible 40 offensive snaps. White remains the primary backup to Jacobs ahead of a Week 3 matchup against the Steelers.
Sep 10, 2023
Two touches in win
White rushed once for two yards and caught his lone target for five yards in Sunday's 17-16 win over Denver.
ANALYSIS
Josh Jacobs (19-48-0) dominated the backfield touches as expected, leaving little work for the Raiders' primary backup. White lost all fantasy value when Jacobs signed a one-year deal to return to Las Vegas right before the season, and only injury would change that scenario. The second-year back will stay ready when called upon against the Bills on Sunday.
Aug 26, 2023
Poised to give way to Jacobs
Josh Jacobs has agreed to a one-year deal with the Raiders worth up to $12 million, per Jeff Howe, Dianna Russini and Tashan Reed of Athletic, which sets the stage for White to work in complementary role in the team's backfield this coming season.
ANALYSIS
Jacobs had been sitting out training camp given that he hadn't signed his $10.1 million franchise tag, a context that led to White filling in as the team's lead back. With Jacobs is poised to rejoin the mix, White is slated to revert to a backup role, a context that gives the 2022 fourth-rounder value as an insurance policy in the event that Jacobs misses time this coming season. Jacobs should have enough time before Week 1 to ready himself for a standard workload, or close to it, but if the Raiders elect to ease in their top back at all, White could handle some extra touches out of the gate, while working in a Las Vegas backfield that also includes veteran change-of-pace options Ameer Abdullah and Brandon Bolden.
Aug 20, 2023
Leads backfield Saturday
White rushed 10 times for 40 yards and brought in his only target for nine yards in the Raiders' 34-17 preseason win over the Rams on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
White got the first touch among the Raiders' running backs and ended up leading the team in carries and rushing yards. The 2022 fourth-round pick appears on track to open the season as the No. 1 running back given Josh Jacobs' ongoing absence due to a contract dispute, and after logging 23 carries over the first two preseason games, White may be rested in next Saturday night's road preseason finale against the Cowboys ahead of Week 1.
Aug 13, 2023
Scores TD on first drive
White rushed 13 times for 43 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's exhibition win over the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
White got the start for Las Vegas in the absence of Josh Jacobs, who has yet to report to the team over a contract dispute. The 23-year-old took advantage of the opportunity and punched in a touchdown on his sixth carry of the Raiders' opening drive. White's starting opportunity will hinge on how Jacobs' contract situation unfolds in the coming weeks. Should the 2022 fourth-round pick wind up the starter for Las Vegas come Week 1, his value would rocket up in fantasy.
Jan 16, 2023
Spends rookie season behind Jacobs
White returned from a two-game absence due to an ankle injury to take his lone carry for four yards in the Raiders' Week 18 loss to the Chiefs, finishing his rookie campaign with just 17 rushes for 70 yards in 14 games.
ANALYSIS
White logged an average of less than three offensive snaps per game in his first season, as the 2022 fourth-rounder mostly stuck to the bench while workhorse Josh Jacobs dominated touches out of the Raiders' backfield en route to a career year. The latter is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, however, so the starting job could be available for White to earn if the team elects not to re-sign Jacobs.
Jan 3, 2023
Drops injury tag
White (ankle) was a full participant in Tuesday's estimated injury report, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
White missed each of the team's last two games, but it appears he'll likely be able to play in the team's season finale Saturday against the Chiefs. It's been a relatively quiet season for the rookie, who has seen just 34 offensive snaps in 13 games, which has led to 16 carries on 66 yards. However, it's always possible he could see a heavier workload to close out the season.
Jan 1, 2023
Inactive Sunday
White (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
With White still sidelined Sunday, Ameer Abdullah, Brandon Bolden and Brittain Brown are available to handle complementary backfield duties in Week 17 behind starter Josh Jacobs. White will thus target a potential return to action next weekend against the Chiefs.
Dec 30, 2022
Questionable for Sunday
White (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the 49ers, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
White has been limited in each practice over the past two weeks due to an ankle injury, which caused him to miss his second game of the season during the loss to Pittsburgh on Christmas Eve. The rookie running back will be considered questionable to play for the second game in a row, so it will be worth monitoring his status on the final inactives list released 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:05 pm E.T. kickoff. If White remains out, then Ameer Abdullah, Brandon Bolden and Brittain Brown will serve as the three available running backs behind starter Josh Jacobs.
