Finds end zone in loss
Edwards totaled one rush for one yard and hauled in 4 of 5 targets for 39 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 23-17 defeat to Utah.
ANALYSIS
Colorado's rushing attack has been a mixed bag this season, as injuries and lackluster performances have run rampant throughout the roster. Although slated as the top running back for the Buffaloes, he managed only 321 yards and one touchdown on the ground. He fared better as a pass-catcher, with 36 receptions for 299 yards and four touchdowns.

Tepid outing in backfield
Edwards posted four rushes for 12 yards during Saturday's 28-16 defeat against UCLA. He also caught two passes or 12 yards.
ANALYSIS
UCLA is unforgiving against the run and Saturday's match against the Buffaloes was no exception. Edwards was a non-factor and only logged 24 yards of total offense against the Bruins.

Modest output in win
Edwards recorded seven rushes for 33 yards and hauled in all three targets for 24 yards during Friday's 46-43 overtime loss versus Stanford.
ANALYSIS
Edwards continues to split work with Anthony Hankerson, who led the team in carries during this game (8) but it was the freshman running back that led in rushing yards. He also displayed his versatility, leading the backfield with three receptions. The 5-foot-9 ball-carrier will look forward to the next matchup against UCLA on Oct 28 following their bye week.

Solidifies role as lead rusher
Edwards totaled 10 carries for 57 yards during Saturday's 43-35 overtime victory against Colorado State.
ANALYSIS
The Colorado offense can sometimes be fickle, and Edwards is a perfect example of the variance associated with such a prolific quarterback. Edwards needs targets from Shedeur Sanders to increase his effectiveness, and touchdowns are vital for his bottom line. He came incredibly close to scoring on two occasions in the overtime win, and the big game for Edwards should be looming on the horizon.

Leads rushing attack with 55 yards
Edwards compiled nine carries for 55 yards during Saturday's 36-14 victory versus Nebraska. He also caught three passes for eight yards.
ANALYSIS
Although Edwards suffered a bit of regression after blowing up for three touchdown receptions, he still managed to put a decent game together. The Buffaloes employed a run-based offense for years, but coach Deion Sanders has placed most of the offense on Shedeur Sanders' shoulders, and totals for the team's running backs will fluctuate as a result. Edwards had three receptions but didn't log great YAC stats, but as long as he stays involved in the passing game, he'll have a chance to post a fantasy-relevant number.

Responsible for four touchdowns
Edwards recorded six rushes for 24 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 45-42 victory versus TCU. He also caught five passes for 135 yards and three touchdowns.
ANALYSIS
Edwards made the most of his five targets from Shedeur Sanders. His dynamic 46-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter capped off a brilliant performance where he was responsible for 28 of Colorado's 45 points. There were many offensive standouts among coach Deion Sanders' crew of talented transfers, but Edwards is a true freshman who arrived in Boulder to begin his college career in 'Prime Time.'

Listed as co-starter
Edwards has been listed as a co-starter at running back ahead of Saturday's opener at TCU, Adam Munsterteiger of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Edwards, a true freshman, has been listed as a co-starter alongside Alton McCaskill (knee). McCaskill is still questionable ahead of Saturday's game, which could mean even more work for Edwards if he is unable to suit up.
