In mix for NLDS Game 3
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Pepiot is "in play" to pitch in Game 3 of the NLDS on Wednesday at Arizona, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot could either work in bulk relief behind Lance Lynn or get the start himself as the best-of-five National League Division Series shifts from Dodger Stadium to Chase Field. Pepiot made only eight appearances -- three starts -- in the majors during the regular season but dominated to the tune of a 2.14 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 38:5 K:BB in 42 innings.
Sep 27, 2023
Fans career-high nine in matinee
Pepiot came away with a no-decision during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over six relief innings in a 4-1 loss to the Rockies. He struck out nine.
ANALYSIS
The rookie right-hander didn't flinch during his first career outing in Coors Field after watching opener Caleb Ferguson cough up three runs while recording only two outs in the first inning -- Pepiot retired Sean Bouchard to end the frame, then cruised to what would have qualified as a quality start had he begun the game. The nine strikeouts were also a career high, as the 26-year-old recorded 19 swinging strikes on 95 pitches. Pepiot has been brilliant in September, recording a 2.16 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 21:2 K:BB through 25 innings over four appearances (two starts and two bulk relief outings), and he could see action one more time before the end of the regular season, on the road Oct. 1 in San Francisco.
Sep 20, 2023
Strong as primary pitcher
Pepiot allowed a run on five hits and a walk while striking out four over six innings in a no-decision versus the Tigers on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot gave up a solo home run to Parker Meadows in the third inning, but that was it. Unfortunately for Pepiot, the Dodgers' offense was quiet and couldn't get ahead until the ninth inning. This was Pepiot's fifth time allowing one run or fewer across his six appearances this season. He's at a 1.91 ERA, 0.70 WHIP and 26:3 K:BB through 33 innings. He's projected to make his next appearance on the road in Colorado.
Sep 19, 2023
Working behind opener Tuesday
Pepiot is slated to pitch in bulk relief behind an opening pitcher in Tuesday's game against the Tigers, Luca Evans of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Though Dave Roberts didn't announce which pitcher he would use in front of Pepiot, the 26-year-old right-hander will stick in the rotation and is expected to cover the brunt of the innings Tuesday. After turning in an 0.86 ERA, 0.52 WHIP and 17:2 K:BB in 21 innings over his first four big-league outings of the season, Pepiot took a step back in his most recent outing last Wednesday, taking a loss to the Padres after giving up four runs on six hits over six innings.
Sep 14, 2023
Struggles with homers Wednesday
Pepiot (2-1) allowed four runs on six hits and struck out five without walking a batter over six innings, taking the loss Wednesday versus the Padres.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot had allowed just two runs across his first 21 innings this season. That changed Wednesday when he allowed a solo home run to Juan Soto and a three-run blast to Luis Campusano. Despite the mediocre start, Pepiot is at a 2.00 ERA, 0.63 WHIP and 22:2 K:BB through 27 innings over five appearances (three starts). The right-hander hasn't looked out of place in the majors, and he should be penciled in for a home start versus the Tigers next week.
Sep 11, 2023
Next start coming Wednesday
Pepiot is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Padres at Dodger Stadium.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot had been optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City immediately after each of his first three appearances with the Dodgers this season, but he'll likely be in store for a more permanent stay in the rotation after striking out three over seven scoreless innings of one-hit ball in his start this past Thursday versus Miami. Though Thursday's outing was his best yet this season, Pepiot has been impressive on the whole over his four appearances with the Dodgers, going 2-0 with an 0.86 ERA, 0.52 WHIP and 17:2 K:BB in 21 innings. Given the sterling ratios he's provided to date along with the fact that he'll be supported by a potent Dodgers offense, Pepiot makes for a worthy pickup in most formats now that he should be in store for a regular spot in the rotation.
Sep 7, 2023
Dominant in Miami
Pepiot (2-0) earned the win Thursday, allowing one hit over seven scoreless innings against Miami. He struck out three without issuing any walks.
ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old was perfect through 6.2 innings before Josh Bell grounded a single through the middle. Pepiot only tallied three strikeouts for the second consecutive outing, but he was extremely efficient, needing just 84 pitches (60 strikes) to complete seven frames for the first time in his young career. After posting a 6.7 BB/9 in his first stint in the big-leagues last year, Pepiot has issued just two walks in 21 innings this season with a sterling 0.86 ERA and minuscule 0.52 WHIP. The rookie is currently scheduled for a home matchup against the Padres early next week.
Sep 7, 2023
Recalled ahead of Thursday's start
Pepiot was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot is slated to start Thursday's game in Miami. The young right-hander has been terrific in three appearances (one start) for the Dodgers this season, holding a 1.29 ERA and 14:2 K:BB over 14 innings. The Dodgers are in need of rotation help, giving Pepiot the chance to make multiple starts down the stretch if he pitches well.
Sep 6, 2023
Likely pitching Thursday
Pepiot is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to handle the bulk of innings in Thursday's series finale at Miami, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old right-hander will be replacing Julio Urias, who went on administrative leave Wednesday as MLB investigates his weekend arrest on suspicion of domestic violence. Pepiot boasts a 1.29 ERA and 14:2 K:BB in 14 big-league innings this year and should carry significant fantasy streaming appeal on Thursday's lighter slate even if he doesn't get a traditional start. He could slide into a more permanent rotation spot moving forward with Urias likely facing a lengthy suspension.
Aug 31, 2023
Optioned back to OKC
The Dodgers optioned Pepiot to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot scattered two hits and one walk over five scoreless innings en route to his first major-league win of the season Wednesday versus the Diamondbacks, but the Dodgers are activating a fresh bullpen arm in Shelby Miller (neck) prior to their four-game series against Atlanta. Pepiot boasts a 1.29 ERA and 14:2 K:BB in 14 big-league innings this year and should get more of an extended opportunity in September.
