Sullivan was 12-for-19 passing for 81 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 10-7 loss against Iowa. He also had 16 rushes for 24 yards.

In a game in which just 17 total points were scored, Sullivan unsurprisingly struggled to get things going against a good Iowa defense. His lone passing score came on a five-yard toss to senior receiver Cam Johnson with just under two minutes remaining in the game before the Hawkeyes kicked the game-winning field goal with 14 seconds left. A road matchup against Wisconsin awaits Sullivan next week.

Sullivan will start once again on Saturday against Iowa, Pete Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.

The junior will start Saturday against Iowa. This will be his forth consecutive start for the Wildcats. Sullivan has logged 633 passing yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions this season.

Sullivan completed 16 of 23 passes for 265 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 33-27 victory versus Maryland. He also had 14 rushes for 56 yards.

Sullivan put together the best all-around performance of his career, with highs in both passing and rushing yards. The junior signal-caller was called upon to start for the third week in a row in place of injured starter Ben Bryant (upper body). This solid showing is an encouraging sign for Sullivan, especially after he had a subpar outing versus Nebraska in Week 8. He'll face probably his biggest test of the season if Bryant remains out against Iowa in Week 10.

Sullivan is set to start at quarterback for Saturday's game versus Maryland, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.

Sullivan will start in place of Ben Bryant (upper body) for the third straight week. Sullivan has completed 25-of-41 passes for 307 yards, two touchdowns and one interception across his previous two starts.

Sullivan's production was extremely limited by the harsh weather conditions of Saturday's game, as he logged season lows in passing yards and completions. However, the sophomore signal-caller once again played a factor in the running game, and he finished as the team's second-leading rusher behind Evan Hull (30 carries, 122 rushing yards). Sullivan also exited after taking a hard hit late in the fourth quarter, though it's unclear if this will affect his availability for Northwestern's next game against Minnesota this coming Saturday.

Sullivan and Ryan Hilinski are "neck-and-neck" in the competition for the starting quarterback job, head coach Pat Fitzgerald told the Daily Northwestern.

Hilinski was among a trio of quarterbacks who struggled last season as Northwestern had some of the worst quarterback play in the nation. While Hilinski should improve based on his play at South Carolina before transferring, Northwestern may want to change the page entirely and go with Sullivan, a three-star recruit who didn't play last year and enters his sophomore season.
