The AI Model has been on fire in the NBA Playoffs. With the next few games on the slate, it’ll look to continue to produce winners.
Our computer predictions project the Celtics will add a 113-100 win over the Cavaliers in Game 2 of this second-round series. A 13.5-point spread is a little much. However, the Under has some value, with Caesars, one of the top sportsbooks, currently sitting at 213.5.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics
Thursday, May 09, 2024 – 07:00 PM ET at TD Garden
Can Cleveland Do Enough Defensively?
In Game 1 of the NBA series, the Cavaliers only scored 95 points against the Celtics. Boston did its job defensively, but the Cavaliers didn’t.
Cleveland scored 120 points in an epic 25-point beatdown in Game 1. This series will ultimately be like that. However, the Cavaliers can be better defensively and at least give themselves a chance in the next game.
Cleveland didn’t foul at a high rate but allowed the Celtics to shoot a 59.9% effective field goal percentage. It’s ultimately hard for any team to shoot such a high percentage consistently.
Limiting Fastbreaks
If nothing else, the Cavaliers only turned the ball over 5.9% of the time against the Celtics, which will keep the Celtics from scoring fastbreak points.
In addition, the Cavaliers weren’t great on the offensive glass, rarely got to the foul line, and shot an effective field goal percentage of 48.8%.
That won’t get the job done offensively. Not against the Celtics!
