Nabs 12th straight start
Cabrera will start in right field and bat sixth in Monday's game against the Diamondbacks.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera will be making his 12th consecutive start Monday, with the 24-year-old having bounced between both corner-outfield spots during that time. Most of those starts have come while Everson Pereira was nursing a hamstring injury, but Cabrera will end up replacing a resting Giancarlo Stanton in the lineup Monday while Pereira returns to the lineup for his first start since Sept. 14. Dating back to Sept. 10, Cabrera is slashing .295/.367/.432 over a stretch of 12 games, so look for the Yankees to find ways to keep his hot bat in the lineup over the final week of the season.
Sep 17, 2023
Continues to show improvement
Cabrera went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-3 win against Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera had a five-game hitting streak on the line when he stepped to the plate in the eighth inning, and he was able to extend it to six with a solo blast to right field. The 24-year-old has lifted his season average 14 points during the streak, with three of his eight knocks over that span going for extra bases. Cabrera is still slashing a paltry .221/.295/.321 overall, but he's at least making a good late-season impression.
Sep 16, 2023
Records three hits, stolen base
Cabrera went 3-for-4 with a walk, a run, an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 7-5 victory versus the Pirates.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera scored the tying run after singling in the sixth inning and plated an insurance run with a single in the ninth. He finished with his fourth three-hit game of the season and his first since July 1. Cabrera is in the midst of a season-high five-game hitting streak, slashing .389/.500/1.022 with two doubles, two RBI, three runs, a steal and a 5:4 BB:K over that stretch.
Sep 10, 2023
On bench Sunday
Cabrera is not in the lineup Sunday against the Brewers.
ANALYSIS
Everson Pereira, Jasson Dominguez and Aaron Judge will start across the outfield for the Yankees as they take on right-hander Corbin Burnes. Cabrera, 24, has slashed just .219/.324/.219 in 37 plate appearances since being recalled Aug. 3 from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Aug 15, 2023
Swipes bag Monday
Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a run and a stolen base in a loss to Atlanta on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera got the start in left field and collected two hits out of the No. 9 spot in the lineup. The 24-year-old has been seeing sporadic playing time since being recalled from the minors Aug. 3, going 3-for-11 with five strikeouts over five contests. Cabrera is slashing .209/.270/.306 with four homers, 23 RBI, 28 runs and seven stolen bases in 227 plate appearances in the majors overall this season.
Aug 3, 2023
Recalled from Triple-A
The Yankees recalled Cabrera from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera is filling the 26-man roster spot left vacant by Anthony Rizzo, who has landed on the 10-day injured list with post-concussion syndrome. Cabrera, 24, carries a brutal .205/.266/.308 slash line through 215 plate appearances this season at the major-league level.
Jul 22, 2023
Optioned to Triple-A
The Yankees optioned Cabrera to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera went 0-for-3 with a strikeout Saturday versus the Royals and is batting just .205 with a .574 OPS in 215 plate appearances this season at the major-league level. Greg Allen (hip) or Jake Bauers (shoulder) could fill the vacant roster spot Sunday.
Jul 21, 2023
Sitting Friday
Cabrera will sit Friday against Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera will get a breather after he went 1-for-7 with a double, two RBI, a walk and five strikeouts while starting twice during the team's series with the Angels. Franchy Cordero will take over in left field and bat fifth in the series opener with the Royals.
Jul 17, 2023
Gets aboard four times
Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks, one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Sunday's 8-7 extra-innings loss to the Rockies.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera's playing time has been sparse since he returned to the Yankees' roster June 22. He's posted a pair of multi-hit efforts, but he's logged just 17 at-bats over 16 contests in that span. The utility man is at a .211/.271/.314 slash line with four home runs, 20 RBI, 26 runs scored and six stolen bases through 204 plate appearances overall.
Jun 22, 2023
Back with big club
Cabrera was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
ANALYSIS
Willie Calhoun (quad) is expected to be placed on the 10-day injured list, so Cabrera will take on a utility role in the short term. It's only been four days since Cabrera was optioned to Triple-A for the first time this season after posting a disappointing .190/.238/.298 slash line with four home runs and five steals in 60 games.
Jun 18, 2023
Sent down Sunday
Cabrera was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera served in a depth role for the Yankees over the past few weeks, and he's hit .190 with four homers, 19 runs, 18 RBI and five stolen bases over 60 games in the majors this year. However, he'll head to the minors since Harrison Bader (hamstring) is expected to be reinstated from the injured list Tuesday.
