Fried is coming off a complete-game shutout, in which he held the Miami Marlins to only three hits in nine innings. He’s dominated righties this season, holding them to a .053 ISO and wOBA of .241, adding more than 71% of ground balls against righties.
Meanwhile, he’s in line to face a Mariners lineup that has only hit a .145 ISO and wOBA of .313 with 25.4% of strikeouts against lefties since last season.
Atlanta’s Offense Should Do Enough
The Braves will have to face Bryce Miller of the Mariners. He won’t be an easy pitcher. However, he’s still allowed a .180 ISO and has watched his walks rise to 10% this season.
The right-hander will have to face a Braves lineup that has hit a .216 ISO since last season against righties. So it’s likely we’ll get more extra-base hits out of the Braves in this game.