Aug 31, 2023
Earns win over Arizona
Pepiot (1-0) allowed two hits and a walk while striking out three over five shutout innings to earn the win over the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot threw 54 of 84 pitches for strikes in his first start and third appearance for the Dodgers this year. He's been excellent while working on a starter's schedule over the last couple of weeks, allowing just two runs, eight hits and two walks while striking out 14 over 14 innings. With rosters expanding Friday, Pepiot may be able to stay in the majors this time around -- his previous two outings came as the 27th man in doubleheaders. With that in mind, he's tentatively lined up for a road appearance in Miami next week.
Aug 30, 2023
Recalled for start Wednesday
Pepiot was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City ahead of his scheduled start Wednesday versus the Diamondbacks.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot has tallied 11 strikeouts while issuing only one walk in nine sharp innings of work this season at the major-league level, but he could be on a pitch count in his third appearance -- and first official start -- for Los Angeles. Tyson Miller was designated for assignment in a corresponding roster move.
Aug 30, 2023
Getting start Wednesday
Pepiot will be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start for the Dodgers on Wednesday versus the Diamondbacks, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Things had been pointing toward Pepiot taking the ball and manager Dave Robert confirmed it following his team's win over Arizona on Tuesday. Pepiot yielded one run over four innings in a bulk relief appearance for the Dodgers last week and figures to have a relatively limited workload Wednesday.
Aug 28, 2023
Could return to start Wednesday
The Dodgers could recall Pepiot from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Wednesday's home game against the Diamondbacks, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot had been optioned to Oklahoma City this past Friday, but because his demotion came after he had been serving as the 27th man for the Dodgers' doubleheader with the Guardians, he's eligible to return to the big club in fewer than the minimum 15 days. Assuming the Dodgers tab Pepiot to fill the opening in their rotation Wednesday, he should stick around as the club's No. 5 starter heading into September. Though he didn't make his 2023 debut at any level until after the All-Star break while he recovered from an oblique injury that cropped up in spring training, Pepiot has excelled over his six starts with Oklahoma City (3.97 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 26:5 K:BB in 22.2 innings) and his two spot starts with the Dodgers (2.00 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 11:1 K:BB in nine innings).
Aug 26, 2023
Heads back to Triple-A
The Dodgers optioned Pepiot to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot has looked good in his first two appearances with the Dodgers in 2023, both of which came when Los Angeles designated him as its 27th man Aug. 19 and this past Thursday. He ended up being deployed as a bulk reliever out of the bullpen Thursday versus the Guardians, striking out six over four innings while giving up one run on three hits and no walks. Though Pepiot will head back to the minors, he could rejoin the Dodgers next week when the team requires a fifth member of the rotation once again.
Aug 25, 2023
Nabs win in return from minors
Pepiot (1-0) earned the win over Cleveland on Thursday, allowing one run on three hits and no walks while striking out six batters over four innings in bulk relief.
ANALYSIS
With the teams finishing Wednesday's suspended game early in the day, Pepiot was called up from Triple-a Oklahoma City to serve as the Dodgers 27th man. Los Angeles went with an opener in Caleb Ferguson to begin Game 2, but Pepiot took on the heaviest load among four Dodgers hurlers in the contest, throwing 76 pitches over four frames. The rookie right-hander impressed in the outing, yielding just one run (on a Gabriel Arias solo shot) while racking up 12 swinging strikes and six punchouts. Though Pepiot's call-up was necessitated by the doubleheader, there's a good possibility he'll remain up with the big club and enter the team's rotation. Los Angeles doesn't have an off day until Sept. 4 and recently placed Tony Gonsolin on the injured list with a forearm injury that is likely season-ending. Walker Buehler (elbow) is on his way back, but he isn't likely to be ready to return to the club for at least a few weeks.
Aug 24, 2023
Called up as bulk pitcher
Pepiot was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City as the 27th man and will serve as the bulk pitcher in Thursday's later game at Cleveland, Kirsten Watson of SportsNet LA reports.
ANALYSIS
Caleb Ferguson is going to open the game and then Pepiot will enter to handle the majority of the innings for the visiting Dodgers. Pepiot could officially join the Los Angeles rotation next week as a replacement for Tony Gonsolin (forearm), presuming he pitches well enough Thursday against the Guardians to lock down that that role.
Aug 24, 2023
Lined up for bulk of innings
Pepiot will be the Dodgers' bulk pitcher in their second game Thursday at Cleveland, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot might follow an opener -- probably Caleb Ferguson -- but the Dodgers aren't setting anything in stone until they get through the remainder of Wednesday's suspended game. Pepiot still has to be officially recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he's pitched to a 3.97 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 26:5 K:BB in 22.2 innings (six starts) this year. He tallied five strikeouts over five innings of one-run ball in his MLB season debut last week against the Marlins before getting sent back down to the farm.
Aug 23, 2023
Set to start Thursday
Pepiot will be called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Thursday against the Guardians, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old was sent down after he allowed a run over five frames in his season debut last week, and he'll rejoin the Dodgers on Thursday for what's likely to be a longer look in the rotation. Pepiot had a 3.47 ERA over nine outings in his first taste of the majors last year, and he should have the chance to finish the campaign in Los Angeles' rotation after Tony Gonsolin (forearm) was recently labeled as unlikely to return this season.
