Giants Team Props: Is Brian Daboll Down Bad?

Once upon a time, the 2022 New York Giants were 6-1 and that stretch of close wins combined with an eventual wild card win in Minnesota secured a bag for quarterback Daniel Jones and a Coach of the Year award for Brian Daboll.

Flash forward to 2025 and Jones has already been moved to another team, and Daboll could be on the way out if things don’t get better this year. It’s hard to be optimistic when his offense has struggled this much for years now, and the Giants’ solution at quarterback was to sign damaged goods in Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston at discount prices, and then they drafted Jaxson Dart in the 1st round.

But the Giants are favored to finish last in this division, and Daboll has already gone from 9 to 6 to 3 wins – the wrong direction. If the Knicks can fire Tom Thibodeau for winning over 50 games and reaching the Eastern Conference Finals, Daboll can’t last much longer in New York at this pace.

At Bet365, the Giants (+20000) are tied with the Browns and Titans for the longest odds to win Super Bowl LX. That’s not even on the radar right now. We’re just going to figure out if they can win a handful of games or not. But first, let’s look at the best prop picks at the top-rated sportsbooks.

Picks Summary:

  • Malik Nabers Over 1150.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
  • Malik Nabers Over 7.5 Receiving Touchdowns (+100)
  • 2025 Giants Under 5.5 Wins (-150)
  • 2025 NFC East Exact Position – New York Giants – 4th (-190)

National Football Conference Odds

Malik Nabers

  • Over/Under 1150.5 Receiving Yards

The brightest spot for New York’s offense is Malik Nabers, the No. 6 pick in the 2024 draft. He looked the part of a No. 1 wide receiver right away as a rookie, and despite missing 2 full games, he finished with 109 catches for 1,204 yards and 7 touchdowns.

That was with some poor quarterback play supporting him in Daniel Jones, Drew Lock, and Tommy DeVito. No matter what you think of the quarterbacks in New York this year, they should collectively be a better group for Nabers to play with in 2025.

That’s why his yardage (over/under 1150.5 yards) is his best receiving prop to go over for. Catches can be a style of play that may not be as conducive as 2024 when they forced him a lot of short passes. Touchdowns can also be random. But yardage? Nabers can get open at any depth level and he’s solid with the ball in his hands.

If Russell Wilson is the primary quarterback, then Nabers can be his D.K. Metcalf like he had in Seattle. It also helps that the Giants didn’t end up drafting Travis Hunter, so there’s not really a strong WR2 option in New York to take his volume away from him. The Giants are still rolling with Darius Slayton and Wan’Dale Robinson.

If Wilson doesn’t pan out for his 4th team since 2021, then Jameis Winston is obviously someone who can sling it down the field and put up prolific yardage numbers. He helped Jerry Jeudy to a career year in Cleveland last year. That’s a good connection for Nabers too, and with Dart, the rookie, let’s just assume the Giants make him a red-shirt rookie for 2025.

Nabers should improve on his rookie season, hopefully stay healthier, and finish over in yards.

NFL Pick: Malik Nabers Over 1150.5 Receiving Yards (-110) at Bet365

Malik Nabers

  • Over/Under 7.5 Receiving Touchdowns

A close 2nd to his yardage, Malik Nabers going over 7.5 touchdowns also looks solid for 2025. He had 7 touchdowns in 15 games last year, and again, the quarterback play showed his ability to overcome the situation:

Nabers caught touchdowns of 3, 4, and 5 yards from Daniel Jones, so he showed he can do the red-zone plays if they give him a chance.

Nabers also caught touchdowns of 31, 45, and 59 yards from Drew Lock, so he can score on YAC plays and deep balls as well if the quarterback play is better, and this is an area where Wilson (moon balls) and Winston (gunslinger) can really help.

Nabers even had a 23-yard touchdown from Tim Boyle against the Ravens, so he may be quarterback-proof.

The high expected volume of targets and yards makes Nabers a good bet to improve by at least 1 touchdown over his 2024 where he missed 2 full games. Say what you will about Wilson and Winston being washed up, but they should throw more than the paltry 13 touchdowns the 2024 Giants had in 17 games.

Nabers will lead the team with over 7.5 of those scoring tosses.

NFL Pick: Malik Nabers Over 7.5 Receiving Touchdowns (+100) at Bet365

2025 Giants Regular Season Wins

The 2025 Giants currently have the following odds at Bet365 for their season win total:

  • Over 5.5 wins (+120)
  • Under 5.5 wins (-150)

The Giants upgraded their quarterback position a little, and they have some young stars from the draft last year that could be better this year, including Tyrone Tracy at running back. The defense added Abdul Carter, the top pass-rushing prospect in the 2025 draft.

It’s very probable this team improves on its 3-14 record as Wilson can still pull out a random game-winning drive to help the Giants win some of the close games they lost with Daboll’s other quarterbacks outside of that fluky 6-1 start in 2022.

But this tough schedule has the Giants juiced to finish under 5.5 wins, which would be a very disappointing season and likely the end for Daboll on the job after 4 years. The NFC East has to play the AFC West and NFC North, or divisions which had 6 playoff teams last year. Not to mention the NFC finalists (Eagles and Commanders) are in this division, and Dak Prescott (Cowboys) has owned New York since 2017.

When you start fishing for wins for the 2025 Giants, it’s not easy:

  • Shocking the Chargers at home in an early body clock game for Los Angeles is always possible.
  • A trip to New Orleans (Week 5) is one of the most winnable games on the schedule.
  • Maybe a Monday night in New England (Week 13) is a game this team can steal.
  • Maybe Minnesota falters again to the Daboll-led Giants (Week 16) with J.J. McCarthy taking over for Sam Darnold.
  • A trip to the Raiders (Week 17) is another possibility with a team that brought in Pete Carroll and Geno Smith.

Those are some maybes as nothing is a stone-cold lock for this team to win in 2025. The odds don’t feel like the best you can do, but I’d take the under 5.5 wins for your NFL picks. The schedule is just too tough and Wilson and Winston don’t inspire much confidence these days.

NFL Pick: 2025 Giants Under 5.5 Wins (-150) at Bet365

2025 Giants – NFC East Finish

These are the odds at Bet365 for where the 2025 Giants will finish in the NFC East division:

  • 1st (+2800)
  • 2nd (+800)
  • 3rd (+250)
  • 4th (-190)

While the NFC East hasn’t had a repeat winner since the Eagles in 2001-04, the Giants going from 3-14 to 1st in this division would be insane. Russell Wilson would for sure lock up a 1st-ballot Hall of Fame bust if he did that.

But we shouldn’t have to worry about the Eagles sliding into last place during their title defense. As for the Commanders, there’s a lot to love there with Jayden Daniels already blowing away expectations last year, and they added talent like Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil.

Dallas is usually good for 7-plus wins – enough to stay out of the top of the draft order. Dallas also has a better roster than the Giants with some more proven players when you compare Micah Parsons to a wanna-be Micah Parsons in Abdul Carter, the Penn State rookie. Plus, Prescott is almost unbeatable against the Giants in his career and he’s back healthy.

The Giants are one of the season’s best bets for a team to finish last place in its division. Looks like the next coach will have to prep Jaxson Dart in New York.

NFL Pick: 2025 NFC East Exact Position – New York Giants – 4th (-190) at Bet365
