Florida Panthers vs. Edmonton Oilers
Saturday, June 14, 2025 – 08:00 PM EDT at Rogers Place
Oilers Showed Some True Grit
The Edmonton Oilers showed their impressive bounce-back ability in Game 4 of the series, coming back from a 3-0 deficit on the road to somehow claim a 5-4 overtime victory.
Credit where it’s due—absolutely nobody saw this win coming after the Panthers’ red-hot start. Up three goals early, the Oilers looked stunned and ended the first period trailing 3-0. But somehow, they flipped a switch, scoring three goals within a 12-minute span after netting their first.
Leon Draisaitl was the hero for the Oilers, scoring the overtime winner. Some depth players also stepped up, with Vasily Podkolzin and Jake Walman both getting on the scoresheet for just their second goal of the postseason. Defender Darnell Nurse also found the back of the net for just his third goal of the playoffs and eighth overall this season.
Why The Panthers Can Upset The Party
The traveling Panthers won’t roll over and lie down here. They’re one of the toughest teams in the NHL—resilient, relentless, and never willing to go down without a fight.
Florida is 9-3 on the road this postseason and will be looking to bounce back after their 3-0 defeat last time out. The Panthers are a well-rounded team—everyone puts in a shift, and it shows. Through this series, 11 different Panthers have recorded two or more points, compared to just two Oilers players. Everyone contributes on this roster, and that’s what makes them so dangerous.
Their goaltender has also been stellar, making over 30 saves in every game of the Finals while allowing just 2.27 goals per game.

The Pick
This series has been a goal-fest, and while we keep expecting an under to hit, these teams just can’t stop scoring. At this point, it’s pretty scary to back the under, especially with the first four games producing 7, 9, 7, and 9 goals respectively—the over is 4-0 so far.
That said, our computer model is projecting a 3-3 tie, which would suggest another overtime is looming. We’re not opposed to that scoreline. The great thing about betting on a tie at the end of regulation is that you cash whether it’s 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, and so on.
There have already been three overtime games in the series, and tonight could easily bring another. At the very least, backing a tie offers better value than trying to guess the total in a shootout-heavy series.
As for a winner, we lean toward the Oilers staying hot in front of goal, especially now that they’re back on home ice. The -118 moneyline isn’t a bad price—but we’d prefer something closer to -105, ideally.
