Tonight, we’re looking for some underdog value plays using our AI Model!
Our AI Model has been very good at finding underdog plays over the last few weeks. Let’s hope that continues with tonight’s three bets provided by Caesars Sportsbook (check our Caesars Sportsbook Review)
San Diego Padres vs. Miami Marlins
Tuesday, July 22, 2025 – 06:40 PM EDT at loanDepot park
Our AI Model believes the Padres will add a 4.5-4.4 win over the Marlins tonight. However, the Padres are -104 on the moneyline. While they’re not a plus-money play, the Padres are still slight underdogs on the road.
It’s Hard To Hit For Power Against Kolek!
The San Diego Padres are set to pitch Stephen Kolek tonight. The righty has allowed a .133 ISO to his last 66 batters and has only walked 4.5% of batters in the previous month.
He’s set to face Edward Cabrera, who has struck out just 14.6% of lefties over the last 30 days. Ultimately, he’ll face more lefties than righties in the lineup, meaning there’s a good chance the Padres put the ball in play and make some things happen.
Neither lineup has been super consistent against righties, but it’s likely San Diego will be more patient at the plate and find ways to get on base.
That said, let’s back the Padres at -104 using our AI Model.
New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Tuesday, July 22, 2025 – 07:07 PM EDT at Rogers Centre
The AI Model suggests the Yankees will earn a 4.7-3.9 win over the Blue Jays on the road tonight. However, you can find the pinstripes at +110 on the moneyline. There’s plenty of value here for the road team.
Give Some Credit To The Prospect!
The New York Yankees have finally given Cam Schlittler a chance in the Majors. The top-100 prospect has struck out 33.3% of batters faced since he got the call.
That said, it’ll be hard for him to add strikeouts, but he’s ultimately auditioning for a starting spot with the Yankees at the MLB Trade Deadline. Either that, or he’ll be traded to another team so that the Yankees can get more pitching depth for their team this year.
He’ll go up against a legend in Max Scherzer. However, Scherzer has allowed a .278 ISO and wOBA of .384 to his last 39 lefties and will likely face seven lefties in the Yankees’ lineup.
As a collective group, the Yankees have also hit a .218 ISO and wOBA of .376 against righties over the last month.
That said, they look good enough on paper to trust their moneyline at around +110.
San Francisco Giants vs. Atlanta Braves
Tuesday, July 22, 2025 – 07:15 PM EDT at Truist Park
The AI Model believes the Giants will get past the Braves with a 4.0-3.6 win. Meanwhile, the Giants are only -105 and are still slight underdogs against the Braves on the road. This is another fun play to consider for tonight.
Landen Roupp Has Been Great!
The San Francisco Giants will send out Landen Roupp for tonight’s game against the Braves. The right-hander isn’t adding a high rate of strikeouts. Yet, he’s still allowed a .074 ISO and has earned 50.8% of ground balls with only 15.9% of fly balls over the last month.
Roupp is set to face a Braves lineup that has hit a .330 wOBA collectively over the last 30 days. The Braves have also walked only 8.1% of the time against righties in that span and also have a high rate of strikeouts. Roupp could add more strikeouts than usual tonight and should also be able to get some easy outs in play.
On the other hand, David Daniel will start for the Braves. The Atlanta righty has walked 17.6% of his last 17 batters and has allowed 33.3% of fly balls with only 33.3% of ground balls.
It’s more likely Daniel will get himself in trouble on the mound. With more runners on bases, the Giants should be able to capitalize. And we should be able to ride their moneyline priced around -105 at most of our top-rated sportsbooks.