Dec 28, 2022
Logs limited practice Wednesday
White (ankle) was a limited participant in the Raiders' practice Wednesday, Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
White logged two limited practice sessions last week but was ultimately ruled out for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh. His ability to start off this week with a limited session suggests that he could return to action New Year's Day versus San Francisco, though that's not a certainty given how last week played out. White's chances of playing Week 17 would be significantly boosted if he's able to participate fully in practice at some point over the next two days.
Dec 24, 2022
Inactive Saturday
White (ankle) is inactive for Saturday's game against the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
White was listed as questionable for the contest after logging limited practices Wednesday and Thursday, and he'll sit this one out, which leaves Ameer Abdullah, Brandon Bolden and Brittain Brown to handle complementary backfield duties Saturday behind Josh Jacobs. White will target a potential return to action in Week 17 against the 49ers.
Dec 22, 2022
Status up in the air for Week 16
White (ankle) is considered questionable for Saturday's game against the Steelers, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
White opened Week 16 as a non-participant during practice due to an ankle injury, though it's unclear when or how this issue first arose. The rookie running back then logged back-to-back limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday, so he'll still have a chance to play against Pittsburgh despite this slightly short week to recover. White has yet to log more than three carries in a game this season, though his potential absence would likely vault Brandon Bolden into the Raiders' No. 3 running back role.
Dec 20, 2022
Sits out practice with ankle injury
White was listed as a non-participant on Tuesday's estimated practice report due to an ankle injury.
ANALYSIS
White played only eight total snaps in Sunday's 30-24 win over the Patriots, but his inclusion on the Raiders' first Week 16 injury report suggests he got hurt at some point during his limited time on the field. Even if White moves past the injury ahead of Saturday's game at Pittsburgh, he'll be in store for only a small role behind lead back Josh Jacobs.
Dec 20, 2022
Rushes once in win
White rushed once for four yards in Sunday's 30-24 win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
White has yet to log more than five offensive snaps in a single contest this year, continuing to spend his rookie campaign buried behind bell cow Josh Jacobs and pass-down specialist Ameer Abdullah. Since Week 13, White has taken six carries for just 19 yards in three games.
Dec 12, 2022
Season-high three carries in loss
White rushed three times for nine yards in Thursday's 17-16 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
White's three carries marked a season high, though he logged only three offensive snaps behind starter Josh Jacobs (finger) and Ameer Abdullah on Thursday. Jacobs' initial X-rays on his injured pinkie finger returned negative, but it could be something to continue monitoring ahead of the Raiders' upcoming tilt against New England.
Dec 5, 2022
Two carries Sunday
White rushed twice for six yards in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
White logged only four offensive snaps despite starter Josh Jacobs having nursed a left calf strain all week, and the latter rushed for 144 yards and a score on 26 carries Sunday. White's role out of the Raiders' backfield figures to remain limited Thursday against the Rams with Jacobs seemingly at full strength.
Nov 28, 2022
Produces two first-down runs in win
White rushed for 28 yards on two carries in Sunday's 40-34 overtime win over the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
White toted the rock twice despite appearing on just three of the Raiders' 77 offensive plays, and the rookie's rush attempts were successful with carries of 11 and 17 yards to set up a pair of first downs in the third quarter. Starter Josh Jacobs still owns the backfield, however, erupting for 303 total yards and two touchdowns on 39 touches. Expect White to remain behind Jacobs and Ameer Abdullah in the pecking order at running back when Las Vegas hosts the Chargers in Week 13.
Nov 27, 2022
Back in the mix Sunday
White is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
White, who was inactive last weekend, is back in action Sunday, while Brittain Brown will sit this one out. Also in the team's backfield mix in Week 12 are starter Josh Jacobs, Ameer Abdullah and Brandon Bolden.
Nov 20, 2022
Inactive Sunday
White (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
With White inactive, Ameer Abdullah,Brandon Bolden and Brittain Brown are the Raiders' available backfield options Sunday behind starter Josh Jacobs.
