Reid Detmers’ Reversed Stats
The Angels will give Reid Detmers another opportunity on the mound. Detmers has been great against righties to begin the season, but he’s also allowed a .255 ISO and wOBA of .350 to lefties as a left-handed pitcher.
The Astros have two left-handed threats in the lineup that hit lefties well, including Kyle Tucker and Yordan Alvarez. Those two should set the tone against Detmers tonight.
Houston’s Lefty Is Better
Meanwhile, the Astros will send out their lefty in Framber Valdez. His stats aren’t reversed. Instead, he’s held teams to a .099 ISO and wOBA of .303 with 68.3% of ground balls and just 7.9% of fly balls allowed.
The Angels’ projected lineup has some power, but it’ll be hard to show off power with the balls hitting the dirt in the in field.
