Diggs might have a tougher time running on Saturday, Nov. 26 against a stingy rushing defense of Southern California who has allowed only 148 yards on the ground per game. The Trojans though have given up 21 rushing touchdowns this season.

Diggs led Notre Dame in rushing yards with 114 on 17 carries in the Irish 35-14 victory over Clemson on Nov. 5.

It was the second-best day for the sophomore this season. Diggs ran for 130 yards against UNLV on Oct. 22. The Notre Dame running game might be limited against Navy on Saturday, Nov. 12. The Midshipmen have allowed only 88 yards per game and is seventh in the FBS against the run.

Diggs is trying to get his say into who is the Irish's number one back. The sophomore will get a shot again this weekend, Saturday, Oct. 29, when Notre Dame takes on Syracuse whose defense is relatively weaker against the run.
