For this week’s top NFL predictions, we have NFL picks Week 16 for 3 important games, including a Saturday night special between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears for the NFC North lead.
Let’s look at the current NFL odds from top-rated sportsbooks.
NFL Picks Week 16 At-a-Glance
Our NFL picks for Week 16 look at the NFC North rematch between the Bears and Packers, an AFC clash between the Jaguars and Broncos, and the Steelers try to clinch a winning record in Detroit.
But let’s start with Saturday’s game in Chicago with the Bears leading the NFC North over Green Bay.
Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers (Bears +1)
Saturday, December 20, 2025 – 08:20 PM ET
We just saw this NFC North matchup a couple of weeks ago when Caleb Williams’ late pass on 4th-and-1 was intercepted in the end zone, giving the Packers a big 28-21 win.
But the rematch is already here Saturday night, and the Packers have lost Micah Parsons (ACL) to a season-ending injury, and they may not have dangerous wideout Christian Watson available either after he left the Denver loss injured.
The Bears crushed the Browns (31-3) on Sunday, moving them to 10-4 and ahead of Green Bay (9-4-1) for the NFC North lead, so this is a big one. Caleb Williams played poorly early in the game last time, but without Parsons and playing at home, he could do much better at the start instead of relying on another 4th-quarter comeback this season.
The Packers have just 10 giveaways this season on offense, but Jordan Love was intercepted twice last week in Denver.
The Bears lead the NFL with 30 takeaways on defense while also turning it over just 10 times, so we’re going to trust coach Ben Johnson to have a good plan to correct last time’s mistakes and find a way to win this game against the Packers without Parsons.
Expert Pick: Bears +1 (-110) at BetMGM
Denver Broncos vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (Broncos -3)
Sunday, December 21, 2025 – 04:05 PM ET
You could see this one in the AFC playoffs this year as the Jaguars and Broncos are leading their divisions and as hot as any teams in the NFL.
The Broncos, however, have won 11 games in a row, often by one score, and the Jaguas are 6-1 since their bye week, only losing to Houston after blowing a 19-point lead in the 4th quarter to Davis Mills.
The Broncos have been a great 4th-quarter team all year, and showed it again last week with Bo Nix throwing 4 touchdowns against the Packers. But the Jaguars have scored at least 25 points in every game since the bye, so that boost to Trevor Lawrence from rookie coach Liam Coen took some time to happen.
Still, we’re seeing it work out now after Lawrence became the first player ever to throw for 300 yards, rush for 50 yards, and have 5 touchdown passes and a touchdown run in the same game last week against the Jets.
The Jaguars have also forced 26 takeaways this year compared to just 12 for that strong Denver pass rush. The Broncos may still end up winning by a late field goal, but we like the Jaguars to cover the spread on the road and possibly even win the game outright to end Denver’s winning streak.
Expert Pick: Jaguars +3 (-110) at BetMGM
Detroit Lions vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (Lions -7)
Sunday, December 21, 2025 – 04:25 PM ET
There’s potential for a high-scoring NFL matchup here between 8-6 teams as the Lions usually light up the scoreboard at home while the Steelers have hit at least 27 points in 4-of-5 games.
Aaron Rodgers is heating up in December and has played his best 2-game stretch of the season in wins over Baltimore and Miami, and he’s no stranger to playing the Lions in Detroit. They also have a banged-up secondary.
But the Steelers are missing T.J. Watt (lung), and he may not return until the playoffs, assuming they win the AFC North to get there.
Still, the Lions need this game more with a playoff spot out of their control right now. The Steelers have some wiggle room, but don’t sleep on Mike Tomlin’s ability to pull off a road upset in a game you’d least expect them to win right now.
We know Dan Campbell has won 15 straight after a Detroit loss, but Jared Goff is always good for a turnover opportunity, and Rodgers should have a matchup advantage with all of his tight ends.
We’ve seen the Steelers play some good teams close this year like their 31-28 loss in Chicago, so we think with a spread this big against an inconsistent Detroit team, they have a shot to at least cover the spread.
Expert Pick: Steelers +7 (-110) at BetMGM

For our NFL picks Week 16, our most anticipated game is Saturday night to see if the Bears can inch closer to winning the NFC North over Green Bay without Micah Parsons. We also recommend the Jaguars covering the spread in Denver, and we like the Steelers to cover as a 7-point underdog in Detroit in other matchups between potential playoff teams.
