Doing it all at Double-A
Vivas is slashing .300/.404/.474 with 10 home runs, 13 steals and a 38:36 K:BB in 79 games for Double-A Tulsa.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old second baseman has been steady all season for the Drillers, and he could soon get a promotion to Triple-A. Vivas, who hits left-handed, has a 21.7 percent hard-hit rate and a 22.5 percent soft-hit rate, and he projects for below-average game power in the big leagues despite this strong showing in the Texas League.

Thriving in Double-A
Vivas is slashing .391/.473/.766 with four home runs, 10 doubles, a triple, 14 runs, 12 RBI and three stolen bases through 16 games with Double-A Tulsa.
ANALYSIS
Vivas hasn't generally ranked among the Dodgers' top 10 prospects to this point, but that could change if he continues to hit the way he is now. The 21-year-old has started his first stint at Double-A with a 16-game hitting streak, knocking multiple hits in eight of those contests. Vivas had already flashed a strong hit tool and a sharp eye at the plate coming into 2023, hitting .286 through his first three years in the minors and consistently posting strikeout rates in the low-to-mid-teens. He had topped out at 14 homers across 477 plate appearances in 2021 but is already well above that pace with four long balls this season.

Sent to minors camp
Vivas was optioned Monday to minor-league camp by the Dodgers.
ANALYSIS
Vivas needed to be optioned since he was added to the 40-man roster in November. The 22-year-old infielder spend the 2022 season with High-A Great Lakes while registering a .775 OPS along with 10 homers and two stolen bases. He'll likely report to Double-A Tulsa to begin 2023.
