Los Angeles Clippers vs. Chicago Bulls

Tuesday, January 31, 2023 – 08:00 PM EST at United Center

Kawhi Leonard (Los Angeles Clippers)

The Los Angeles Clippers will be in Chicago to take on the Bulls tonight. This will be the beginning of a four-game home stand for the Bulls. The Bulls have won five of their last six home games.

The Clippers fell 122-99 on Sunday to the Cleveland Cavaliers. This broke a five-game winning streak for the Clippers. LA is trying to do their best on a stretch where they will be playing 10 of 11 games on the road.

The Pick

Kawhi Leonard has shot at least 50% from the field in his last nine games. He has had at least 10 attempts in all those games. He was 12-20 from the field and had 32 points against Atlanta on Saturday and has the league’s longest streak of 50% or better shooting at least 10 shots.

Leonard has gone over this point total in six of his last seven games and in the game that he didn’t, he had 25 points. He is proving to be the same offensive force that he always was and as the Clippers continue to move up the standings, his play has gotten better and better.

Against a Chicago Bulls team that is weak on the defensive end, we expect another big night from Kawhi Leonard.

NBA Prop Pick: Kawhi Leonard Over 26.5 points (-115) at SugarHouse

Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

Tuesday, January 31, 2023 – 07:00 PM EST at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse

Jarrett Allen (Cleveland Cavaliers)

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been enduring a rough stretch where they have lost four of their last seven games. The Cavaliers had missed star Donovan Mitchell in the majority of those games. They expect Mitchell to be back in the lineup tonight.

The Miami Heat are coming off a 122-117 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. The Heat allow the second-fewest points per game in the league at 108.4. However, their opponent tonight, Cleveland, gives up fewer points per game at 106.9 points against per game.

The Pick

Games with low totals mean lower statistical opportunities for player props. Fewer shot attempts mean fewer opportunities for rebounds. We will take advantage of that knowledge tonight when we go Under on Jarrett Allen.

Jarrett Allen averages 9.6 rebounds per game but has only gone Over this total in two of his last seven games. The lower pace for tonight’s game has lowered the statistical projections for all the players involved. Tonight will be no different as the Cavaliers will have a winning night but Jarrett Allen will go Under on his rebound total.

NBA Prop Pick: Jarrett Allen Under 9.5 Rebounds (-120) at Bet365

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Denver Nuggets

Tuesday, January 31, 2023 – 10:00 PM EST at Ball Arena

Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets)

The Denver Nuggets have lost two games in a row. Their latest outing was a 126-119 loss in Philadelphia to the 76ers on Saturday night. Tonight they will look to bounce back against the New Orleans Pelicans. Tonight begins a stretch of four of five home games for the Nuggets.

The Pelicans come into this game struggling, losers of eight games in a row. One of those losses was a 99-98 loss to the Denver Nuggets on January 24th. Now the Pelicans have a chance to bounce back against a rested Denver Nuggets team.

The Pick

Nikola Jokic has posted a triple-double in five of his last seven games. He has another great opportunity tonight against a Pelicans team that struggles to defend big men. After the Nuggets’ mini-losing streak, the team’s leader knows he will have to put forth a big performance in order to help his team win.

We are getting plus money on Nikola Jokic to continue this triple-double streak. Jokic will put an extra emphasis to get his teammates involved, which means we can expect a lot of assists. Assists are the area in which Jokic usually falls short on the triple-double.

With Jokic getting his teammates involved, the triple-double is a great bet tonight.
