Finds end zone in win
Williams compiled six carries for 56 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 42-28 win versus LSU.
ANALYSIS
It was just the second touchdown of the season for Williams, though the senior has received at least six touches in every game this year. However, he remains behind Jase McClellan on the depth chart, so expect similar usage at Kentucky next weekend.

Scores touchdown in scrimmage
Williams scored a touchdown in the Crimson Tide's second fall scrimmage, Charlie Potter of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams was a non-contact participant in spring practices, but returned to the field for fall camp. The Crimson Tide's running back room is very deep this year with Williams listed behind Jahmyr Gibbs, Trey Sanders and Jase McClellan. The 5-foot-10 running back appeared in nine games last season, gaining 284 yards and one touchdown along with 57 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Will need surgery
Coach Nick Saban said that Williams will need knee surgery, Mike Rodak of AL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Saban did not specify how long that Williams would be out for, but it's reasonable to expect at least through the end of the regular season, if not the entire postseason. Trey Sanders now steps up as the No. 2 back behind Brian Robinson.

Exits to locker room
Williams went to the locker room before the first half ended after going down with an apparent right leg injury, Mike Rodak of AL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams' injury leaves the Crimson Tide thinner at running back than they already were, with Jase McClellan (knee) already out for the season. If Williams is unable to rejoin the mix, Trey Sanders may be next in line for carries behind Brian Robinson. Williams had just one carry for 11 yards prior to his exit.

Career day in romp
Williams rushed 11 times for 110 yards and a touchdown Saturday against Southern Miss.
ANALYSIS
Williams benefitted not only from the lopsided score, but also the absence of starting running back Brian Robinson (ribs). Robinson is expected back for this weekend's tilt with Ole Miss, though Williams has at least four touches in every game this season.
