The Braves’ top of the lineup has dominated right-handed pitching. The bottom half hasn’t. But with Wentz on the mound, the Braves won’t need a huge amount of runs.

The Twins’ Lefties Should Dominate!
Casey Mize will take the hill for the Detroit Tigers tonight. He’s allowed a .485 ISO and wOBA of .584 to his last 36 lefties.
Meanwhile, Minnesota has more lefties than righties in the lineup. In that projected lineup, the lefties have hit a .211 ISO and wOBA of .318 with just 20.1% of strikeouts and 12.1% of walks. Those lefties should have a field day against Mize.
Conversely, it’ll be Zebby Matthews on the hill for the Twins. While he’s allowed a high ISO and wOBA, he’s also struck out nearly 30% of his last 107 batters.
The good news for Matthews is that he’s facing a Tigers lineup that has struck out close to 28% of the time against righties over the last 30 days.

It hasn’t been perfect for Adrian Houser since he was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays. But he’s looked good at times.
After all, he’s held his last 102 batters to a .180 ISO and wOBA of .430, but has induced close to 49% of ground balls and has allowed just 24.3% of fly balls.
He’s also kept walks down to 7.8%. These numbers aren’t terrible. Ultimately, he should improve his wOBA if this continues.
On the other hand, it’ll be Justin Verlander for the Giants. Verlander has allowed a .375 wOBA and has struck out only 18.7% of batters over the last month.
He’s specifically been bad against lefties and will face Brandon Lowe, Josh Lowe, and Chandler Simpson, who have all had success against righties over the last 30 days.
Let’s give the Rays a try at +112.