Aug 22, 2023
Could get start Thursday
Pepiot could be recalled to start Thursday in Cleveland, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot was technically optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, but he remains with the Dodgers as part of their taxi squad and looks poised to fill the rotation spot left vacant by Tony Gonsolin's likely-season-ending forearm injury. Pepiot, 26, tallied five strikeouts over five innings of one-run ball while working in bulk relief Saturday versus the Marlins. He allowed only three hits and issued just one walk.
Aug 21, 2023
Returns to Triple-A
The Dodgers optioned Pepiot to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot was summoned from Triple-A to serve as the Dodgers' 27th man for Saturday's doubleheader with the Marlins. He ended up starting the first game of the twin bill in what was his 2023 MLB debut, striking out five over five innings of one-run ball while taking a no-decision in the Dodgers' 3-1 win. Though Pepiot is healthy again after missing much of the season with an oblique injury, the Dodgers' decision to return him to the minors suggests that he might not be the next man up to stay in the rotation as the No. 5 starter while the team looks to replace Tony Gonsolin (forearm), who is likely out for the season. Instead, Emmet Sheehan, who has struck out 11 over eight innings while giving up one earned run in two outings since returning to Oklahoma City earlier this month, could be called up to fill the void when the Dodgers next require a fifth starter this weekend in Boston.
Aug 20, 2023
Turns in solid outing
Pepiot allowed a run on three hits and a walk while striking out five over five innings in a no-decision in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Marlins.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot covered a bulk-relief assignment following Caleb Ferguson's scoreless inning as the opener. It was solid work from Pepiot, who could have a chance to stay in the big leagues after serving as the 27th man for this doubleheader. He posted a 3.97 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 26:5 K:BB over 22.2 innings with Triple-A Oklahoma City after recovering from an oblique injury he sustained in spring training. With Tony Gonsolin (forearm) done for the year, the replacement in the rotation could come down to Pepiot or Ryan Yarbrough among the options already on the major-league roster.
Aug 19, 2023
Up as 27th man
The Dodgers recalled Pepiot from Triple-A Oklahoma City to serve as their 27th man for Saturday's doubleheader against Miami, Kirsten Watson of SportsNet LA reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot hasn't pitched in the majors yet this season, but he's put up a decent 3.97 ERA and 1.17 WHIP alongside a 26:5 K:BB through 22.2 innings with OKC. With Tony Gonsolin (forearm) on the injured list and likely out for the rest of the season, a solid performance from Pepiot on Saturday would significantly increase his odds of sticking around past Saturday to fill the open rotation spot.
Aug 18, 2023
Expected for first game Saturday
Pepiot is expected to serve as the Dodgers' 27th man during Saturday's doubleheader versus the Marlins and pitch in the first game, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Manager Dave Roberts is officially saying it will be a bullpen game in the afternoon contest, but Pepiot is expected to handle the bulk innings, if not start. The young right-hander has posted a 3.47 ERA and 42:27 K:BB over 36.1 innings during his time with the Dodgers this season.
Aug 2, 2023
Activated, optioned to OKC
The Dodgers reinstated Pepiot (oblique) from the 60-day injured list Wednesday and optioned him to Triple-A Oklahoma City, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
A left oblique strain has kept Pepiot on the injured list since the beginning of the season, and he'll remain in the minors now that he's healthy. The 25-year-old righty made four starts with Oklahoma City during his rehab assignment, putting up a 6.00 ERA and 1.50 WHIP through 12 innings. Tyson Miller was designated for assignment to free a space on the 40-man roster.
Jul 20, 2023
Works two frames in rehab start
Pepiot (oblique) gave up an earned run on two hits and one walk while striking out two in two innings in his first rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City last Friday.
ANALYSIS
The appearance was Pepiot's first in affiliated ball during the 2023 season after he had been shut down since late in spring training with a left oblique strain and then suffering a setback during his throwing program in May. Because of his lengthy absence, Pepiot will likely require an extended buildup, so expect him to make at least two more starts in the minors before he merits consideration for a spot in the big-league rotation. Pepiot posted a strong 3.47 ERA in 36.1 innings over nine appearances (seven starts) with the Dodgers as a rookie last season, but most other metrics (1.46 WHIP, 11.1 K-BB%, 4.96 SIERA) didn't paint as rosy of a picture of his performance.
Jul 13, 2023
Beginning assignment Friday
Pepiot (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, Alex Freedman of the Oklahoma City Dodgers reports.
ANALYSIS
A left oblique strain and a setback in early May has kept Pepiot on the shelf all season, and he is now entering the final stage of his recovery process. It's unclear how long the Dodgers plan on keeping Pepiot in the minors, but he will likely make multiple starts in OKC before returning to the Dodgers' rotation.
Jun 26, 2023
Resumes throwing
Pepiot (oblique) has begun a throwing program at the Dodgers' complex in Arizona, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot was expected to start the season with a fill-in spot in the Dodgers' rotation, but an oblique strain near the end of spring training quashed that plan. The right-hander began throwing to hitters in early May but was then shut down after continuing to experience soreness in his left oblique. Pepiot is now beginning to ramp up again, but given the amount of time he has missed, a potential return to the big-league staff is likely at least several weeks away.
May 18, 2023
Return pushed back
Pepiot is still experiencing soreness in his left oblique, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot began throwing to live hitters earlier this month, but a setback has returned him to playing catch on flat ground. Originally expected to return in late May or early June, Pepiot could now be held out of action through the All-Star break.
May 9, 2023
Throwing to live hitters
Pepiot (oblique) threw live batting practice Tuesday at the Dodgers' spring training complex in Arizona, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
It's a significant step in the right direction for Pepiot, who has been out all season after suffering a left oblique strain while making his final Cactus League appearance. He's currently on the 60-day injured list but will seemingly be ready for activation around the time he's first eligible in late May.