Nov 15, 2022
Two touches in loss to Indy
White lost one yard on two carries in Sunday's 25-20 loss to the Colts.
ANALYSIS
White's playing time remains severely limited behind workhorse Josh Jacobs, and the former has produced only 19 yards on eight carries through nine games to begin his rookie campaign. White has logged just 13 total offensive snaps in four games since the Raiders' bye week.
Nov 7, 2022
Negative yardage in loss
White lost a yard on his only carry during Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
White's lone carry came on his only offensive snap of the day, while starter Josh Jacobs finished the contest with 20 touches for 87 total yards. Ameer Abdullah continues to work behind Jacobs on passing downs, leaving very little opportunity for White to see the field.
Oct 24, 2022
Plays five offensive snaps Sunday
White took his only carry for two yards in Sunday's 38-20 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
White logged a season-high five offensive snaps in the contest, but starter Josh Jacobs retained the bell cow role out of the Raiders' backfield with 20 carries for 143 yards and three touchdowns. Expect Jacobs to continue handling a significant share of the work against the Saints in Week 8, while White struggles to gain relevance in most fantasy formats.
Oct 11, 2022
Barely sees field in Week 5 loss
White lost seven yards on his only carry during Monday's 30-29 loss to the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
White's only touch of the entire contest came on a seven-yard loss early in the second quarter, and he's now played three or less offensive snaps in all five games to start his rookie campaign. Starter Josh Jacobs retained his workhorse role out of the Raiders' backfield Monday, producing 193 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown on 26 touches. White heads into the team's bye week with just four carries for 19 yards this season.
Oct 3, 2022
Two carries in win
White took two carries for 24 yards in Sunday's 32-23 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
White's role behind starter Josh Jacobs remains extremely limited as the rookie played only three offensive snaps in the Raiders' maiden victory, while Jacobs exploded for 175 total yards and two touchdowns on 33 touches. White figures to provide insurance behind Jacobs again Week 5 in another divisional matchup against the Chiefs.
Sep 26, 2022
No offensive snaps in Week 3
White didn't play any offensive snaps in Sunday's 24-22 loss to the Titans.
ANALYSIS
White didn't touch the ball, and his usage was limited to nine snaps on special teams. The rookie running back isn't part of Vegas' backfield equation at the moment, as coach Josh McDaniels is content with a mix of veterans Josh Jacobs and Brandon Bolden in the backfield.
Sep 19, 2022
One carry in loss
White took his only carry for two yards in Sunday's overtime loss to the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
The Raiders built a commanding 20-point lead ahead of halftime and subsequently leaned on starter Josh Jacobs out of the backfield, as he finished the contest with 19 carries for 69 yards while White earned just one touch in six offensive snaps. Ameer Abdullah mixed in on passing downs with Brandon Bolden (hamstring) inactive, further limiting White's role.
Sep 12, 2022
Zero offensive snaps in debut
White was limited to just four snaps on special teams during his pro debut in a 24-19 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
White didn't see the field on offense as the Raiders were forced to play catch-up for a majority of the season opener, registering only 13 total carries as a team. The rookie fourth-round pick could remain relatively uninvolved again in Week 2 against the Cardinals with Brandon Bolden (hamstring) and Ameer Abdullah splitting pass-down work behind starter Josh Jacobs.
Aug 27, 2022
Draws starting assignment Friday
White rushed five times for 17 yards and a touchdown and wasn't targeted in the passing game during the Raiders' 23-6 preseason win over the Patriots on Friday night.
ANALYSIS
The rookie drew the starting assignment and logged all his touches during the Raiders' first two drives. White capped off the second of those possessions with a four-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter, his second trip to the end zone in the last two exhibitions. White has performed impressively overall this summer, seemingly setting him up for the No. 2 running back role behind Josh Jacobs beginning with a Week 1 road AFC West battle against the Chargers on Sunday, Sept. 11.
Aug 20, 2022
Finds end zone in win
White rushed five times for eight yards and a touchdown and secured his only target for four yards in the Raiders' 15-13 preseason win over the Dolphins on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
White drew the start with Josh Jacobs (coach's decision) sitting out, and he was able to close out the Raiders' first drive with a two-yard touchdown run. The rookie opened the preseason with a bang by gaining 75 total yards on 14 touches against the Jaguars in the Hall of Fame Game, but he's subsequently rushed for 21 yards on 10 carries in the next two exhibitions. Nevertheless, the fact White was the first back in ahead of veteran Kenyan Drake, who gained a modest 16 yards on his six touches, means the former could be on track to secure the No. 2 running back job behind Jacobs.
