The Chicago White Sox will sell some of their pieces by the Trade Deadline, and Lance Lynn might be one of those pieces.

He’ll take the mound tonight for the White Sox. He’s earned 32.9% of strikeouts over the last month, but he’s also allowed a .250 ISO and wOBA of .374 to his previous 39 lefties. Lefties are hitting a .300 ISO and wOBA of .438 this season against Lynn. So that’s where you can attack him.

The Twins have a lot of players that will strike out at a high rate, but if one of those lefties in the lineup can get ahold of one, they’ll send a ball or two over the fence.

Edouard Julien has the best chance. He has hit a .368 ISO and wOBA of .483 against righties last month. He’s also minimized ground balls and has hit 33.3% of fly balls and line drives over the previous month. On top of that, Julien has hit 55.6% of hard contact against righties and has hit a barrel percentage of nearly 30%.

Julien is red-hot at the plate and should keep going against Lynn. Let’s take Julien to earn at least two total bases in tonight’s ball game.

Atlanta Braves vs. Milwaukee Brewers

Michael Soroka will take the hill for the Braves tonight. Soroka’s return has been hot and cold this year. He’s been able to keep fly balls down and has limited walks, but he’s still allowed a .235 ISO and wOBA of .362 to his last 20 righties.

The Brewers aren’t always the best offense. But Willy Adames will bat third and has hit a .279 ISO and wOBA of .313 against his last 69 righties faced.

Adames is the only right-handed batter hitting with high power against righties in the last month for the Brewers. He’s minimized ground balls to 25% and has hit 39.6% of fly balls and line drives against righties in the last 30 days. He’s also hit nearly 40% of hard contact and has a 14.6% barrel percentage against righties.

Meanwhile, Soroka has given up 50% of line drives to his last 20 righties and has only earned 25% of ground balls. This is an excellent matchup for Adames. Soroka is giving up a high barrel percentage to righties and allowing 50% of hard contact in the last 30 days.

Johan Oviedo had a high-strikeout game in his last matchup, but it’s unlikely this time around. Oviedo has allowed a .306 ISO and a wOBA of .377 to his last 42 lefties. He’s also struck out just 11.9% of lefties the previous month.

Meanwhile, Shohei Ohtani has hit a .388 ISO and wOBA of .446 against his last 53 righties. You know where this is going.

Ohtani has struck out at a high rate against righties. But Oviedo typically isn’t a threat for high strikeouts against lefties. Ohtani has slugged 36.4% of line drives and fly balls. He’s also kept ground balls down to 36.4% as well.

The craziest stat of them all is Ohtani’s hard-hit percentage: he’s hit 72.7% of hard-hit balls in the last month against righties. Nearly every three of four balls put into play is a hard-hit ball from Ohtani’s bat.

Meanwhile, Oviedo has allowed a 46.9% hard-hit rate from lefties in the last 30 days and has given up an 18.8% barrel percentage to lefties over the previous 30 days. Let’s take Ohtani to earn at least two total bases on the same night he’s pitching. He’s the MVP.
