Cincinnati optioned Legumina to Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Legumina worked a scoreless inning of relief in the Reds' win over the Mariners on Tuesday, but he carries a rough 5.68 ERA, 1.97 WHIP and 11:9 K:BB in 12.2 major-league innings this season. Lyon Richardson was recalled in a corresponding roster move and will get the start in Wednesday's series finale versus Seattle.

Legumina was recalled from Triple-A Louisville on Monday, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
The Reds need a fresh relief arm after their bullpen was overused in Sunday's loss to the Cubs. Legumina holds a 6.17 ERA in 10 relief appearances with the big club this season.

Activated and optioned
The Reds reinstated Legumina (ankle) from the 15-day injured list Monday and optioned him to Triple-A Louisville.
ANALYSIS
Legumina struck out two over four shutout innings across four appearances between the rookie-level Arizona Complex League and the Triple-A club during his rehab assignment, but the Reds didn't have room from him in the bullpen even though he had moved past a right ankle contusion. He'll stick around in Louisville but should rank near the top of the list for a call-up the next time Cincinnati requires an extra right-handed reliever.

Legumina (shoulder) shifted his rehab assignment Tuesday from the Arizona Complex League to Triple-A Louisville.
ANALYSIS
Legumina retried all three batters he faced in his one appearance in the ACL. Seemingly recovered from a bout of shoulder discomfort that originally sent him to the injured list June 21, the 26-year-old right-hander could be an option again for the Reds' bullpen by the end of this week.

Legumina (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with the Reds' Arizona Coast League affiliate Friday.
ANALYSIS
Legumina has been on the shelf since mid-June with right shoulder discomfort but has been throwing without issue lately. He is expected to require about a week and a half's worth of rehab games before being an option for the Reds' bullpen.

Legumina (shoulder) threw a side session Tuesday, MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Legumina is currently on a throwing program at the team's training complex in Goodyear (Ariz.). The program was interrupted July 18 when the right-hander was hit on the head by an errant throw, which forced him to skip a session. Reds manager David Bell estimated Legumina might need up to 10 days on a rehab assignment before he could be activated.

ANALYSIS
Legumina just returned from the 15-day IL on June 11 following an ankle injury, but he'll now be unavailable for a couple weeks while nursing a sore throwing shoulder. The Reds called up Alan Busenitz from Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday to replace Legumina in their bullpen.

Legumina will return to the major-league roster for the first time since he was placed on the 15-day IL on May 14. The right-hander appeared in two games with Triple-A Louisville on his rehab assignment, allowing a solo homer while striking out four batters over two innings. Legumina will replace Kevin Herget in the big-league bullpen after Herget was optioned to Louisville on Sunday.

Legumina is recovered from the right ankle contusion that sent him to the injured list in mid-May and could be an option again for the Reds' bullpen by the weekend. He had pitched to a 4.35 ERA with nine strikeouts in 10.1 innings of relief for Cincinnati prior to the IL stint.

ANALYSIS
Days after adding him to the 40-man roster, Minnesota has dealt Legumina for immediate help. The 6-foot-2 righty is 25 and had an ERA close to 5.00 at the Double-A level last season, but Legumina has shown strikeout potential as well as versatility pitching between the rotation and bullpen.
