NFL Odds for Week 8: Oct 23-29

Aaron Rodgers #8 of the Pittsburgh Steelers celebrates after throwing a touchdown pass against the Cincinnati Bengals.

It’s good to take a break sometimes. Things are a bit quieter than usual with our live NFL odds; Week 8 of the 2025 regular season has six teams taking their bye, up from just two in Week 7. But that still leaves us with a baker’s dozen of games to consider for our next batch of football picks – and most of the league’s marquee clubs will be in action.

Join us and take a look at the NFL odds Week 8 before placing your bets this week!

NFL Odds Week 8 At-a-Glance

This week’s most hotly anticipated matchup will be on Sunday Night Football, but let’s keep it chronological for this week’s NFL odds, starting with the biggest divisional rivalry of them all.

N.Y. Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles (PHI -7)

Sunday, October 26 – 1:00 PM EDT

NFL Network voted this the No. 1 rivalry in league history, stretching back to the founding of the Eagles (5-2 SU, 4-3 ATS) in 1933. It’s been less competitive recently; while Philly fans are still basking in the glow of Super Bowl victory, the Giants (2-5 SU, 4-3 ATS) are well on their way to another losing season, their eighth in the past nine years.

That didn’t stop Big Blue from beating the Eagles 34-17 in Week 6 as 7.5-point home dogs. And the reports we’re scanning show considerable sharp action on New York, enough to drive them all the way down from +10.5 at the open. Under 43.5 seems to be gaining some traction as well.

Green Bay Packers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (PIT +3)

Sunday, October 26 – 8:20 PM EDT

Aaron Rodgers will face his former team this Sunday night when the Packers (4-1-1 SU, 2-4 ATS) hit the North Shore to take on the Steelers (4-2 SU, 3-3 ATS). It might be the busiest game we’ve seen all year in terms of betting; Green Bay has already bumped up to -3.5 at some sportsbooks as we go to press, after opening at -2.5 on the earliest overseas NFL lines.

There’s even bigger money landing on Pittsburgh +150, and a serious pile of cash on Over 44.5, up from 43.5 at the open. It’ll be the first time Rodgers has played against the Packers, so we don’t have any data to back up the motivation angle for this contest – but the four-time MVP does lead the league this year with 8.1% of his passes resulting in touchdowns.

Washington Commanders vs. Kansas City Chiefs (KC -10)

Monday, October 27 – 8:15 PM EDT

This would have been a much more compelling matchup had Washington (3-4 SU and ATS) not lost starting quarterback Jayden Daniels to a hamstring injury in last week’s embarrassing 44-22 loss to Dallas (-1.5 at home). You might think the Commanders would be the sharp pick with a quality backup QB like Marcus Mariota (70.5 QBR in three games), but no, it’s Kansas City getting the early nod after opening at -9.5.

Meanwhile, some big money has poured in on Under 48.5, although not enough to budge the opening total just yet. There’s nothing foreboding in Monday’s weather forecasts, and Kansas City just got No. 1 WR Rashee Rice back in uniform; Rice caught two touchdown passes this past Sunday as they blanked Las Vegas (+13.5 away) 31-0, which did go Under the posted total of 45.

All that extra public attention on Rodgers makes that Packers-Steelers game our tastiest target for extracting some betting value – especially on the Over, given how mediocre Green Bay’s defense is (Micah Parsons notwithstanding).

If you agree, you might want to get your bets in now before the casuals push that total even higher; keep an eye on our live NFL odds week 8 to verify which direction the lines are moving.
