Expert College Football Picks for Week 14

The cover for this College football picks week 14 article shows John Gazzaniga #13 of the Alabama Crimson Tide giving a stiff arm to Jesse Garza #49 of the Eastern Illinois Panthers.

On Saturday, for our college football picks Week 14, we have three highly anticipated games and, just like that, the regular season is over.

It feels as though it just began, and suddenly bowl season awaits, along with the final CFP rankings, which will determine the top 12 teams that will vie for a national championship.

Last week, this column went 3-0 against the number, and this week’s best college football picks include three games, all with ranked opponents trying desperately to remain in the College Football Playoff discussion. We begin with a classic noontime clash between No. 1 Ohio State and No. 18 Michigan, known as The Game.

Although that is the marquee matchup, we also found moneymaking opportunities later on with a midafternoon battle between two SEC powers, the upstart No. 14 Vanderbilt Commodores, as they travel to Knoxville to take on the 20th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers.

And what would Saturdays during college football season be without checking out a game in which No. 10 Alabama is playing, particularly against their archrivals from Auburn in the annual Iron Bowl?

NCAAF Picks Week 14 At-A-Glance

We have shopped for the sharpest odds and have done our research to reveal our college football picks for Week 14.

This week, our best college football picks are as follows:

  • Michigan +11 ½
  • Vanderbilt +3 ½
  • Alabama -5 ½

Let’s start with The Game between Ohio State and Michigan as we determine the best value for the final week of the college football regular season.

Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Michigan Wolverines (+11 ½)

Saturday, November 29, 2025 – 12:00 PM ET

There are no other annual college football games more hotly anticipated than the Big Ten regular season finale between Ohio State and Michigan. In fact, all you have to do is utter two words—The Game—and fans know precisely what you’re talking about and why.

It’s college football’s biggest rivalry, and it only becomes amplified when both teams are nationally ranked, as they are this year, with the Buckeyes checking in as the No. 1 team in the nation with a perfect 11-0 record, while the Wolverines enter with a 9-2 mark.

Look, it’s easy to get seduced into betting on Ohio State, especially considering they are a veritable ATM at the betting windows, boasting a 9-1-1 ATS mark this season.

However, this is a game like no other, and Michigan has won and covered in the last four meetings between the schools, including last year when the Wolverines were 19 ½ point underdogs and wound up winning 13-10 in what was a defensive battle that no one saw coming.

The squares will argue that the Buckeyes are bent on revenge, and if they win, no one will be surprised, including me. But the oddsmakers understand that this spread is higher than it should be, considering Michigan is No. 20 in the nation and is playing at its home field.

However, there is no line too big for the squares, but if it becomes too inflated, the sharps will pounce on the underdog, so the books have to keep this spread somewhat kosher. This line may fall from this early week writing, but right now, we’re getting a generous 11 ½ point head start at Caesars.

Expert Pick: Michigan +11 ½ (-110) at Caesars

Vanderbilt Commodores vs. Tennessee Volunteers (-3.5)

Saturday, November 29, 2025 – 03:30 PM ET

The former laughingstock of the SEC, Vanderbilt, is now shutting up the critics with a 9-2 record and is an impressive 8-2-1 against the spread. The Commodores will have something to prove after losing their last six meetings with the Vols, and that is going to happen on Saturday.

The oddsmakers have the wrong favorite in this game. Last week it was the Yellow Jackets, and this week it’s the Vols. This Vanderbilt squad is built differently than the others, and it starts with their head coach on the sidelines and their quarterback, Diego Pavia, on the field of battle.

Conversely, Tennessee is the proverbial bully in the playground. They beat up the weak ones and get beaten up by the tough kids.

The Vols have failed to cover in six of their last eight games, while Vandy is 4-0-1 ATS over their last five weeks. Lastly, how is Tennessee’s 103rd-ranked pass defense going to contain Pavia and the Commodores’ 10th-ranked aerial attack? I don’t know either. Bet the road hound in this one.

Expert Pick: Vanderbilt +3½ (-110) at Caesars

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Auburn Tigers (+5.5)

Saturday, November 29, 2025 – 07:30 PM EDT

This annual SEC battle between the Crimson Tide and the Tigers shows the hosts as 5 ½ -point underdogs, and for good reason. The Tigers check in with a disappointing 5-6 record with no hope of the CFP and perhaps not even a bowl game in their future.

Meanwhile, Alabama is 9-2, ranked No. 10, and a loss here would likely oust them from the CFP. That’s just not happening, especially losing its chance for a national title to a middling archrival like Auburn in an annual game with its own name—the Iron Bowl.

The Tide rebounded from a crushing 23-21 defeat to Oklahoma by trouncing Eastern Illinois, 56-0, and covering the 50 ½ point impost. Alabama did precisely what it was supposed to do against an outclassed squad, but they will have a much sterner task ahead of them on Saturday.

However, after losing six of their last seven games, Auburn had a cupcake of their own and thrashed their CFS opponent, Mercer, 62-17. Again, the Tigers did what was expected and nothing more, much like the Tide last week.

However, Alabama owns a lethal passing attack, while Auburn ranks 89th in that category, allowing over 241 aerial yards per game. Defensively, Alabama bests Auburn’s offense in every major statistical category. Rivalry or not, this is shaking out to be a double-digit win for the Tide.

Expert Pick: Alabama -5½ (-110) at Caesars