May 1, 2023
Begins throwing progression
Pepiot (oblique) recently began a throwing progression at the Dodgers' spring training facility in Arizona and has built up his long-toss distance to about 150 feet as of Monday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot presumably started throwing again about a week or two ago after his activity had been limited since he was diagnosed with a left oblique strain coming out of his final Cactus League appearance March 28. Before developing the injury, Pepiot had been on track to break camp as a member of Los Angeles' rotation, but he may not have a starting role waiting for him once he's eligible to return from the 60-day injured list in late May. Tony Gonsolin has since beaten Pepiot back from the IL to recapture a spot in the Dodgers' rotation.
Apr 21, 2023
Transferred to 60-day IL
Pepiot (oblique) was transferred to the 60-day injured list by the Dodgers on Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot has yet to resume throwing after straining an oblique in late March, so the move doesn't come as a big surprise. He's now not eligible to return until late May.
Apr 17, 2023
Still not able to throw
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters before Monday's game against the Mets that Pepiot (oblique) is still not throwing, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.
ANALYSIS
"Ryan is just doing one-arm plyos in Arizona," Roberts said. "We're all kind of miffed at the slow progress. He's still not throwing a baseball." The right-hander has been on the injured list just before the start of the season with a left oblique strain, and an injury that was expected to keep him out for a couple of weeks will now likely sideline the 25-year-old until the end of month.
Apr 10, 2023
Yet to resume throwing
Pepiot (oblique) has not yet been cleared to throw, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
The team noted nearly one week ago that Pepiot could get the green light to pick up a baseball within the next week, but he's yet to be cleared. Assuming he'll need to toss a few bullpen sessions and be sent out on a rehab assignment, it's looking more likely that the right-hander won't be activated from the 15-day IL until May.
Apr 4, 2023
Could resume throwing soon
Pepiot (oblique) could resume throwing as soon as next week, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot was placed on the 15-day injured list on the morning of Opening Day and lost out on an opportunity to begin the year as a member of the Dodgers' rotation. But his oblique strain is said to be relatively minor, and the hope is that he might be ready for big-league action by the end of April. Tony Gonsolin (ankle) is also tracking toward a late-April return, so Pepiot might be used in long relief initially or even stationed at Triple-A Oklahoma City. Michael Grove currently occupies the final spot in LA's starting mix.
Mar 30, 2023
Heads to IL with oblique strain
Pepiot was placed on the 15-day injured list Thursday with a left oblique strain, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot had been lined up as the fill-in starter for Tony Gonsolin (ankle) but that assignment will now go to Michael Grove instead. The recovery time for an oblique strain can range from a couple of weeks to multiple months. There's no word yet from the Dodgers about a recovery timetable.
Mar 29, 2023
Knocked around in final tune-up
Pepiot tossed 3.2 innings in an exhibition game against the Angels on Tuesday, allowing five runs on six hits and four walks while striking out five batters.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot was announced as the winner of the battle for the Dodgers' fifth starter spot Friday, and this poor outing isn't likely to affect that decision. Still, it wasn't a good way for the rookie right-hander to end the spring, as he put too many hitters on base and served up a pair of solo homers. Pepiot is expected to start Los Angeles' fifth game of the regular season, but he may not remain in the rotation once Tony Gonsolin (ankle) returns to action.
Mar 24, 2023
Claims final rotation spot
Pepiot has won the final spot in the Dodgers' starting rotation, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot might only hold that spot for a couple of turns as Tony Gonsolin works back from a left ankle sprain, but the 25-year-old right-hander should carry considerable fantasy streaming appeal for however long he's making starts. He posted a cool 3.47 ERA with 42 strikeouts over his first 36.1 major-league innings in 2022.
Mar 22, 2023
Set to start Wednesday
Pepiot (side) is listed as the Dodgers' probable starter for Wednesday's spring game against the Mariners.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander exited his previous Cactus League start Friday due to side discomfort but will make his next turn through the rotation Wednesday. Pepiot made his big-league debut last season and had a 3.47 ERA across 36.1 frames in nine outings (seven starts), and he's making a strong push for a rotation spot to open 2023 with just two runs allowed and a 13:3 K:BB over nine innings during spring training.
Mar 17, 2023
Left start with side issue
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Pepiot was dealing with side discomfort during his Cactus League start Saturday against the Cubs, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.
ANALYSIS
"Kind of something in the midsection of his body," Roberts told Dodgers reporter Kirsten Watson. "We just felt after that long third inning, we felt it was smart to put on that next inning and get him ready for his next start." The right-hander went three innings while allowing just one run, walked two and struck out four. The long inning Roberts referred to is an eight-run burst for the Dodgers before Pepiot exited. The 25-year-old has a good chance to open the season in the rotation, but fantasy managers will want to pay close attention to this situation.
Mar 10, 2023
Could open year in rotation
Pepiot is an option to open the season in the Dodgers' rotation in Tony Gonsolin (ankle) isn't ready, manager Dave Roberts told Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Roberts listed Michael Grove as the other option to fill a potential Gonsolin vacancy. It does not seem as if Gonsolin will be out long, so Pepiot and/or Grove might only be needed for a start or two. Pepiot held a 3.47 ERA with 42 strikeouts over 36.1 innings for the Dodgers last season. He also walked 27, though, and control has been an ongoing issue for the righty.
Feb 28, 2023
Strong impression in spring debut
Pepiot tossed one scoreless inning in a Cactus League contest against San Diego on Monday, allowing one hit and striking out one batter.
