Bundesliga Odds

Bundesliga football has been going strong since the formation of the German Football Association (DFB) back in 1900. With over 20 teams competing in the league, there’s always plenty of action throughout the season. As such, betting on the outcome of games is one of the most popular sports activities in Germany.

How Bundesliga Betting Odds Work

A typical bettor would place a wager on one team being favored over another. For example, if Bayern Munich was listed as +600 against Dortmund, then a $100 bet placed on Bayern would earn $60 profit ($100 x.6 60) if Bayern won. A $100 bet on Dortmund would yield $40 profit ($100 x.4 40) if Dortmund won.

To calculate the return on investment (ROI), simply divide the amount wagered by the total stake. In our example, the ROI is $60/$100$60% or 60%.

Bundesliga Moneyline Odds

Moneylines are the most common way to bet on football matches. They’re available on all leagues except the English Premier League. In Germany, teams are assigned a point value based on their league position. Teams who finish 1st get 2 points, 2nd gets 1 point, 3rd gets 0 points, 4th gets -1 point, 5th gets -2 points, and 6th gets -3 points.

Teams who finish 7th or below get no points. Teams who win their match get the same points as they had in their previous round. Teams who lose their match get the opposite points as they did in their previous round.

For example, let’s say FC Bayern München beat Borussia Dormund 18-0. That means Bayern got 20 points, while Dortmund only got 10 points. Therefore, Bayern has a moneyline of +200, meaning a $100 bet on Bayern would net $200 if Bayern wins.

If Bayern loses, however, then the moneyline changes to -200, meaning a $200 bet on Bayern would net just $100 if Bayern lost.

In addition to moneyline odds, there are also totals lines. These are used when there is a tied score after regulation time. Ties are broken using either a coin toss or shootout.

Bundesliga Draw No Bet Odds

Draw No Bet odds are similar to the moneyline odds but instead of having a definite winner, there is a draw. This means that if the final score is even, neither team wins.

Bundesliga Goal Totals (Over/Under)

Another common kind of bet is the over/under. This is a bet on the total number of goals scored during a match. For example, you might bet on a match ending 3-2 or 4-2.

Each team scores a certain number of points during a match. When the match finishes, the total number of goals determines the winner.

Bundesliga Second Half Odds

Second half odds are used to calculate the probability of a certain team scoring a goal during the second half of a match. For instance, if Bayern Munich is listed as having a 50% chance of scoring a goal during the final 30 minutes of their match against Borussia Dormund on Saturday, then we know that they have a 0.5 x 0.5 25% chance of scoring a second half goal.

Bundesliga Winner Odds

Winner odds are the probability of winning a given match. They are calculated using the following formula:

(odds of winning – odds of losing) / (odds of winning + odds of losing)

You should start reading Bundesliga winner odds before the beginning of the season, as the early markets tend to offer better value.

It’s important to note that the bookmaker offers odds for both home and away wins, but only bets on the outcome of the match itself.

This means that if a team draws 0-0, the bettor would lose his stake regardless of whether he backed the draw or not.

As such, you should avoid betting on draws unless you’re confident that the result will go against you.
