Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Over 0.5 Blocks (-115) @ Clippers

Gilgeous-Alexander is known for his offensive prowess, but that’s no reason to discredit what he does on the other end of the floor. A long, lanky guard, the reigning MVP has averaged at least two “stocks” (steals plus blocks) every season since 2021-22.

Gilgeous-Alexander has been especially consistent as a shot blocker this season, picking up at least one in five of his first seven games. He logged one or more blocks in three out of four meetings with the Clippers last season, too. Expect him to show out on both ends against his former team and bet the over.

Jalen Suggs: Over 5.5 Assists + Rebounds (-110) @ Hawks

Suggs has trouble staying on the floor, but when he’s healthy, he’s a menace. The 24-year-old is a strong defender and solid playmaker, and he enters tonight’s matchup with the Hawks averaging 4.4 assists in a little over 19 minutes per game.

Suggs has hit the over on this line in all five of his appearances so far this season, so there’s little reason to worry about this bet. Atlanta also ranks in the bottom four in rebounds allowed and just outside the bottom 10 in assists allowed per game.

What are PRA prop bets?

You might see a player prop abbreviated as PRA. This stands for points, rebounds, and assists and is a combination of the three. To determine whether or not you win this type of bet, you’ll need to add up the player’s points, rebounds, and assists and see if they went over or under the projected total. 

What happens if a player gets injured or can’t finish a game?

If a player is forced to exit a game early, sportsbooks will often void the pick, meaning it doesn’t count as a win or loss. Instead, you’ll simply get your wager returned to you. If the player hits the over on their prop before exiting the game, it will still be graded as a win. 

Do NBA player props count overtime?

Unless otherwise noted, NBA player props do include overtime. This can be good or bad depending on whether you bet the over or under on a player prop. 

If you bet the over and a player doesn’t hit the mark until overtime, it’ll still count as a win for you. However, if you bet the under and a player goes over that mark in overtime, it’ll still count as a loss even though they finished regulation with the under.