ANALYSIS
While the Dodgers' five-man rotation appears set, the team doesn't yet have a clear option for its long-reliever/sixth-starter role. Pepiot is among the candidates to fill that slot, and he no doubt helped his case with a strong spring debut during which he threw 16 of 21 pitches for strikes and touched 94 mph with his fastball, per Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times. The right-hander did fine over 36.1 innings in his first taste of the majors last season, posting a 3.47 ERA and 26.3 percent strikeout rate, but his 1.46 WHIP and 16.9 percent walk rate were less encouraging. He'll need to improve his command to be a successful big-league starter, so Monday's outing was a step in the right direction, though a one-inning appearance at the start of spring shouldn't be overhyped.
Sep 28, 2022
Back in minors
Pepiot, who was returned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sept. 21, struck out two over a one-inning start for the affiliate Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Between the majors and Triple-A, Pepiot is up to 127.2 innings in 2022, so the Dodgers could choose to be conservative with the 25-year-old's usage over the final days of the regular season. Pepiot most recently made a spot start for the Dodgers on Sept. 20, but with Tony Gonsolin (forearm) trending toward a return from the 15-day injured list as soon as Sunday, the rookie may not make his way back to the big club this season.
Sep 21, 2022
Takes win in Game 1 of twin bill
Pepiot (3-0) earned the win over the Diamondbacks in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out four batters over three innings.
ANALYSIS
Michael Grove got the start for Los Angeles and gave the team five innings before Pepiot took over in the sixth. The latter was very effective in his three frames, allowing two of the first three batters he faced to reach base before retiring the next eight. Pepiot served as the 29th man for the doubleheader, so he could return to the minors soon despite the strong outing.
Sep 20, 2022
Added as 29th man
Pepiot will serve as the Dodgers' 29th man in Tuesday's doubleheader against the Diamondbacks.
ANALYSIS
It was reported Monday night that Pepiot would be called up Tuesday, and the Dodgers ultimately made the move official. He will not start the first game of the twin bill, but according to Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com, manager Dave Roberts is hoping Pepiot and starter Michael Grove "will be able to cover the first game." As such, expect Pepiot to follow Grove into the game and work several innings.
Sep 19, 2022
Up as 29th man
Pepiot will serve as the 29th man for Tuesday's doubleheader against the Diamondbacks, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot is in line for a brief promotion to the big leagues and will head right back down to Triple-A Oklahoma City following the nightcap. Michael Grove is scheduled to start Game 1 of the twin bill, but Pepiot is expected to serve as the primary pitcher, per J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News. He surrendered one unearned run on three hits and four walks while fanning two over two innings in his last major-league action.
Sep 5, 2022
Back to Triple-A
Pepiot was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Dodgers have an off day in the middle of this week and the middle of next week, so they can give most of their starters extra rest in the short term even while sticking with a five-man rotation. Pepiot could be recalled the next time the Dodgers want to operate with a six-man rotation or if someone in the rotation gets hurt.
Sep 5, 2022
Works two innings behind opener
Pepiot didn't factor into the decision during Sunday's 9-4 victory over San Diego, allowing an unearned run on three hits and four walks while notching three strikeouts in two-plus innings.
ANALYSIS
Making his first appearance since Aug. 21, Pepiot followed reliever Caleb Ferguson and pitched a messy two-plus frames. The 25-year-old permitted two singles in the second but was able to escape thanks to a double play, however, he didn't fare as well after when an unearned run scored on a hit and two walks in the third. He was pulled after walking the first two batters of the fourth inning and ended up tossing 74 pitches while allowing more baserunners than outs recorded. It's unclear if Pepiot will stick in the rotation as Los Angeles currently has five healthy starters.

Promoted, working behind opener
The Dodgers recalled Pepiot from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
After Pepiot made his first seven career MLB appearances as a starter, manager Dave Roberts said the rookie right-hander is scheduled to work as a primary pitcher out of the bullpen behind opener Caleb Ferguson in Sunday's game against the Padres, per Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register. While the setup may end up limiting Pepiot's innings compared to a traditional start, it could help his case for factoring into the decision. If the Dodgers choose to keep a six-man rotation intact for the upcoming week, Pepiot will likely continue to make starts or operate as a primary pitcher while Tony Gonsolin (forearm) is on the shelf.

Slated to work behind opener
Pepiot will pitch behind Caleb Ferguson in Sunday's series finale against the Padres, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
It had previously been reported that Pepiot would start Sunday's game, but manager Dave Roberts has decided to throw the lefty Ferguson in front of the righty. This might make Pepiot slightly more appealing as a fantasy streamer, as theoretically he has a better chance at factoring into the decision working behind an opener. Pepiot has a 4.02 ERA in the majors and a 2.58 ERA at Triple-A this season.
Sep 3, 2022
Set for spot start
Pepiot will start Sunday against San Diego, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot owns a mediocre 4.02 ERA through his first seven major-league starts, with a high 16.1 percent walk rate and a low 21.3 percent groundball rate standing as significant red flags. The Dodgers have a commanding lead in the NL West, however, so they can afford to send him out for a spot start in order to give their other starters some extra rest.
Aug 22, 2022
Optioned to Triple-A
Pepiot was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot started Sunday against the Marlins and gave up two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out seven in six innings to earn the win. In spite of his quality start, the right-hander will head to the minors after Brusdar Graterol (shoulder) was reinstated from the injured list. Although Clayton Kershaw (back) is over a week away from returning, the Dodgers will likely roll with a five-man rotation for now since Dustin May is back in action.
