After a 94-86 loss to the Indiana Fever, the Dallas Wings will play the second game of a back-to-back against the Washington Mystics tonight.
The Wings couldn’t defend in their latest game, allowing a Caitlin Clark-less Fever team to score 94 points still. Still, the offense showed up as Paige Bueckers tallied 27 points on 50% shooting.
On the other hand, the Mystics are more rested. They earned a 94-83 win over the Aces on the road last time out. With that win, Washington is 8-8 and has won four of their previous five games.
Washington is no easy out anymore.

Paige Bueckers Is Getting Comfortable!
The No. 1 overall pick in the latest WNBA Draft has scored at least 20 points in four of her last five games. Yes, Paige Bueckers is on a rampage, scoring at least 18 points in 54% of games as a rookie.
Bueckers scored 27 points last night against the Fever and drew nine fouls in that game. She added seven foul shots and added nine field goals on 18 attempts.
Meanwhile, she’ll take on a Washington squad that ranks 10th in the WNBA in points allowed to shooting guards. Bueckers has a great matchup, despite having to play back-to-back games today.
After all, Bueckers has shot 49.2% from the field over the last ten games. She’s not the best three-point shooter, but drilled two of three against the Fever yesterday. Bueckers is trending in the right direction. Let’s take advantage.

Don’t Take The Bait!
Washington’s Shakira Austin grabbed 13 rebounds against the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday. However, she’s only hauled in at least nine rebounds in 31% of games this season.
Beyond that, Austin has averaged 7.4 rebounds per game against the Wings over the last ten games and has hit this line in just one of those five games.
Austin has only added 5.2 defensive rebounds per game over the last ten. She’s had more success on the offensive glass. However, Dallas ranks No. 1 in the WNBA in rebounds allowed to centers this season. That’s not so appealing for Austin after all.
Plus, while Austin has grabbed at least four offensive rebounds in three of her last four, Austin has still grabbed only 2.4 offensive rebounds per game over the previous ten.
She’s also added at least nine rebounds in only four of her last ten and 35% of her previous 20 games. She just had a big game against the Aces and now has inflated numbers. We’ll fade those numbers and grab the Under 8.5 rebounds for Austin in this game.

Li Yueru’s Minutes Are Increasing, But…
The Dallas Wings have given Li Yueru at least 30 minutes in back-to-back games. Still, she only scored seven points against the Fever after taking only seven shot attempts in that game.
She’s a center who has shot 28.5% from the field over the last ten games. Yueru is capable of hitting threes. As a matter of fact, she’s hit 25% during the previous ten games, but that’s nothing to write home about.
Meanwhile, the Mystics rank 7th in points allowed to centers. That’s in the middle of the WNBA. However, Yueru has hit this line in just 14% of games this year and has added at least ten points in none of her last five games against the Mystics. She has averaged below three points in those games.
While yes, she’s getting more playing time and developing, she’s clearly not consistent enough yet.
Consider taking Li Yueru to add below 9.5 points tonight at -150.
