ANALYSIS
Johnson found the end zone from four yards out int he fourth quarter, bringing the Cornhuskers within three points in the final four minutes. The game marked the third straight contest in which Johnson has received a larger share of the workload than fellow running back Anthony Grant, with Johnson appearing to have solidified his place at the top of the depth chart for the time being. Puts on strong performance in win
Johnson recorded 13 rushes for 76 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 31-14 victory against Purdue.
ANALYSIS
Johnson served as Nebraska's top rushing option for the second week in a row, and he's now totaled 25 rushes for 149 yards and a touchdown over this span. the redshirt sophomore's effective performance seems to have secured him a role as Nebraska RB1 ahead of graduate senior Anthony Grant (six carries, 18 yards). The team still heavily relies on quarterback Heinrich Haarberg to lead its rushing attack, as he's now logged at least 16 carries in all but one of his starts this season. Expect Johnson to be worthwhile fantasy pickup so long as he can maintain an above-average rushing yards per attempt. This shouldn't be too much of an issue when the Cornhusker take on Michigan State in East Lansing this coming Saturday.

Top running back in win
Johnson tallied 12 rushes for 73 yards during Saturday's 17-9 victory against Northwestern.
ANALYSIS
Johnson replaced senior Anthony Grant as the Cornhuskers' primary running back Week 8. The redshirt freshman totaled just nine carries across Nebraska's previous three games, but the coaching staff apparently turned to him out of displeasure with Grant's performance over that same stretch -- 32 carries for 94 yards. Johnson still tallied fewer rushing attempts than mobile starting quarterback Heinrich Haarberg (16), who has now logged double-digit carries in four of the past five games. If Johnson once again takes on a bigger role against Purdue this coming Saturday, then he could be locked into a role as Nebraska's RB1 for the final stretch of the regular season.
