Returns to action at Triple-A
Barrosa (hamstring) has started in five games since being activated from Triple-A Reno's 7-day injured list April 11, going 6-for-19 with a home run, a double, three walks, seven RBI and three runs.
ANALYSIS
Barrosa required only a brief stint on Reno's IL to begin the season while he worked his way back from the strained right hamstring he suffered in a Feb. 26 Cactus League game. Now that he's healthy again, the 22-year-old switch-hitting outfielder appears set to fill an everyday role for the Diamondbacks' top affiliate.

Will miss significant time
Barrosa (hamstring) will miss between four and six weeks, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Barrosa suffered a strained right hamstring while trying to track down a ball in the outfield. The 22-year-old is considered one of the organization's better defensive outfielders and has stolen double-digit bases the last three seasons.

Leaves Saturday's game
Barrosa was removed from Saturday's game due to hamstring tightness, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
ANALYSIS
Barrosa started in center field against the Rockies and walked in his only at-bat before being removed in the bottom of the second inning. He reached Double-A Amarillo and is not expected to be part of the MLB roster in 2023. Barrosa's best assets are defense and speed. He stole 26 bases (caught 12 times) over two minor-league stops in 2022.
