Hits paydirt in season opener
Morrison totaled eight rushes for 41 yards and one touchdown during Friday's 48-17 victory over Missouri State.
ANALYSIS
Morrison was able to log a touchdown in the rout of the Bears. The reserve back had his only score in Kansas' season-opener last year. Devin Neal and Daniel Hishaw remain the top options in the backfield. Kansas will play a tougher defense in Illinois next week.

TD and fumble in season-opener
Morrison rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on eight carries while also recording a fumble in Friday's 56-10 win over Tennessee Tech.
ANALYSIS
Morrison was one of five Kansas playmakers to record a rushing touchdown against the overmatched Golden Eagles. The Nebraska transfer will be fighting uphill to garner carries over Daniel Hishaw, Ky Thomas and Devin Neal. Kansas will play at West Virginia next week.

Transferring to Kansas
Morrison announced via his personal Twitter feed Sunday that he'll transfer to Kansas.
ANALYSIS
Morrison spent time away from the Cornhuskers due to a personal matter earlier this season, and he entered the transfer portal in mid-November. The freshman logged 30 carries for 116 yards and three touchdowns while hauling in three of six targets for 13 yards across six appearances this year, and he'll now attempt to carve out a role with the Jayhawks.

Still not with team
Coach Scott Frost said that Morrison is no longer with the team at this point, Sean Callahan of Rivals.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Morrison has been attending to a personal matter over the last couple weeks. Coach Frost didn't specify as to whether or not Morrison will return this season, but it is looking less and less likely as the days go by.

Tending to family matter
Scott Frost clarified after Saturday's loss to Ohio State that Morrison missed a few practices this week because of a family issue and wasn't available, Brian Christopherson of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Morrison was notably missing during warmups and Frost was able to clear up after the game that Morrison was tending to a personal family matter. He'll likely be available to play in two weeks' time when Wisconsin comes to town. The true freshman has totaled 30 carries for 116 yards and three touchdowns this year.

Not seen in warmups
Morrison was absent in pre-game warmups ahead of Saturday's game against Ohio State, Brian Christopherson of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Morrison looks unlikely to play in this one, meaning someone else may receive the 10-15 snaps Morrison is taking in most games.

Notches pair of touchdowns
Morrison compiled nine carries for 3 1yars and a pair of touchdowns and hauled in one of his two targets for a loss of a yard Saturday versus Fordham.
ANALYSIS
Morrison's nine touches were half of what Markese Stepp received on the day, but the freshman was the only one of him, Stepp and Gabe Ervin to find his way to pay dirt. While one of the scores came late in a blowout contest, the other was in the first half to give the Huskers a 24-7 lead. This could be a signal that Morrison will be utilized around the goal line this season, which could give him some added value even if he's not a bulk rusher.

Available but does not play
Morrison was available Saturday against Illinois but did not play, Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Morrison was mentioned as a possible contributor in the Nebraska backfield heading into the opener but it was Gabe Ervin who saw the most carries among the running backs. It does not appear that Morrison is in line to contribute in the near future, though opportunities could open up if Nebraska's backfield continues to struggle.

Makes leap in fall camp
Morrison made a leap in fall camp and is expected to be in the mix for carries Saturday against Illinois, Robin Washut of HuskerOnline said on ESPN Lincoln.
ANALYSIS
Nebraska's running back room is wide open with several players capable of taking the starting job. Morrison and Gabe Ervin are considered two of the frontrunners and USC transfer Markese Stepp could contribute if healthy. Morrison was a former highly touted recruit who had his 2020 marred by injury.

Available versus Minnesota
Morrison (undisclosed) will be available for Saturday's game against Minnesota, Brian Christopherson of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Morrison remains buried on the depth chart regardless, but the Huskers will at least have some added depth at the running back position for Saturday's contest. With Dedrick Mills potentially moving on following 2020, Morrison could be among the candidates for reps next season.
