The Indiana Pacers haven’t really struggled much offensively this season. However, in Game 1 against the Bucks, the Pacers added only 94 points and were held below 100 points.
That’s rare. However, the Bucks did this by limiting the Pacers to an effective field goal percentage of 44%. Why would this type of defense stop in Game 2 while the Bucks are still at home?
Indiana’s Second-Half Defense Should Get Noticed
While the Pacers were flat to begin the Game 1 matchup against the Bucks, Indiana held the Bucks to just 40 points in the second half. Damian Lillard might’ve scored 35 points in the first half, but he didn’t add a point in the second half.
The Pacers were not prepared and didn’t know exactly how to be ready for a playoff game. Most of those guys had never played in one. Still, now they know.
