Logs 11 carries
Littleton compiled 11 rushes for 38 yards and reeled in 1 of 2 targets for four yards during Saturday's 37-17 loss versus Ohio State.
ANALYSIS
Littleton slightly paced the Terrapins' rushing attack ahead of top running back Roman Hemby (eight carries, 35 yards). These rank first and second on the team in rushing attempts this season, though the 232-pound Littleton profiles as more of a short-yardage bruiser than the more versatile Hemby. Expect the latter to continue serving as Terps primary running back moving forward.

Splits rushing load Week 4
Littleton posted nine rushes for 33 yards during Saturday's 31-9 win over Michigan State.
ANALYSIS
Littleton recorded nine carries for the second week in a row, as he saw significantly more playing time in this easy blowout win. The margin of victory was largely set up by Maryland's ability to force turnovers, which allowed the team to get up early and deploy its second- and third-string players - such as Littleton. It's likely he'll see more limited usage behind No. 1 back Roman Hemby in tighter games moving forward.

Scores his first TD of 2023
Littleton had nine rushes for 28 yards and one touchdown during Friday's 42-14 win versus Virginia.
ANALYSIS
Littleton found paydirt for the first time this season when he followed his blockers for a two-yard rushing score that put Maryland up 35-14 early in the fourth quarter. The 6-foot-1 redshirt sophomore rotated reps with No. 1 running back Ramon Hemby throughout the first half, though neither saw too much action after the Terrapins began to pull away in the third quarter. Littleton did accumulate fewer carries and yards than Colby McDonald (10 carries, 75 yards, one TD); yet, Littleton's usage early in the game should reinforce his role as the team's RB2 - at least until/if Ramon Brown (undisclosed) makes his season debut in the coming weeks.

Three carries Saturday
Littleton (knee) notched three rushes for eight yards during Saturday's 23-10 defeat to Wisconsin.
ANALYSIS
Littleton missed his first game of the season after hyperextending his knee ahead of Maryland's previous contest against Northwestern in Week 8. While the redshirt freshman was able to return Saturday, he was held to a season low in rushing yards while seeing limited usage behind Roman Hemby (16 rushes, 66 yards) and Ramon Brown (nine rushes, 27 yards). Littleton now has 317 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 53 carries over eight games this season, though he'll likely continue to see a sparse workload this coming Saturday against Penn State.

Inactive Saturday
Littleton (knee) did not appear in Saturday's 31-24 victory over Northwestern, Emily Giambalvo of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Littleton hyperextended his left knee during warmups, and he was held out of Saturday's matchup with Northwestern. The redshirt freshman has appeared in seven games this season, logging 50 carries for 309 yards and six touchdowns. Littleton will have his next opportunity to return Nov. 5, against Wisconsin.

Leads rushing attack Saturday
Littleton recorded 120 rushing yards and one touchdown on 19 carries during Saturday's 27-13 win over Michigan State.
ANALYSIS
Littleton out-carried usual No. 1 running back Roman Hemby (nine rushes, 27 yards; five receptions, 29 yards) during the Terrapins' Week 5 victory. The 235-pound bruiser essentially matched his production through the first four games of the season (21 touches for 164 yards), including a game-long 68-yard rush to the Michigan State two-yard line. Littleton also found the endzone on a 15-yard rushing score in the first quarter to mark his fifth straight game with at least one touchdown carry.
