Injury like not season-ending
Wallace (arm) is not likely to be out with a season-ending injury, Audrey Snyder of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Wallace was seen wearing a sling on his right arm Saturday. While that type of visual would be cause for concern, especially with the 2023 season in the latter half, Penn State's head coach James Franklin not updating Wallace's status suggests he can return this year in some capacity.
Oct 28, 2023
Likely done for day
Wallace (undisclosed) has returned to the sideline with his arm in a sling and is likely done for the day, Seth Engle of The Daily Collegian reports.
ANALYSIS
Wallace left the game during the first quarter after he was targeted on a play, immediately exiting for the locker room. It certainly doesn't seem like he'll be back in action Saturday, and the extent of his injury remains unclear. Malik McClain has reportedly taken most of the reps in his absence.
Oct 28, 2023
Goes to locker room
Wallace departed Saturday's game against Indiana in the first quarter for the locker room, Mark Wogenrich of Sports Illustrated reports.
ANALYSIS
Wallace exited the field under his own power but went directly to the locker room which isn't a good sign. It remains to be seen if Wallace will rejoin the action, but he had yet to tally a catch prior to his departure.
Oct 14, 2023
Announced as starter Saturday
Wallace was announced as a starter for Saturday's game against UMass, Richard Scarcella of the Reading Eagle reports.

Ready to go Saturday
Wallace (undisclosed) is set to play Saturday against UMass.
ANALYSIS
Wallace will return to Penn State's lineup following a bye week after a nagging injury sidelined him in a Week 5 win over Northwestern. The sophomore Wallace has 10 receptions for 98 yards this season in a complimentary role in the Nittany Lions' offense.
Oct 4, 2023
Full participant in practice
Wallace (undisclosed) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice, Daniel Gallen of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Wallace fully participated in Wednesday's practice, a promising sign for the receiver who has struggled with an injury all season. He missed last Saturday's game at Northwestern and was limited the week before versus Iowa. Still, having played just three games this season, his 10 catches are the second most on the team. With a bye week coming up, there seems to be a good chance Wallace will be ready to go Oct. 14 versus UMass.
Oct 1, 2023

Wallace (undisclosed) didn't play Saturday against Northwestern.
ANALYSIS
Wallace played 24 snaps in Week 4 but didn't step on the field in this one. His next chance to feature will come against Massachusetts on Oct. 14 after Penn State's bye week.

The 6-foot-1 redshirt junior, who logged 10 receptions for 98 yards across Penn State's first two games this season, appears to be gearing up for a full return this weekend against Northwestern.

Sep 16, 2023
In pads and warming
Wallace (undisclosed) is in pads and partaking in warmups ahead of Saturday's game versus Illinois, Audrey Snyder of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Wallace was deemed questionable on the availability report released two hours before the game, so his presence and participation in warmups is certainly a good sign. Barring a turn in the other direction, he will likely be available for the Nittany Lions on Saturday.
Sep 16, 2023
Questionable for Saturday
Wallace is considered questionable for Saturday's contest versus Illinois.
ANALYSIS
The reason behind Wallace's questionable status is unclear, but it could leave the Nittany Lions down a contributor in the wide receiver room should he be unavailable. Whether or not he takes the field for warmups should serve as a better indicator of his chances of suiting up.
Sep 6, 2023
Notches eight targets Week 1
Wallace gathered in seven of eight targets for 72 yards during Saturday's 38-15 victory over West Virginia.
ANALYSIS
Wallace set new career highs in receptions, targets and receiving yards while seeing significant starting playing time Week 1. The redshirt sophomore also logged a team-high in targets against West Virginia ahead of Keandre Lambert-Smith (four receptions, seven targets, 123 yards), Malik McClain (four catches, four targets, 58 yards) and Dante Cephas (one reception, two targets, 22 yards). The Nittany Lions have very little proven receiving depth, as Lambert-Smith slotted in as the team's No. 3 wideout last season while McClain and Cephas are transfer still working their way into the offense. Wallace logged 19 receptions (on 35 targets) for 273 yards over 12 games last season, and he should have a chance to grow into a much larger role with new starting quarterback Drew Allar expected to provide a new gear to Penn State's passing offense in 2023.