Jun 4, 2023
Homers in return
Cabrera homered in his only at-bat during a 6-3 victory against the Dodgers on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera was called up prior to the contest following a brief stay with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He came up as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning and put the icing on the cake of a Yankees win with a 404-foot solo blast. Cabrera had been in a 4-for-36 slide prior to being demoted Thursday, so this was a much-needed big hit. He could see some opportunities in center field with Harrison Bader (hamstring) and Greg Allen (hip) both on the IL, though Isiah Kiner-Falefa got the start there Saturday.
Jun 3, 2023
Recalled from Triple-A
The Yankees recalled Cabrera from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera heads back to the majors after being optioned to Triple-A by the Yankees on Thursday. The outfielder will take the roster spot of Greg Allen after Allen was placed on the injured list with a right hip flexor. Cabrera should see time in center with Harrison Bader and Allen both on the shelf, and he's capable of playing several other positions as well.
Jun 1, 2023
Sent down to Triple-A
Cabrera was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
The Yankees gave Cabrera plenty of chances at multiple positions, but his bat has just never got going this season, with the 24-year-old batting only .195/.246/.292. He'll head to SWB and try to get back on track.
Jun 1, 2023
Option imminent
The Yankees will option Cabrera to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.
ANALYSIS
As the Yankees prepare to reinstate Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring), Josh Donaldson (hamstring) and Tommy Kahnle (biceps) from the injured list, Cabrera will reportedly be one of the players headed to Triple-A as a result. Cabrera had been an everyday starter for the Yankees before a lengthy slump at the plate demoted him to a utility role. He will likely have to rediscover his swing in the minors before the Yankees allow him back on the major-league roster.
May 24, 2023
Losing out on starts
Cabrera is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera was playing on a near-everyday basis in the corner outfield for the first month of the season, but he appears to have transitioned into more of a utility role with Jake Bauers beginning to gain more traction in the lineup versus right-handed pitching. The 24-year-old will be on the bench Wednesday for the third time in the past four games.
May 15, 2023
Three hits, homer in loss
Cabrera went 3-for-4 with a homer, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's loss against Tampa Bay.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera got the Yankees on the board with a two-run shot off Zach Eflin in the third inning, his third homer of the year and second in six games. Cabrera has been swinging the bat well, going 5-for-9 in his last three games. He's slashing .220/.260/.339 with 15 RBI, 13 runs scored and five stolen bases through 128 plate appearances. Cabrera has played a fairly regular role in New York while Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) has been out.
May 13, 2023
Not in lineup
Cabrera will sit Saturday against the Rays.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera finds himself on the bench for the second time in three games. With a .196/.240/.295 slash line on the season, he hasn't made a strong case for everyday at-bats. Isiah Kiner-Falefa - who owns an even worse .187/.238/.213 line - will make his third start in four games in left field.
May 11, 2023
Sitting Thursday
Cabrera is not in the starting lineup Thursday versus the Rays.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera will get a breather after he went 1-for-10 with a two run home run, two runs scored, a walk and four strikeouts during the three-game series with the Athletics. Jake Bauers will take over for him in left field and bat sixth in the series opener with Tampa Bay.
May 9, 2023
Knocks second homer
Cabrera went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 7-2 win against the Athletics on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera produced the first scoring of the contest with a two-run shot to left field in the fifth inning. He also struck out twice in the win, but that hasn't been a big issue for him this season, as he's so far posted a respectable 19.8 percent strikeout rate. Cabrera's bigger concern has been getting on base -- he's walked just five times and has a poor .236 OBP through 111 plate appearances.
May 8, 2023
Reaches three times Sunday
Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's extra-inning loss to the Rays.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera's sacrifice fly in the fifth inning gave the Yankees a comfortable 6-0 lead, though Tampa Bay erased all of it by the end of the sixth. This was Cabrera's most promising performance at the plate in some time -- prior to Sunday, he hadn't logged a multi-hit effort in over three weeks. He's a perfect 5-for-5 on theft attempts this season but has otherwise struggled, slashing .202/.236/.283 with one homer, eight RBI, nine runs and a 5:20 BB:K over 107 plate appearances.
May 6, 2023
Sitting Saturday
Cabrera will be on the bench Saturday against Tampa Bay.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera has had a fairly steady role this season, starting 26 of the Yankees' first 34 games while appearing at five different positions. That could be changing, however, as he's hit just .188/.218/.260 with one homer and now finds himself sitting for the second time in three games. Aaron Hicks and Jake Bauers will handle the outfield corners.
