Dante Moore struggled mightily against Utah's defense, resulting in poor outcomes for Sturdivant and Logan Loya. Sturdivant has made the most of his targets, logging 279 yards and two touchdowns off of only 12 receptions this season.

Solid game in UCLA debut
Sturdivant recorded five receptions for 136 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 27-13 win over Coastal Carolina.
ANALYSIS
Although Sturdivant succeeded with both quarterbacks in the opener, he grabbed a sweet floater from Dante Moore that extended UCLA's lead in the second half. The quarterback battle may linger on for a few more weeks, but the 6-3 sophomore transfer from Cal should have no problem making his mark in the offense.

Sturdivant finished the 2022 season with 65 catches for 755 yards and seven touchdowns over the course of 12 games. His seven touchdown catches led the team to go along with his 755 receiving yards, which ranked second on the team. The 6-foot-3 wide receiver is a former four star recruit from Texas.
