He had 3 all of last year on the way to winning the World Series. He’s hit 28 home runs this year, when you include the playoffs.
Hernandez has homered in 5-of-6 playoff series since 2022. Only the 2024 Mets were able to shut him out for a whole series in the NLCS. Hernandez has not yet hit a home run in 5 games against Milwaukee, including Game 1 last night, but he’s always a threat to do so given enough opportunities.
Andrew Vaughn to Hit a Home Run (+575) at Caesars
Andrew Vaughn doesn’t hit many home runs after he had 14 in the regular season. However, he’s had 9 in 64 games since joining Milwaukee, and he’s also homered twice this postseason already.
Maybe most importantly, Vaughn is the only batter to hit a home run off Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto. When they met on July 7, Vaughn hit a 3-run homer in the first inning, which Yamamoto could not escape in his worst outing this year.
We’re hoping for lightning to strike twice here with Vaughn going yard.
