It wouldn’t be the Ultimate Fighting Championship without a little drama. Alex Pereira is vacating the Light Heavyweight title so he can compete for the interim Heavyweight strap this June at UFC Freedom 250 (aka UFC White House).
Former champion Jiri Prochazka will take on Carlos Ulberg for the vacant belt this Saturday at Miami’s Kaseya Center; it’s the main event of UFC 327, and it’s a virtual coin flip with each fighter opening at –110 on the MMA lines at OddsTrader.
Sadly, this will be the only title fight on the card after the Flyweight bout between champion Joshua Van and challenger Tatsuro Taira was moved to UFC 328. We’ve also seen several other changes to accommodate that show on the White House lawn, but there’s enough star power left over to give UFC betting fans plenty to work with this Saturday.
Who Wins Prochazka vs. Ulberg at UFC 327?
If you had to choose someone to grab the Light Heavyweight torch, Prochazka (32-5-1 lifetime) is the most obvious candidate now that Pereira has moved on. The Czech knockout artist took 13 of his last 14 fights by KO; 23 of his career wins have come in the first round, although Prochazka went to Round 3 in his most recent victories over Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr.
Where Prochazka brings punching power and high volatility, Ulberg (13-1) offers consistency. He’s won nine straight fights, using his kickboxing skills to dictate range, land clean, and finish off his opponents. There are questions about Ulberg’s chin, though, and whether he can make it through the championship rounds against an elite opponent.
As we go to press, these two gentlemen are still locked at –110 over at BetOnline, but the MMA odds have shifted slightly towards Prochazka at other online sportsbooks. Your best bet in this case might be to avoid picking an outright winner; look at the UFC prop market instead for a good price on this fight not going the distance.

Co-Main Event: Murzakanov vs. Costa
Adding to Saturday’s drama, we have Paulo Costa (15-4) making his Light Heavyweight debut against Azamat Murzakanov (16-0), yet another devastating fighter from the North Caucasus trained in combat by the Russian military.
Costa is the more famous of the two, but he’s also the +175 underdog after years of weight management issues and four losses in his last six fights. As with the main event, we’re looking at two knockout artists who aren’t being paid by the hour.
Murzakanov is coming off a first-round stoppage of Aleksandar Rakic at UFC 321 last October; we could see more of the same Saturday against a 34-year-old former Middleweight moving up in class, but is Murzakanov worth betting as short as –200? Hit those MMA props again if you think otherwise.
- Bet on Murzakanov +175 at BetOnline
Heavyweight: Blaydes vs. Hokit
There are 10 more fights on the UFC 327 odds board at press time, featuring some notable names like Dominick Reyes, Cub Swanson, and Kelvin Gastelum, but there will be added interest in the third bout on the main card.
Curtis Blaydes (19-5, 1 NC) has been one of the most reliable commodities in the Heavyweight division for nearly a decade; Josh Hokit (8-0) is a rising star who’s finished each of his eight opponents, earning back-to-back performance bonuses for his two official UFC fights against Max Gimenis and Denzel Freeman.
Is Hokit the real deal? The former NCAA All-American wrestler and Fresno State football player made his MMA debut in 2023 after failing to catch on in the NFL; Hokit is available at +155 for Saturday’s “prove it” fight with Blaydes, the UFC record-holder for career takedowns and control time. Bet accordingly.
- Take Josh Hokit +155 for high-upside underdog at BetOnline
