Jake Paul is still fighting, I know, what a drag… and his next bout could be his most publicized one so far, despite the negatives.

Is it truly possible for Mike Tyson to beat Jake Paul with a 31-year age gap? If you’re looking for the boxing odds for Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson, you’ve found the right place. Below, you’ll find all the information you need regarding the big fight, and you might be surprised at the current underdog pricing at top-rated sportsbooks.

Even more surprising were Tyson’s comments on The Sean Hannity Show, when he said that he was “scared to death” about this fight. However, he went on to explain how that is a good thing for his motivation. Not like it seems that he needs any extra fuel to take on this fight. Let’s go ahead and get into the weeds.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Odds

Currently, most of the top US betting sites have yet to put up odds for this exhibition fight, except for the UK branch of Bet365. However, DraftKings Sportsbook head oddsmaker, Johnny Avello, gave his early odds, back in March, as per USA Today:

  • Jake Paul: -360
  • Mike Tyson: +300

The fight is still far off and since Avello offered his thoughts, the market has certainly moved. So, for now, let’s check out the current odds provided for it by Bet365* (check our Bet365 Review), as of April 5th. *UK branch

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Betting preview

In 2020, on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr., The Problem Child stunned the boxing world by knocking out former NBA star Nate Robinson. At that time, there was a distinct lack of precedent for a social media sensation with millions of followers becoming full-time boxers, but Paul stuck it out, and four years on, “The Problem Child” continues to give us problems.

Some still fault social media stars who have become boxers, but no one can deny the attention and pay-per-view sales for Paul’s fights.

Until this point, his battle last year with Tommy Fury was the most respectable and largest in his career. That’s due to the fact that Paul is facing off against Mike Tyson, a former world heavyweight champion and a man widely considered to be one of the greatest fighters of all time.

Mike Tyson

When Tyson was at the top of his game, he was a formidable heavyweight fighter and a global icon of dread. However, he is almost 60 years old, Paul’s senior, and hasn’t fought professionally since 2005.

Whether this battle is a professional bout or just an exhibition is anybody’s guess, but the aforementioned factors have placed ‘Iron’ Mike as the betting underdog.

That said, for a fighter such as Mike Tyson, who will be two years shy of 60, a 42% implied probability isn’t too bad. The training footage of Tyson will undoubtedly give hope to his supporters and Paul’s haters, but are we grasping onto a time in the past that no longer exists?

Jake Paul

Paul is taller than Tyson. He is 6 feet and 1 inch tall, and his arm span is 76 inches. Tyson’s height is 5 feet 10 inches and his arm span is 71 inches.

This may not be a challenge for Tyson, though, since almost all of his adversaries during his heyday were taller than him, with the exception of one. He had a remarkable record of 56 wins and just six losses.

Tyson’s age, however, is his primary problem heading into this contest and is likely the main factor driving the betting odds to side with Paul.