May 3, 2023
Heads to bench Wednesday
Cabrera is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera will give way in left field to Isiah Kiner-Falefa, who will be manning a corner spot for the first time in the majors after playing each of his other 103 innings in the outfield this season in center. Though Cabrera still looks like the Yankees' preferred option in left for now, he's likely lost some job security after falling into a 3-for-28 slump at the dish over his last nine games.
Apr 27, 2023
Not in lineup Thursday
Cabrera is not in the lineup Thursday night against the Rangers.
ANALYSIS
Aaron Hicks is in left field and batting ninth. Cabrera scored two runs Wednesday in the Yankees' win over the Twins, but he is slashing just .216/.244/.297 through 78 total plate appearances this year.
Apr 25, 2023
Sitting out Tuesday
Cabrera is absent from the Yankees' lineup for Tuesday's game in Minnesota, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera is just 3-for-29 at the dish over his last eight contests, do he'll get a day off to regroup. Aaron Hicks is in left field Tuesday.
Apr 22, 2023
Hits first homer of season
Cabrera went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-1 loss to the Blue Jays.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera's first home run of the season was the only offense New York could muster against Toronto. Through 17 games (63 plate appearances), he is slashing .233/.254/.317 and has struck out 18 times.
Apr 10, 2023
Sits in favor of Cordero
Cabrera is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera closed the Yankees' weekend series in Baltimore by going 0-for-8 with four strikeouts in the final two contests, so he'll get a day off to clear his head while the team opens a series in Cleveland. Franchy Cordero checks in for Cabrera in left field.
Apr 7, 2023
Big day against O's
Cabrera went 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored, three RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 7-6 loss to the Orioles.
ANALYSIS
His two-run double in the sixth inning gave the Yankees their only lead of the game, and Cabrera chipped in an RBI single in the eighth as well. The 24-year-old is having a strong start to the season, batting .368 (7-for-19) through six games, but Friday's RBI and steal were his first of the year.
Apr 3, 2023
Sits Monday
Cabrera is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Phillies.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera will cede duties in left field to Aaron Hicks after making each of the first three starts at the position while going 3-for-12 with six strikeouts. Though Hicks remains the more battle-tested veteran, his offensive production has fallen off a cliff since the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign, and his exorbitant contract may be the only thing keeping him on the roster at this point. With that in mind, Cabrera should have a decent amount of leash as a near-everyday player, at least until the Yankees get outfielder Harrison Bader (oblique) back from the injured list.
Mar 30, 2023
Starting in left field for opener
Cabrera is starting in left field and batting seventh for the Yankees in Thursday's opener versus the Giants.
ANALYSIS
The Yanks are going with Aaron Judge in center field, Giancarlo Stanton in right field and Gleyber Torres in the designated hitter spot. That means Aaron Hicks is on the bench for the opener. Gerrit Cole is on the mound for the Bronx Bombers.
Mar 26, 2023
Secures roster spot
Cabrera was informed by the Yankees on Sunday that he's made the Opening Day roster, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old had a .741 OPS in his first taste of the big leagues last season, and it's not a surprise he earned a roster spot after he posted a .333/.382/.608 slash line during spring training. Cabrera is poised to fill a super-utility role, though he could see more run in the outfield early on since Harrison Bader (oblique) is set to begin the season on the injured list.
Mar 9, 2023
Adds center field to repertoire
Cabrera made his professional debut in center field in the Yankees' Grapefruit League game against St. Louis on Wednesday, Pete Caldera of NJ.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera played mostly at second base and shortstop in the minors, but he was used more versatilely after being called up to the Yankees last season, logging time at all four infield positions and both corner-outfield spots. In his pro debut in center during Wednesday's exhibition, he made a diving catch and didn't show any signs of struggle, perhaps giving the team some confidence in his ability to play there. It's unclear if the Yankees are considering putting Cabrera in center field at any time during the regular season, but there may be a need for more depth there after Harrison Bader was sent for tests Thursday due to discomfort in his left oblique.
Oct 19, 2022
Bows out of starting nine
Cabrera is out of the lineup Wednesday for Game 1 of the Yankees' American League Championship Series matchup with the Astros, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera will take a seat for the first time in the postseason after he started either at shortstop or in left field during the Yankees' five-game series victory over the Guardians in the past week. He went 2-for-19 in those contests and could be in danger of losing out on playing time in the ALDS if manager Aaron Boone elects to have Giancarlo Stanton play regularly in left field.