Aug 21, 2022
Collects second win
Pepiot (2-0) earned the win Sunday over the Marlins. He allowed two runs on four hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in six innings.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot put together his longest outing of the campaign while limiting the damage to a two-run home run by Lewin Diaz in the fourth inning. The seven strikeouts were a season high, while the two walks were his second-lowest mark in seven appearances. Pepiot has a 4.02 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 36:22 K:BB through 31.1 innings this year. J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports Clayton Kershaw (back) won't need a rehab assignment, but he's still over a week away from activation. Still, it's unclear if Pepiot will get another turn in the rotation after Dustin May made his return from Tommy John surgery Saturday, which gives the Dodgers six starters on their active roster.
Aug 17, 2022
Sticking in rotation
Manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that Pepiot will remain in the rotation for at least one more start, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old took a no-decision Tuesday in Milwaukee after giving up three runs over 4.2 innings and appeared headed for the bullpen with Dustin May (elbow) returning from the injured list this weekend. However, Pepiot will stick in the rotation for at least one more turn and perhaps more as Roberts contemplates a six-man rotation. Pepiot has a 4.26 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 29:20 K:BB across 25.1 frames through his first six big-league outings.
Aug 17, 2022
Permits three runs in no-decision
Pepiot registered a no-decision during Tuesday's 5-4 loss Milwaukee, allowing three runs on three hits and five walks with six strikeouts in 4.2 innings.
ANALYSIS
Making a second turn through the rotation, Pepiot found himself down two-runs before recording an out but was able to limit the damage to a single run further despite heavy traffic on the bases. The 24-year-old failed to record a 1-2-3 inning and walked two straight Brewers with two out in the fifth to prompt his removal, however, an impressive 13 swinging strikes on 91 pitches and a career-high tying six strikeouts helped balance out the five walks. Dustin May is set to rejoin the rotation Saturday, pushing Pepiot and his 4.26 ERA to the bullpen or minors.
Aug 14, 2022
Another start coming Tuesday
Pepiot is listed as the Dodgers' scheduled starting pitcher for Tuesday's game in Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot will again fill the spot in the rotation that belonged to Clayton Kershaw (back), after the rookie previously covered 4.1 innings and surrendered four earned runs on five hits and three walks in last Wednesday's game against the Twins. The Dodgers may not have a spot available for Pepiot beyond Tuesday, however; Dustin May (elbow) is scheduled to make what should be his final minor-league rehab start Sunday, putting him on track to return from the 60-day injured list next weekend.
Aug 11, 2022
Struggles but takes no-decision
Pepiot allowed four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four batters over 4.1 innings against Minnesota on Wednesday. He did not factor in the decision.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot got through two scoreless innings before a three-run homer off the bat of Jorge Polanco in the third provided the big blow against him. Pepiot allowed another run on a Gary Sanchez solo shot in the fifth and was pulled soon thereafter. This was the worst of the rookie's five starts thus far, as he yielded the most hits and runs of any of his big-league appearances. Pepiot will likely get another start with Clayton Kershaw (back) not yet throwing, but Dustin May (elbow) is slated to return to action next weekend, which could push Pepiot back to the minors.
Aug 10, 2022
Called up ahead of start
Pepiot was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City ahead of Wednesday's start against the Twins, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The Dodgers used a four-man rotation in recent days, but Pepiot will return to the majors Wednesday after spending just over a month in the minors. It's possible that Pepiot draws several starts for the major-league club while Clayton Kershaw (back) is on the injured list. Pepiot posted a 3.20 ERA and 0.97 WHIP in 19.2 innings over three starts in the minors following his demotion.
Aug 10, 2022
Starting Wednesday
Pepiot will be called up to start Wednesday's game against the Twins, Kirsten Watson of SportsNet LA reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot was initially expected to start Saturday, but the Dodgers elected to use a four-man rotation over the last few days. However, the right-hander will make his first major-league start since early July as a fill-in for Clayton Kershaw (back). Over four big-league starts, Pepiot has posted a 2.76 ERA and 1.35 WHIP in 16.1 innings.
Aug 10, 2022
Rejoining rotation
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Pepiot will be called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Wednesday's series finale with the Twins in Los Angeles, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot will be picking up his fifth start of the season for the Dodgers, stepping into the spot in the rotation that was vacated by Clayton Kershaw's (back) recent move to the injured list. Among the four Dodgers starting pitchers on the injured list, Dustin May (elbow) is probably the closest to returning, but Pepiot should at least get a second turn through the rotation if he's able to deliver a serviceable outing Wednesday. Over his previous four outings with the big club, Pepiot turned in a 2.76 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 19:12 K:BB in 16.1 innings.
Aug 5, 2022
Could get Kershaw's spot
Pepiot is no longer listed as Saturday's starting pitcher for Triple-A Oklahoma City, and it's possible he will make his next start next week for the big club with Clayton Kershaw (back) heading to the injured list, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Dodgers have the option of going with a four-man rotation until Aug. 16 in Milwaukee, but they could also give everyone some extra rest next week and add Pepiot to the rotation at some point in the two-game series at home against the Twins on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Pepiot has a 3.20 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, 17 strikeouts and seven walks in 19.2 innings over his last three starts at Triple-A. He has electric stuff, but sometimes his control can abandon him, so Pepiot is a high-risk/high-reward option whenever he makes MLB spot starts.
Jul 6, 2022
Returns to minors
Pepiot was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot picked up his first big-league win Wednesday after giving up one run with six strikeouts over five innings, but he won't stick around the major-league club. The right-hander has a 2.76 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 19:12 K:BB across 16.1 frames in his first taste of the majors this year.
