Using insights from our NFL computer picks this week, here are our top best NFL bets for Thursday Night Football:
Commanders -1.5 (-108) at Vikings
You may be wondering why the Commanders are road favorites? The answer is because Jayden Daniels looks ready to return to action. Getting a massive upgrade at quarterback is going to pay major dividends for the Commanders. This team is coming off back-to-back overtime losses to the Dolphins and Broncos. With Terry McLaurin back, it’s a totally different offense. Look for Washington to get it done against the struggling Vikings, especially with J.J. McCarthy looking like the worst starting QB in the NFL.
Steelers/Ravens Under 43.5 (-120)
I like getting above the key number of 43 with this under, giving us a chance to hit our bet even with a 23-20 result, which is a common score line. Simply put, Lamar Jackson has not looked like himself since returning to action. There’s a good chance that he’ll continue to struggle against an improving Steelers defense. It also helps that the Ravens have been much better defensively of late.
Colts/Jaguars Under 47 (-109)
Usually, you would think that a Colts vs Jaguars matchup could produce a ton of points, but weather forecasts call for rainy conditions for this one. In this pivotal AFC South matchup, it feels like a close, low-scoring game that comes down to the wire. On top of that, the Jaguars have an underrated defense, as we saw last week, when they shut down Cam Ward and the Titans.
At OddsTrader, we leverage proprietary AI and machine learning algorithms to simulate thousands of game outcomes. Our NFL computer picks deliver unbiased projections for:
These free NFL predictions are updated throughout the week to reflect real-time changes in player availability, odds movement, and public betting percentages. Each of our NFL best bets is heavily researched and informed by pertinent data, including head-to-head matchups, weather conditions, recent performance, and much more.
Against the Spread (ATS) betting is one of the most popular ways to wager on NFL games. Instead of simply picking a winner, you’re betting on whether a team will cover the spread—either winning by a certain number of points or losing by fewer than expected.
For example, if the Packers are -3 favorites, they must win by more than 3 points to cover the spread. If they win by 2 or lose, they fail to cover.
Our ATS picks are informed by betting trends, head-to-head results, and market shifts to spot value plays others might miss.
Over/Under betting, also known as totals, focuses on the combined score of both teams in a game. If the total is set at 48.5, you’re betting whether the final score will be over or under that number.
Our data models analyze offensive and defensive metrics, pace of play, weather, and matchup history to give you accurate Over/Under picks.
Moneyline bets are the most straightforward; you’re simply picking which team will win the game outright. No spreads involved. These are great for parlays or betting on underdogs with upset potential.
We provide NFL moneyline picks for every matchup, highlighting where the odds offer value based on simulation results and sharp money trends.
A parlay bet combines multiple individual bets into one ticket. All legs must win for the bet to cash, but the payout increases with each added selection. A same-game parlay (SGP) allows you to bet on different outcomes within a single game—like a team to win, the total to go Over, and a player to score a touchdown.
Beyond weekly picks, OddsTrader also provides season-long NFL futures, long-term bets that predict the outcome of key awards and events such as:
