OddsTrader is featuring NFL Odds Week 2 from all the top-notch US sportsbooks in the industry, and below we have analysis on some of the marquee matchups like divisional rivalries between Chicago and Detroit, and Buffalo and the New York Jets, while a major showdown awaits between Philadelphia and Kansas City in a late Sunday afternoon tilt.

Bears vs. Lions (-4.5 at Caesars)

The NFC North is one of the toughest divisions in the game, and this matchup has all the markings of a bloody battle in the making. The Lions did not cover themselves in glory in their opener against the Packers, dropping a 27-13 decision, but if they still have any fire left from last season, we will likely see it front and center against their archrivals from the Windy City.

It appears as though the public is thinking the same thing, as this line has edged upward ever so slightly from its Detroit -4 ½ opener to where it stands at -5 at some of the best mobile sportsbooks in the nation. But if you are inclined to get down on the Lions, a team that has defeated the Bears in five of their last six meetings, including a 34-17 thrashing of the Bears at Soldier Field in which the Lions covered as 6 ½ point road chalk, then you may opt to take +5 at some of the other shops.

Bills vs. Jets (+7.5 at BetMGM)

I’m not sure if the Bills have any gas left in the tank after their stunning 41-40 come-from-behind win over the Ravens on Sunday night, but if they do, they will need all of it to keep up with a Jets team whose offense has awakened this season after dropping 32 points on the Steelers in what resulted in a two-point loss.

The Bills have defeated their AFC East rivals from New York in eight of their last 10 meetings, including their last three. When these teams last met, Buffalo smoked the Jets, 40-14, in their last regular-season meeting in December. It was an easy 10 ½ point cover for Josh Allen and the Bills, but they would see their Super Bowl dreams dashed only a few weeks later when they were ousted by the Chiefs in the AFC title game.

The line on this is a solid Buffalo -7 across the board, but if you shop at BetMGM, you can get the visitors plus a half-point more than all the rest at +7 ½ at the iconic sportsbook and only pay -115 versus -110 everywhere else. That hook may be worth it!

Eagles vs. Chiefs (Eagles -1 at BetMGM)

The Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles faced a stern test in their opener against NFC East rival Dallas, but came away with a 24-20 victory. Now the Eagles will have to face last season’s Super Bowl opponents in the hostile territory of Arrowhead Stadium.

The last time these teams met, Philadelphia left no doubt as to which team was the best in the league, walking away with a relatively easy 40-22 victory. But now the season is all shiny and new, allowing the Chiefs to exact some revenge in front of their home crowd on Sunday.

Philadelphia opened at -1, and that point spread has not moved as of this early Week 2 writing. Nevertheless, some believe there will be some sharp action on the Chiefs if the line edges upwards, but others doubt that Kansas City has what it takes this season after dropping a 27-21 decision to the Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