Jul 6, 2022
Earns first big-league win
Pepiot (1-0) allowed a run on four hits and a walk with six strikeouts in five innings, earning the win Tuesday over the Rockies.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot gave up an RBI double to Jose Iglesias in the second inning, but he was able to keep the Rockies' offense in check from there. This was the first time in four starts Pepiot has completed five innings, and it was also the first time he didn't walk multiple batters. The rookie right-hander owns a 2.76 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 19:12 K:BB through 16.1 innings overall. The Dodgers have off days next Monday and a week from Sunday, so they're unlikely to need a sixth starter before the All-Star break -- Pepiot will likely head back to Triple-A Oklahoma City or move to the bullpen in the near future.
Jul 5, 2022
Recalled for Tuesday start
Pepiot will join the 26-man roster and start Tuesday's game versus Colorado, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Mitch White was scheduled to start but instead Pepiot, who has a 3.18 ERA and 13:11 K:BB through three outings this season, will get the nod. Walks have been a problem for Pepiot in the minors, too, as he's issued three free passes in each of his last three starts at Triple-A and 25 total in 55.2 innings in 2022.
May 28, 2022
Sent down Saturday
Pepiot was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander started Friday's game against the Diamondbacks and gave up a run on three hits and three walks while striking out five in 4.1 innings. While Pepiot was effective in his third major-league start, he'll head back to the minors after Michael Grove was recalled by the Dodgers on Saturday.
May 27, 2022
Called up ahead of start
Pepiot was recalled as expected and will start Friday against Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot owns a respectable 3.86 ERA through his first two major-league starts, but he's lasted a combined seven innings while walking eight batters. He won't be able to rely on a .133 BABIP going forward, though his 1.72 ERA in seven starts for Triple-A Oklahoma City suggests there's hope his performance rises to match his results.
May 27, 2022
Starting Friday
Pepiot will start Friday's game against the Diamondbacks, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Although Pepiot was sent down last week, he traveled with the Dodgers for their road trip to Arizona and will make his third major-league start Friday. Over his first two starts, the right-hander posted a 3.86 ERA and 1.57 WHIP in seven innings.
May 26, 2022
Travels with team to Arizona
Pepiot is with the Dodgers to begin their road trip in Arizona, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Dodgers haven't yet announced a starter for Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks, but Pepiot seems like a strong candidate to take the mound. The right-hander has made two major-league starts this year, and he posted a 3.86 ERA and 1.57 WHIP in seven innings prior to being optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City last week.
May 19, 2022
Moves back to Oklahoma City
The Dodgers optioned Pepiot to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot's demotion comes after he served as the 27th man in Tuesday's doubleheader with the Diamondbacks. He started the first game of the twin bill, taking a no-decision while striking out five over four frames and allowing three earned runs on two hits and three walks. The Dodgers are expected to require a new fifth starter in next week's series in Arizona, so Pepiot could be summoned from the minors at that time to fill the void in the rotation.
May 18, 2022
Allows three runs in no-decision
Pepiot gave up three earned runs on two hits and three walks over four innings during Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Diamondbacks. He had five strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old served as the 27th man for Tuesday's twin bill and made his second career big-league start in the matinee. Pepiot threw only 52 of his 87 pitches for strikes and now has eight walks over seven innings between his two outings. Despite the command issues, the right-hander should remain in the mix for starts going forward since Clayton Kershaw (pelvis) and Andrew Heaney (shoulder) remain on the injured list with no clear return timelines.
May 17, 2022
Confirmed to make start Tuesday
The Dodgers recalled Pepiot from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday and will have him start the first game of the team's doubleheader with the Diamondbacks in Los Angeles.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot is designated as the 27th man for the twin bill, so he'll presumably head back to Oklahoma City at the conclusion of Tuesday's start. The 24-year-old right-hander made his big-league debut last week in Pittsburgh, striking out three over three scoreless innings but not advancing deep into the start after he issued five walks. Pepiot will aim to improve his efficiency in Tuesday's outing, and a better showing against Arizona could keep him in the conversation to make another turn through the rotation when the Dodgers next require a fifth starter May 24 in Washington.
May 16, 2022
'In the mix' to start Tuesday
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts indicated Sunday that Pepiot is "in the mix" to start one of the games during Tuesday's doubleheader against Arizona, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot made his major-league debut in Pittsburgh on Wednesday and tossed three scoreless innings despite walking five batters. He was subsequently sent back down to Triple-A Oklahoma City, but the Dodgers may have shown their hand by assigning him to Single-A Rancho Cucamonga -- where the Quakes play their home games about 50 miles east of Los Angeles -- on Saturday. The Dodgers are in the midst of a stretch during which they play 31 games in 30 days and recently moved starter Clayton Kershaw (pelvis) to the injured list, so pitching depth is at a premium for the team at the moment.
May 12, 2022
Sent down Thursday
Pepiot was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot made his major-league debut Wednesday against the Pirates and allowed a hit and five walks while striking out three in three scoreless innings. While the right-hander will lose his spot on the major-league roster, he's still a strong candidate to start during one of the two games in Tuesday's doubleheader against the Diamondbacks.
May 11, 2022
Struggles with control
Pepiot allowed one hit and walked five while striking out three across three scoreless innings Wednesday against the Pirates. He did not factor into the decision.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to the game to make his big-league debut. He struggled to consistently find the zone, as he hit a batter -- in addition to his five walks -- and only 40 of his 77 pitches went for strikes. That portion of his performance wasn't particularly surprising given that he has a 4.4 BB/9 across 68 innings with Oklahoma City, and there isn't a compelling reason to believe that his control problems will improve in the immediate future. Even so, with the Dodgers in line for a doubleheader Tuesday, Pepiot will likely get to take another turn through the rotation.