Oct 16, 2022
Likely starting at shortstop Monday
Cabrera will likely start at shortstop for Game 5 of the ALDS against the Guardians on Monday, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera drew the start at shortstop for Sunday's Game 4 win over Cleveland and went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts. In spite of his struggles at the plate, manager Aaron Boone said after the game that the 23-year-old will likely be in the lineup for a second consecutive matchup as the Yankees attempt to advance to the ALCS.
Oct 3, 2022
Takes seat Monday
Cabrera isn't in the lineup Monday against the Rangers.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera has recorded hits in eight consecutive games, slashing .419/.471/.677 with a homer, two triples, a double, eight RBI, four runs, two walks and six strikeouts during that time. He'll get a breather while Marwin Gonzalez starts in left field and bats ninth.
Oct 1, 2022
Accounts for team's only run Friday
Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to Baltimore.
ANALYSIS
The Yankees struggled to produce offense against a trio of Orioles pitchers, finishing with just one run and four hits. Cabrera produced two of the knocks and accounted for the team's lone run with his solo homer to right field in the fifth inning. The rookie has hit five homers for the Yankees this season, all of which have come in his past 16 games. He's slashing .316/.409/.667 with 12 RBI, 15 runs and three stolen bases over that stretch.
Sep 27, 2022
Swipes third bag
Cabrera went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Monday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Blue Jays.
ANALYSIS
The rookie has three steals since his promotion in mid-August, but all three have come in his last 11 games, a stretch during which Cabrera's slashing .316/.422/.658 with four doubles, three homers, nine RBI and 11 runs. The 23-year-old's surprising production down the stretch has locked him into a starting role as the Yankees prepare to clinch the AL East title and get ready for the playoffs.
Sep 25, 2022
Notches second theft
Cabrera went 1-for-3 with a double, a run and a stolen base in a 2-0 win against the Red Sox on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera did all his damage in the fourth, lacing a leadoff double, stealing third and scoring to plate New York's first run. Cabrera has upped his performance over the last week and a half, batting 11-for-34 with three homers, three doubles and both stolen bases.
Sep 21, 2022
Cranks grand slam in win
Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, five RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 14-2 win over the Pirates.
ANALYSIS
The rookie got the Yankees on the board in a big way Wednesday, crushing a grand slam to right field to put his team up 4-0 in the first inning. Cabrera also provided insurance for New York with an RBI double in the eighth inning to put the Yankees up 8-2. He now has three multi-hit efforts in his last five games and is slashing .231/.294/.389 through 115 plate appearances this season.
Sep 17, 2022
Reaches five times Friday
Cabrera went 2-for-2 with a double, three walks and a run in Friday's loss to Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera not only reached base in all five of his plate appearances, he also showed off his defensive versatility, switching between right field, first base and left field during the contest. The rookie pushed his season average over the Mendoza line with the big performance, and he's now slashing .215/.275/.312. Cabrera has reached base in each of his past five contests and is slashing .333/.455/.556 with a homer, four RBI, three runs and a stolen base over that span.
Sep 12, 2022
Pops first big-league homer
Cabrera went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 10-4 win against Tampa Bay.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera enjoyed a memorable moment in the second inning when he belted a 408-foot, two-run shot to right field for his first major-league homer. The rookie has hit safely in four of his past five games following a brutal 1-for-24 stretch at the plate. Cabrera also has five RBI and three runs over his past five contests.
Sep 8, 2022
Out of Thursday's lineup
Cabrera is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Twins.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera started the past five contests and will receive a day off after he went 2-for-19 with two RBI, a run and six strikeouts during that stretch. Aaron Hicks, Estevan Florial and Aaron Judge will start from left to right in the outfield Thursday.
Sep 2, 2022
Gets Friday off
Cabrera will get the day off Friday, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera made 13 consecutive starts after getting the call from Triple-A, but will miss his second straight start Friday to rest up. Aaron Judge will slide over to right field for Cabrera and Aaron Hicks will play in center.
Aug 31, 2022
Takes seat Wednesday
Cabrera is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Angels.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera has started all 13 games since being called up for his MLB debut Aug. 17, but he'll head to the bench Wednesday after he posted a .623 OPS in his first 50 big-league at-bats. Aaron Judge will shift to right field while Aaron Hicks starts in center.
