Cam Coleman #8 of the Auburn Tigers celebrates after scoring a touchdown during the first half of their game against the Texas A&M Aggies

Good news, college students: It’s never been easier to score on campus. College football teams have posted an average of 30.5 points per game heading into Week 4, up from 28.7 points last year – and Over bettors have taken advantage, going 129-119 (52.0%) across the NCAAF odds board.

That means there’s never been a better time to hammer the Over for your college football player props. We’ve locked in three of the tastiest targets from the early Week 4 NCAAF lines; as with last week’s football picks, we kick off with a starting quarterback from one of this week’s marquee matchups.

Jackson Arnold Over 175.5 Passing Yards (-115) at Caesars

Auburn Tigers vs. Oklahoma Sooners – Saturday, September 20, 3:30 PM EDT

The Sooners (3-0 SU, 2-1 ATS) must have been doing something wrong with Arnold. He’s played his best football since transferring from Oklahoma – yes, in three non-conference games for Auburn (3-0 SU, 1-2 ATS), and Jackson Arnold only threw for 108 yards in that first game against Baylor. But that was because Arnold was busy gashing the No. 72-ranked defense in college (according to this week’s F+ Ratings at BCF Toys) for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 16 carries.

The Sooners (No. 4 on defense) will presumably make life harder for Arnold this Saturday, but they’re also 6.5-point home faves at press time, which means Auburn is more likely to be playing from behind, thus requiring more from Arnold’s arm than his feet.

Cam Coleman Over 56.5 Receiving Yards (-115) at Caesars

Auburn Tigers vs. Oklahoma Sooners – Saturday, September 20, 3:30 PM EDT

As we did last week, we’re handcuffing the quarterback from our first pick with one of his receivers – and it could be any of Auburn’s three starters: WR-X Cam Coleman (10 catches, 149 yards, 1 TD), WR-Z Horatio Fields (10 catches, 88 yards, 1 TD), or WR-H Eric Singleton Jr. (13 catches, 149 yards, 2 TD). You might want to bet on all three going over their posted totals if you’re trying to hide your sharpness from the books.

Coleman is our value pick, though. Singleton (Georgia Tech) and Fields (Wake Forest) arrived with plenty of fanfare when they emerged from the transfer portal, but Coleman might be the most talented of the three

Chase Jenkins Over 14.5 Pass Attempts (-125) at Caesars

Rice Owls vs. Charlotte 49ers – Thursday, September 17, 7:30 PM EDT

The Owls (2-1 SU, 1-2 ATS) are 2.5-point road faves for Thursday night’s ESPN broadcast, and of all the Rice players, Chase Jenkins is the one guy pegged to go over his player prop totals. We’re recommending Pass Attempts for the most betting value; casual fans tend to prefer Touchdown Passes and Passing Yards, and the projections we’re looking at do suggest smaller edges there for this particular matchup.

Pass Attempts also lower your variance by making it less important whether Jenkins actually completes those passes. He’s looking at a fairly low total in head coach Scott Abell’s option offense, after attempting nine, 12 and 16 passes in the first three games. Expect something close to that last number versus Charlotte’s defense, which saw 50, 25 and 49 pass attempts to start their season.
