Out for 2023 season
Klare (undisclosed) is out for Purdue's 2023 season, Tom Dienhart of On3.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Klare's recent injury resulted in the worst-case scenario, with him having his first full season of college football ended prematurely. Klare being absent will give more opportunities to his fellow tight ends Garrett Miller, Drew Biber and Paul Piferi.

Out against Iowa
Klare (undisclosed) won't play Saturday against Iowa.
ANALYSIS
Klare suffered the injury in Purdue's win over Illinois last week. It'll be a significant blow for the Boilermakers -- the redshirt freshman had been one of Hudson Card's primary targets, tallying 196 yards on 22 receptions this year. With Klare out, Garrett Miller will likely step up as Purdue's primary tight end.

Awaiting injury diagnosis
Coach Ryan Walters said Klare's (undisclosed) injury "didn't look great," but they're still waiting for an official diagnosis, Rivals.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Klare sustained the injury during Purdue's last contest, where he logged three catches for 27 yards prior to going down. Considering the redshirt freshman has accrued 22 receptions for 196 yards across five games, backup Garrett Miller could be in line for a sizeable uptick in usage if Klare is forced to miss time.

Catches all four targets Friday
Klare hauled in all four targets for 18 yards in Friday's 38-17 defeat versus Wisconsin.
ANALYSIS
Klare didn't provide the same verticality as he did during the Boilermakers' previous two games, as his longest reception was an eight-yard catch during the second quarter. The redshirt freshman has been a surprising factor in Purdue's passing game through the first four games of the season, tallying 19 receptions (on 20 targets) for 169 yards. Klare's consistent and sure-handed role makes him a worthwhile fantasy TE, though he may have to prove his ultimate value as the Boilermakers progress through their Big Ten schedule.

Logs 60+ yards again Week 3
Klare accrued five receptions (on seven targets) for 65 yards during Saturday's 35-20 defeat to Syracuse.
ANALYSIS
Klare accumulated over 60 receiving yards for the second week in a row following his breakout performance Week 2 versus Virginia Tech (eight receptions, nine targets, 64 yards). The redshirt freshman has also maintained a prominent role despite the return of graduate senior tight end Garrett Miller, who was expected to slot in as Purdue's TE1 ahead of this season. Klare's continued production should have in line to be one of the Big Ten's most productive tight ends moving forward this season.

Eight catches Week 2
Klare reeled in eight of nine targets for 64 yards during Saturday's 24-17 win against Virginia Tech.
ANALYSIS
Klare appeared to establish a notable rapport with Purdue's new starting quarterback Hudson Card, who transferred in from Texas this offseason. The redshirt freshman tight end finished as the Boilermakers' leading receiver in targets, catches and receptions for the first time in his career. Klare should slot in as a worthwhile player with the Boilermakers this season, as he seems to be locked in as a clear-cut No. 1 tight end in this pass-first offense.

Atop depth chart for Week 1
Klare is atop the Boilermakers' depth chart for their game against Fresno State on Saturday, Tom Dienhart of On3.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With Garrett Miller (knee) seemingly unavailable, the Boilermakers have Klare named as their starting tight end Saturday. The redshirt freshman logged only one reception for 20 yards in 2022, but he already has a great opportunity to surpass those numbers in 2023.
