Absent against Tulane
Williams (shoulder) didn't play Saturday against North Texas.
ANALYSIS
Williams missed a second straight game Saturday, but his absence wasn't surprising since he wasn't participating in warm-ups with the first- or second-team offenses. His next chance to play will come in the regular-season finale against East Carolina, but even that seems like a long shot with the game less than a week away.

Not among top two QBs
Williams (shoulder) is not participating in pre-game warmups with the first or second team offenses Saturday, Brent Briggeman of The Colorado Springs Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams may be on his way to sitting out again Saturday as he is not warming up with the first or second team offenses. He sat out last week with a shoulder injury which may still be bothering him. Based on warmups, it looks as if Kirk Francis will draw the start for the Golden Hurricane.

Doubtful for Week 11
Williams (shoulder) is doubtful for Tulsa's game Saturday at Tulane, according to Callie Hummel of the Tulsa World.
ANALYSIS
A Charlotte player drove into his throwing shoulder during Tulsa's previous game. Williams has yet to throw at practice this week, hence why it seems unlikely that he will be available Saturday. In that case, Braylon Braxton is expected to serve as Tulsa's starting quarterback at Tulane.

Excellent before injury
Williams (shoulder) was 6-for-11 passing for 61 yards during Saturday's 33-26 overtime loss versus Charlotte. He also had seven rushes for 51 yards with two touchdowns.
ANALYSIS
Williams left the game late in the first half with a shoulder injury, the extent of which is currently unknown. Before his injury he was excellent. He started the game on the bench but was thrown into the starting job after one drive due to Braylon Braxton's struggles. He rushed for two touchdowns in the first quarter and helped his team jump out to a 17-0 lead in the second quarter, a lead that was eventually squandered without him. His status for Saturday's game at Tulane, due to both his injury and his place on the depth chart, is unknown.

Tosses touchdown Thursday
Williams completed 7 of 14 passes for 101 yards and one touchdown during Thursday's 42-10 defeat against Rice. He also had nine rushes for 13 yards.
ANALYSIS
Williams did not start Thursday but once again played a fair amount with Braylon Braxton seemingly limited. Williams played 28 snaps compared to Braxton's 41, but Williams attempted more passes. He also threw the only Golden Hurricane touchdown, a 30-yard completion to Kamdyn Benjamin late in the second quarter. It is currently unclear if Williams will continue splitting snaps with Braxton, but next Saturday's game at SMU should shed some more light on the situation.

Benched late after rough outing
Williams completed 10 of 20 passes for 115 yards and two interceptions during Saturday's 20-17 loss versus Florida Atlantic. He also had seven rushes for 50 yards with one touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Williams did not throw the ball well Saturday, completing just 50 percent of his passes for 115 yards and throwing two interceptions for the third time in his last four games. Although he scored a touchdown with his legs, he was benched in the fourth quarter for Braylon Braxton who led a scoring drive after coming into the game. With Braxton seemingly healthy enough to play, it would not be surprising to see him get the start over Williams Thursday versus Rice.

Elite production Thursday
Williams was 14-for-17 passing for 244 yards and three touchdowns during Thursday's 48-26 win against Temple. He also had 10 rushes for 90 yards with one touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Williams was lights out in Thursday's win as he accounted for over 330 yards of offense and scored four touchdowns. He came into the game with negative 30 yards rushing on 20 attempts and exploded with 90 Thursday, including a 50-yard rush and a 22-yard rushing touchdown. It was his best performance of the season, and it was a good time to have it in the conference opener. Despite the elite performance, the return of Braylon Braxton (ankle) still looms over Williams.

Taking first team reps
Williams is taking first team reps in warmups ahead of Thursday's game against Temple, Dan Linblad of 2 News Oklahoma reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams appears to be in line for his first career start with Braylon Braxton (ankle) seemingly unable to go. The redshirt freshman has made appearances in all four games this season so far, completing 38-of-65 passes for 596 yards and five touchdowns to go with five interceptions. Williams has had multiple turnovers in each of the last two games and will look to clean things up as the team heads into conference play.

Struggles in win
Williams was 8-for-20 passing for 102 yards and two interceptions during Saturday's 22-14 win over Northern Illinois. He also had seven rushes for negative six yards.
ANALYSIS
Williams completed just 40 percent of his passes and threw two interceptions Saturday but it was enough to secure the win over Northern Illinois. He has now thrown five interceptions in his last three games compared to just two touchdowns, an uninspiring stat line especially given he hasn't thrown for over 200 yards during that stretch either. His next game is Thursday versus Temple but it is unclear if Braylon Braxton will be healthy enough to take back over the offense.

Decent in relief effort
Williams was 11-for-17 passing for 196 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions during Saturday's 66-17 loss to Oklahoma. He also had five rushes for -15 yards.
ANALYSIS
Williams (hand) did not start Saturday, presumably because of his injury. However, after Roman Fuller threw three interceptions in the first quarter, Williams took over and led back-to-back touchdown drives in the second quarter. The second quarter did not go quite as well though, as he threw two interceptions and led his team to only three points versus the Sooners.

Good to go Saturday
Williams (hand) is available for Saturday's game versus Oklahoma, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams suffered a minor hand injury last week against Washington, but it appears the issue won't prevent him from suiting up and taking the field. What could prevent him from playing is the potential return of Braylon Braxton (ankle), who is considered a game-time call and would presumably draw the start if available.

Dealing with minor injury
Williams is dealing with a bruised hand, Cayden McFarland of KJRH TV reports.
ANALYSIS
Currently, Williams' status is probable as he deals with a bruised hand. He would be questionable in most cases, but Tulsa's head coach Kevin Wilson confirmed Williams is healthier than a questionable Braylon Braxton (undisclosed) is now.

Excellent in relief of Braxton
Williams completed 13 of 14 passes for 233 yards and three touchdowns during Thursday's 42-7 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He also had six rushes for negative nine yards with one touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Williams played the majority of Thursday's season opener after starter Braylon Braxton was forced off the field in the first quarter with an ankle injury. The true freshman made the most of his opportunity, completing all but one of his 14 passes for 233 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran one touchdown in himself but finished the game with negative nine rushing yards. If Braxton is forced to miss any more time with his injury, Williams proved himself to be a sufficient replacement.