Aug 14, 2022
Quiet in second preseason game
White started Sunday's preseason tilt against the Vikings -- with Josh Jacobs being a healthy scratch -- rushing five times for 13 yards and catching two of three targets for four yards.
ANALYSIS
White wasn't able to replicate his strong showing from the Hall of Fame Game on Aug. 4 (75 total yards), but his status as the starter bodes well for his prospects of moving up the depth chart as a rookie. With starter Josh Jacobs (rest) looking healthy for the start of the regular season, White's best-case scenario might end up being a change-of-pace/third-down role where he gets to flash his big-play ability with a handful of touches each week. For fantasy purposes, there might not be enough volume for the fourth-round pick to be a standard-league option early on, but he is certainly a name to monitor, should he carve out a larger role. We should get a clearer picture of the backfield depth chart during the Raiders' third preseason game against Miami next Saturday.

Impressive in preseason opener
White rushed 11 times for 52 yards and brought in three of four targets for 23 yards during the Raiders' 27-11 preseason win over the Jaguars in Thursday's Hall of Fame Game.
ANALYSIS
The rookie fourth-round pick was notably the second running back in behind Josh Jacobs and paced the Las Vegas backfield on the night in carries and carries and rushing yards, flashing some of the efficiency that led to him averaging over 5.0 yards per carry in each of his three college seasons at Georgia. White's work as a receiver was equally encouraging, considering he finished his time with the Bulldogs having garnered just 17 receptions in 37 games. White is likely to see another solid dose of action when the Raiders face the Vikings in their next preseason contest on Sunday, Aug. 14.

Back at practice
White, who missed the first two days of training camp with an undisclosed injury, has returned to practice, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Tafur adds that the 2022 fourth-rounder has impressed since returning to the field, with running backs coach Kennedy Polamalu noting of White that "he's tough, has good contact balance, and you can see the growth in a new system." Now that he's back in the mix, the Georgia product will look to carve out a role in a Raiders backfield that's currently headed by returnees Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake. For now, White doesn't have a clear path to steady early-season volume, but that narrative could change down the road if he continues to impress this summer and/or either Jacobs or Drake miss time for any reason.

Coach downplays injury
Coach Josh McDaniels doesn't expect a lengthy absence for White, who is dealing with an undisclosed injury, Hondo S. Carpenter of Sports Illustrated reports.
ANALYSIS
"He's doing everything he can to get back out there as soon as possible," McDaniels said of White, "And the hope would be that it's not too much longer." Drafted in the fourth round out of Georgia in 2022, White will join a crowded Raiders backfield that also includes Josh Jacobs, Kenyan Drake and Brandon Bolden once the rookie's cleared to practice.

Misses practice
White (undisclosed) missed a third straight practice Tuesday, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It's not the best start if he's going to take any work away from veteran starter Josh Jacobs, but the rookie fourth-round pick does still have six weeks to make an impression before the beginning of the regular season. The Raiders have White, Kenyan Drake, Brandon Bolden and Ameer Abdullah and Brittain Brown as the backfield alternatives behind Jacobs, with White perhaps being the best fit for short-yardage work and/or early downs.

Lands in Vegas
The Raiders selected White in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 122nd overall.
ANALYSIS
This is an interesting pick in light of the Raiders declining to pick up Josh Jacobs' fifth-year option Friday. White was a highly regarded recruit coming out of high school but two ACL tears -- one in high school and one as a freshman at Georgia -- kept him out until 2019. He was lightly used in 2019 before taking on more of a lead role in his final two seasons, when he combined for 304 carries, 1,635 yards and 22 rushing touchdowns. White is a physical, north-south runner at 6-foot and 214 pounds who is unlikely to have much of an impact as a pass catcher. Considering the injury history, White ran surprisingly well at the combine with a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash. He can challenge for early down work early in his Raiders career but is not a major threat to Jacobs' workload just yet.