Aug 27, 2022
Hits first triple
Cabrera went 3-for-4 with a triple and a run scored in Friday's 3-2 win over the Athletics.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera has feasted on Oakland pitching, going 6-for-10 in his last two games. He hit his first major-league triple Friday, doing so in his ninth game for the Yankees. The 23-year-old prospect had eight triples across parts of six minor-league seasons in his career. He has both modest power and speed, though it's his defensive versatility that will help him stick around in the majors. He's batting .286 with three extra-base hits, two RBI and three runs scored through 37 plate appearances.
Aug 26, 2022
Notches first three-hit game
Cabrera went 3-for-6 with a double, a run and an RBI in Thursday's 13-4 victory against the Athletics.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera struggled through his first seven major-league contests, hitting .160 with just one extra-base hit. He broke through with the three-hit performance Thursday, notching his second career double and RBI in the seventh inning. Cabrera lifted his batting average over 60 points to .226 with the big effort.
Aug 21, 2022
Gets fifth straight start
Cabrera will start at shortstop and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.
ANALYSIS
Since his call-up Wednesday from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Cabrera has now started in five straight games at three different positions (shortstop, third base and right field). Cabrera's versatility will help his case for earning playing time, but he'll still need to show some improvement at the plate to ensure he sticks as a regular in the lineup. Through his first four starts, Cabrera has gone 3-for-15 with six strikeouts.
Aug 18, 2022
An uneventful debut
Cabrera went 0-for-4 in Wednesday's victory over the Rays.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera's MLB debut may have been unproductive, but his recent endeavors in Triple-A certainly haven't as the 23-year-old boasts a .375 batting average and a 1.133 OPS in 56 at-bats during his last 15 minor league games, including a game on August 14 in which he recorded two triples and a home run. In addition, the second baseman recorded one hit or more in 18 of his last 19 games with a total of 28 hits during that span prior to being called up to MLB.
Aug 17, 2022
Making MLB debut Wednesday
The Yankees recalled Cabrera from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports. He'll make his MLB debut Wednesday against the Rays, starting at third base and batting sixth, according to Chris Kirschner of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Though Cabrera will crack the lineup Wednesday, he picked up starts at three infield spots and the two corner-outfield spots during his time at Triple-A this season and will likely wind up serving as a utility player during his first stint in the big leagues. DJ LeMahieu (toe) is out of the lineup for a fourth straight game Wednesday, but he said he won't require a trip to the injured list and plans to rejoin the lineup for Thursday's series finale, which would close one potential avenue for Cabrera to play regularly. The 23-year-old earned the call to the majors after slashing .261/.340/.494 with eight home runs and 10 stolen bases across 205 plate appearances at Triple-A.
Aug 17, 2022
Bound for big leagues
Cabrera announced in a story on his personal Instagram account that the Yankees will promote him from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre ahead of Wednesday's game against the Rays.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera's impending call-up could signal that the Yankees have some concern about the availability of DJ LeMahieu, who has been out of the lineup for the past three games due to an inflamed right toe. If LeMahieu ends up landing on the injured list, the Yankees would likely roll an everyday infield of Anthony Rizzo, Gleyber Torres, Josh Donaldson and Isiah Kiner-Falefa, so the 23-year-old Cabrera would likely be limited to a utility role in his first taste of the big leagues. Cabrera, who owns an .834 OPS to go with 10 stolen bases in 205 plate appearances at Triple-A, has picked up starts at second base, third base, shortstop, right field and left field this season.
Jul 12, 2022
Back in action at Triple-A
Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre reinstated Cabrera (shoulder) from its 7-day injured list Tuesday, Conor Foley of The Scranton Times-Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera is ready to return to action for the Yankees' top affiliate after he was sidelined for two months due to the shoulder injury. The 23-year-old infielder recently wrapped up a five-game rehab assignment in which he went 5-for-14 with a home run, a double, three walks and three stolen bases between stops at the Yankees' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate and Single-A Tampa.
May 16, 2022
Sidelined at Triple-A
Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre placed Cabrera on its 7-day injured list Monday due to a shoulder issue, Conor Foley of The Scranton Times-Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
The injury has already kept Cabrera out of commission for the past week, so his placement on the IL will extend his absence. Cabrera likely won't miss much time beyond the 7-day minimum, as Foley notes that the 23-year-old infielder has been able to take part in pregame activities for the past several days, aside from hitting.
Mar 27, 2022
Sent to Triple-A
Cabrera was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Cabrera received a late-season promotion to Triple-A last year and will return there to open 2022. He spent most of 2021 at Double-A Somerset and had an .803 OPS with 24 home runs, 79 RBI and 19 stolen bases in 109 games to earn said promotion.
