NFL Odds for Week 3: Sept 18-24

Do you enjoy a good sweat? Just when you think the NFL has reached peak crazy, they find a new level; Week 2 of the 2025 regular season was even more mind-blowing than Week 1 – especially that back-and-forth tilt between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants, which we’ll touch on in a moment.

Having said that, Week 2 also restored a certain sense of normalcy to the NFL odds board. The top favorites have gained extra steam heading into Week 3, so let’s take a closer look at the early football lines for our three marquee matchups.

Detroit vs. Baltimore (BAL -5.5)

Monday, September 22 – 8:15 PM EDT

We begin with this week’s edition of Monday Night Football, with both teams flying high after falling flat on their faces in Week 1. The Ravens (1-1 SU and ATS) appear to be pulling in some early sharp action, although the OddsTrader consensus reports at press time shows 67% support for the Lions (also 1-1 SU and ATS).

Detroit may have made the bigger splash this past Sunday, hammering the Chicago Bears (+6.5) 52-21 at Soldier Field; Baltimore didn’t face the same degree of difficulty in their 41-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns (+13.5 away). Keep an eye on those live NFL odds to see if the Ravens become available at a better price before kick-off.

Kansas City vs. N.Y. Giants (KC –6)

Sunday, September 21 – 8:20 PM EDT

Most of the talk for Sunday night’s contest will surround Kansas City being 0-2 (both SU and ATS) to start the season. But how about Russell Wilson and his performance versus Dallas? After getting buried alive in the New York press, Wilson was throwing perfect moon balls in Week 2. It’s definitely not his fault the Giants (0-2 SU, 1-1 ATS) lost 40-37 in overtime. Give Wilson credit instead for cashing in the G-Men as 5.5-point road dogs.

The sharps agree. While Kansas City has drawn the larger bets, we’re seeing some familiar wiseguys among the 89% consensus for Big Blue as 6-point home dogs, enough to keep the football odds in stasis since the open.

Miami vs. Buffalo (BUF -12.5)

Thursday, September 18 – 8:15 PM EDT

The Bills (2-0 SU and ATS) are the biggest favorites on the Week 3 odds board, thanks in part to the Dolphins (0-2 SU and ATS) being so awful through two games. The early OT consensus reports show 85% support for Miami, so maybe the sharps see some value here at +12.5, although big bets have reportedly landed on Buffalo.

To be fair, Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (115.5 passer rating) was much more effective in Week 2 than he was in the opener, although Miami still lost 33-27 to the New England Patriots (+2.5 away). Will the betting public dump too much money on the Bills for Thursday night? Watch the consensus numbers and the live NFL lines to find out, and bet accordingly.
