Returns from IL
The Marlins reinstated Brazoban (hamstring/hip) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Brazoban has been on the injured list since Aug. 14 due to a strained left hamstring and also was battling a left hip impingement. He gave up three runs over 2.2 innings during his rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville and will serve as a bullpen depth piece as Miami fights for a playoff spot. Tanner Scott was placed on the paternity list in a corresponding move.

Set for rehab assignment
Brazoban (hamstring/hip) is beginning a rehab assignment Thursday with Triple-A Jacksonville, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Out since mid-August due to a left hamstring strain and left hip impingement, Brazoban might become an option again for the Marlins' bullpen leading into the final week of the regular season. He'd registered a 4.29 ERA and 60:31 K:BB across 56.2 innings prior to landing on the injured list.

Throws off mound
Brazoban (hamstring/hip) threw a 35-pitch bullpen session Monday, MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's the third time Brazoban has thrown from the bump since he landed on the injured list in mid-August with a left hamstring strain and left hip impingement. It would seem as though the reliever has a good chance to make it back before the end of the season, but a timeline for his activation is uncertain.

Placed on 15-day IL
Brazoban was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday with a left hamstring strain, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Brazoban suffered the injury while working in relief Sunday against the Yankees and will be sidelined through at least Aug. 29. Bryan Hoeing is joining the Marlins in a corresponding roster move.

Rejoins big club
Brazoban was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander was just demoted Thursday but will quickly rejoin the MLB roster since JT Chargois (ribs) was placed on the injured list. Brazoban has made 45 appearances out of Miami's bullpen this season and has a 4.13 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 53:26 K:BB over 52.1 innings.

Optioned to Triple-A
Miami optioned Brazoban to Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Brazoban was charged with two earned runs while failing to record an out in his most recent appearance Wednesday versus the Phillies. Devin Smeltzer will take his spot in the Marlins' bullpen ahead of Thursday's series finale.

Picks up third win
Brazoban (3-1) recorded the win over the Cardinals on Monday, giving up a hit and a walk without being charged with a run in an inning of relief. He struck out two.
ANALYSIS
After Andrew Nardi walked the leadoff hitter in the top of the seventh inning, Brazoban came out of the bullpen and allowed the inherited runner to score to give St. Louis a 4-2 lead, but Miami rallied with three runs in the bottom of the frame. Since rejoining the Marlins' bullpen in mid-June, the right-hander hasn't allowed an earned run in nine innings, posting a 0.78 WHIP and 8:2 K:BB over that stretch with a remarkable three wins and a hold in seven appearances.

Collects win over Bucs
Brazoban (2-1) picked up the win in Thursday's 6-4 victory over the Pirates by retiring the only batter he faced.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander took the mound with two outs and a runner aboard in the eighth inning with the Marlins down 4-1 and got Connor Joe to ground out, making Brazoban the pitcher of record when his offense broke out for five runs in the bottom of the frame. Since his return to the majors following a brief demotion to Triple-A Jacksonville earlier this month, the 33-year-old has delivered three scoreless appearances with a 3:0 K:BB over 3.1 innings, getting credited with a win in two of them.

Recalled from Jacksonville
The Marlins recalled Brazoban from Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
With Edward Cabrera (shoulder) headed for the 15-day injured list, Brazoban will join the Marlins' pitching staff to provide depth to the bullpen. The 33-year-old righty began the season strong, but holds an 8.71 ERA and 2.23 WHIP across his last nine appearances. He's capable of working in multiple innings, but Brazoban offers very little fantasy value.

Optioned to Triple-A
Brazoban was optioned Tuesday to Triple-A Jacksonville, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Archie Bradley will join the Marlins' bullpen in a corresponding move. Brazoban threw 32 pitches over two innings of relief in Monday's series opener at Seattle and wasn't going to be available for a bit. He holds a 4.01 ERA in 28 appearances this year with Miami.

Takes first loss
Brazoban (0-1) took the loss Thursday against the Rockies. He allowed a run on a hit and three walks while over one-third of an inning.
ANALYSIS
After the Marlins scored four runs in the top of the ninth to tie the game 6-6, Brazoban walked three of the first four batters he faced in the bottom half before Ezequiel Tovar ended the game with a walk-off base hit. It's been a struggle for Brazoban recently -- he's allowed at least one run in each of his last four appearances, allowing seven earned runs on nine hits over 3.1 innings in that span. The 33-year-old right-hander now sports a 4.05 ERA with a 1.54 WHIP and 30:11 K:BB across 26.2 innings this season.
May 5, 2023
Dominant relief outing
Brazoban gave up two hits and struck out four in 1.1 scoreless innings of relief during Thursday's loss to Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
With the Marlins down 4-3 in the sixth inning, Brazoban took over from Jesus Luzardo and struck out Ronald Acuna to end the inning and strand a runner in scoring position, before striking out the side around a pair of singles in the seventh. Brazoban has been outstanding for the Marlins to begin 2023, posting a 2.37 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 23:3 K:BB through 19 innings with four holds. The right-hander has worked more than one inning in eight of his 13 appearances, and his ability to deliver bulk strikeouts and strong ratios gives him some fantasy value in NL-only formats even without a path to consistent saves.

Likely in Opening day bullpen
Brazoban appears to be on track for a spot on the Opening Day roster, Jordan McPherson of The Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
The 33-year-old right-hander made his big-league debut in 2022, posting a 3.09 ERA and 28.4 percent strikeout rate over 32 innings while averaging 97.2 mph with his fastball but also walking 14.9 percent of the batters he faced. Brazoban should work the middle innings for the Marlins, limiting his fantasy appeal despite his ability to miss bats.

Throws first bullpen session
Brazoban (visa issues) threw his first bullpen session in Marlins camp Thursday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Brazoban had a delayed arrival to spring training because of visa issues, but those were cleared up this past Tuesday and he said he felt "a lot closer than I thought I was going to feel" during his first official workout with the team. The 33-year-old should be ready to fill a long relief role for Miami come Opening Day.
Feb 28, 2023
Clears up visa issues
Brazoban has solved his visa issues and is expected to arrive at Marlins camp Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
There should still be plenty of time left on the spring training calendar for Brazoban to carve out a spot in the Opening Day bullpen. He appears to be slated for a long-relief role this year with Miami after registering a 3.09 ERA and 40:21 K:BB across his first 32 major-league innings in 2022.
Feb 24, 2023
Still yet to receive visa
Brazoban is still without a visa and remains away from the Marlins as spring training gets started, Craig Mish of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Brazoban has had a real tough time getting back to the states for the start of 2023 season and will continue to try and make his return to Miami ahead of Opening Day. If the 33-year-old cannot make it to camp relatively soon, he could lose his spot in the Marlins' bullpen this season. The right-hander appeared in 27 games with the Marlins last season, producing a serviceable 3.09 ERA and 1.47 WHIP with 40 strikeouts over 32 innings as a reliever.
Feb 17, 2023
Delayed start to camp
Brazoban has yet to report to spring training due to visa issues, Jordan McPherson of The Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
The 33-year-old right-hander made his MLB debut last season and was expected to compete for a low-leverage spot in the Marlins' bullpen this spring, but any significant delay could cost him that opportunity. Brazoban averaged 97.2 mph with his fastball and posted a solid 28.4 percent strikeout rate with a shaky 14.9 percent walk rate over 27 appearances for Miami in 2022, but he showed sharper control at Triple-A prior to his promotion.