May 11, 2022
Called up ahead of MLB debut
The Dodgers selected Pepiot's contract from Triple-A Oklahoma City ahead of his scheduled start Wednesday in Pittsburgh, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Los Angeles designated reliever Robbie Erlin for assignment to clear room for Pepiot on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster. Pepiot will be making his MLB debut Wednesday and earned the promotion after turning in a 2.05 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 36:12 K:BB across 26.1 innings with Triple-A Oklahoma City on the campaign.
May 10, 2022
Confirmed to start Wednesday
Manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Pepiot will be called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Wednesday's game in Pittsburgh, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
The Dodgers will have to select Pepiot's contract and remove a player from the 40-man roster prior to Wednesday's contest to make the transaction official. Pepiot is being added to the rotation as a temporary sixth starter as a result of the team's doubleheader with the Cubs this past weekend. Los Angeles is likely to option Pepiot to Oklahoma City following Wednesday's outing, but he could rejoin the big club May 17 against the Diamondbacks, when the Dodgers are scheduled to play a doubleheader and will need to add a sixth starter to the mix once again. The 24-year-old right-hander earned the promotion to the majors after turning in a 2.05 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 36:12 K:BB across 26.1 innings at Oklahoma City this season.
May 10, 2022
Preparing to start Wednesday
Pepiot, who joined the Dodgers in Pittsburgh and is currently a member of the taxi squad, hinted Tuesday that he expects to be formally called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Wednesday's game against the Pirates, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Likely on the orders of the Dodgers' staff, Pepiot wouldn't explicitly say that he's starting Wednesday, but he noted that he believes he's ready to pitch in the majors and said he would have family and friends in attendance in Pittsburgh. Assuming no postponement happens that would result in the Dodgers having to restructure their pitching schedule, Pepiot should receive what amounts to a spot start with Los Angeles having temporarily expanded to a six-man rotation due to last weekend's doubleheader. Through six starts at Oklahoma City this season covering 26.1 innings, Pepiot has posted a 2.05 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 36:12 K:BB.
May 9, 2022
Joining taxi squad
Pepiot traveled with the Dodgers to Pittsburgh on Monday and could start Wednesday's series finale, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Manager Dave Roberts indicated Saturday that Pepiot could get a call-up soon, and while that's yet to be confirmed, it looks as though he might be about to get his shot. The 24-year-old owns a 2.05 ERA and a 33.0 percent strikeout rate in six Triple-A starts this season, though he's also walked 11.0 percent of opposing batters and has never posted a single-digit walk rate at any level of the minors. Those numbers match his scouting reports, as he has good stuff led by an excellent changeup but also has notable command issues, something which could eventually send him to the bullpen.
May 7, 2022
Candidate for starting role
Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Pepiot is "part of the conversation" to serve as a sixth starter for the Dodgers, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot has gotten off to a strong start at Triple-A Oklahoma City this year, posting a 2.05 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 26.1 innings over six starts. The right-hander hasn't yet made his major-league debut, but the Dodgers are considering a six-man rotation in May since the team has 31 games in 30 days. Even if Pepiot isn't called up as a sixth starter this month, it wouldn't be surprising to see him join the big-league club at some point in 2022.
Apr 30, 2022
Dominating at Triple-A level
Pepiot is 2-0 with a 1.66 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 29:9 K:BB across 21.2 innings over five starts with Triple-A Oklahoma City this season.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot's first stint at the Triple-A level last season didn't go well, as he posted a 7.13 ERA and allowed a .305 average over 41.2 frames. However, the right-hander has turned things around considerably this season -- he has yet to allow more than two runs in a start and has posted a 12.3 K/9 along with a career-best 3.8 BB/9. The walk rate could still use improvement, but Pepiot has shown the ability to dominate at every minor-league level and could get his first call-up to the Dodgers at some point this season.
Mar 26, 2022
Optioned to minors
The Dodgers sent down Pepiot to minor league camp, according to Juan Toribio of MLB.com.
ANALYSIS
At Triple-A in 2021, Pepiot posted a 7.13 ERA and 1.80 WHIP in 41.2 innings. In spring training, Pepiot allowed four hits, six earned runs, and four walks with four strikeouts in four innings.
Aug 1, 2021
Promoted to Triple-A
Pepiot was moved up to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander has excelled at the Double-A level this season, posting a 2.87 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 81:26 K:BB across 59.2 innings. He'll now move up to the highest level of the minors, and it's not out of the question that he could make his big-league debut at some point before the end of the campaign. Pepiot is not currently on the 40-man roster, but he ranks among the organization's top pitching prospects.
Jul 5, 2021
Could get call-up this season
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that the team could call up Pepiot at some point in 2021, asfd reports.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander has dominated at the Double-A level this season, posting a 1.73 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 57:18 K:BB across 41.2 innings. He was at his best Sunday versus Arkansas, tossing seven perfect frames and striking out 11 before walking a batter and subsequently departing in the eighth inning. It remains to be seen if the Dodgers will have any use for him on the big-league squad this season, but the 23-year-old is certainly opening eyes around the organization.
Feb 17, 2021
Gets spring training invite
Pepiot received an invitation to the Dodgers' spring camp on Tuesday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pepiot was drafted by the Dodgers in the third round of the 2019 first-year player draft and impressed with a 1.93 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 31:13 K:BB over 23.1 innings in the lower minors during his first professional campaign. The right-hander spent last season at the team's alternate training site and could open the campaign at Triple-A.
