ANALYSIS
Naylor will be on the bench for the fourth time in six games. He went 3-for-7 in the two games he appeared in during that stretch. The rookie catcher has caught fire in September, sporting a .333 average with four homers, four steals, 14 runs and 13 RBI over 51 at-bats. Naylor is slashing .244/.347/.482 with 11 homers, five steals, 33 runs and 32 RBI in 65 big-league games this year.

Goes yard in return
Naylor went 1-for-3 with a walk, a three-run home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 11-7 loss to the Reds.
ANALYSIS
The young backstop had missed the Guardians' prior two games with a thumb issue, but he quickly proved he was healthy by launching his 10th homer of the season off Hunter Greene in the second inning. Naylor is slashing .319/.476/.596 in September with three home runs, four steals, 11 RBI and 12 runs in 16 contests, and the 23-year-old appears to have cemented himself as Cleveland's catcher of both the present and the future.
Sep 26, 2023
Back in action Tuesday
Naylor (thumb) will catch and bat eighth for the Guardians in Tuesday's game versus the Reds.
ANALYSIS
It will be the first action Naylor sees since he suffered a bruised right thumb during Friday's win over the Orioles. The rookie catcher will look to continue his strong finish to the season, as he'll carry a 1.020 OPS for the month into play Tuesday.
Sep 24, 2023
Remains out Sunday
Naylor (thumb) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
ANALYSIS
The 23-year-old was removed from Friday's contest with a bruised right thumb and will sit Sunday for the second straight game. David Fry will work behind the plate in the series finale versus Baltimore with Naylor banged up.
Sep 23, 2023
Held out Saturday
Naylor (thumb) isn't in Cleveland's lineup Saturday versus Baltimore.
ANALYSIS
Naylor bruised his right thumb during Friday's game and had to make an early exit in the fifth inning. He'll remain out Saturday, allowing Cam Gallagher to start behind the plate and bat ninth.
Sep 22, 2023
Exits with thumb contusion
Naylor departed Friday's game against the Orioles with a right thumb contusion, Joe Noga of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Naylor was 0-for-1 with a walk and a run scored before being replaced at catcher by David Fry leading into the top of the fifth inning. He should be considered day-to-day with what seems to be a minor injury.
Sep 20, 2023
Gets rest day
Naylor is out of the lineup Wednesday versus the Royals.
ANALYSIS
Naylor was behind the plate Tuesday night, so he will get a breather for Wednesday's day game. The catcher went 2-for-8 with a home run in the first two games of the series against the Royals. In his place, Cam Gallagher will start and bat ninth.
Sep 19, 2023
Notches fifth steal
Naylor went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, one RBI and a stolen base in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Royals.
ANALYSIS
Naylor has five steals this season, four of which have come in his last eight games. In that span, he's gone 9-for-28 (.321) with a 6:5 BB:K. The improved plate discipline and stronger hitting has given Cleveland fans and fantasy managers alike a glimpse of Naylor's future potential. He's at a modest .233/.329/.433 slash line with eight home runs, 25 RBI and 25 runs scored over 60 contests this season, but he could be a fantasy force in the coming years if he can continue to grow his hitting in the majors.
Sep 17, 2023
Getting breather Sunday
Naylor is not in the lineup Sunday against the Rangers.
ANALYSIS
Cam Gallagher will do the catching and bat ninth after Naylor logged three straight starts behind the plate. He went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in the Guardians' defeat of Texas on Saturday.
Sep 17, 2023
Posts fourth steal
Naylor went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Rangers.
ANALYSIS
Naylor's putting it all together in September, going 11-for-35 (.314 with four extra-base hits and three steals across 11 games. The catcher also has an 8:6 BB:K this month. For the season, he's at a .232/.325/.429 slash line with eight home runs, four steals, 24 RBI, 25 runs scored and 11 doubles through 59 contests, though it's clear he's made some progress with regular playing time in the majors. He's also posted an 11.8 percent walk rate and 24.1 percent strikeout rate.
Sep 12, 2023
Idle against lefty
Naylor isn't in the Guardians' lineup Tuesday against the Giants.
ANALYSIS
With lefty Sean Manaea set to start Tuesday for San Francisco, the lefty-hitting Naylor will stay put in Cleveland's dugout for the beginning of the game. David Fry will fill in behind the dish and bat fourth.
Sep 12, 2023
On base four times in loss
Naylor went 2-for-3 with two walks, one stolen base and one run scored in Monday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Naylor has produced three multi-hit efforts over his eight games in September, going 8-for-23 (.348) in that span. He's also picked up two stolen bases this month, giving him three on the campaign. The catcher is settling into a starting role behind the dish after some rough stretches earlier in the season. He's at a .230/.326/.436 slash line with eight home runs, 24 RBI, 23 runs scored and 10 doubles over 56 contests.
Sep 6, 2023
Not in lineup
Naylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.
ANALYSIS
Naylor was behind the dish for the loss to the Twins on Tuesday night, so he'll get a breather for Wednesday's afternoon game. Cam Gallagher will do the catching for Gavin Williams.
Sep 5, 2023
Goes deep, swipes bag
Naylor went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer and a stolen base in Tuesday's 8-3 loss against the Twins.
ANALYSIS
Naylor launched a two-run homer in the third inning and added a stolen base after reaching on a walk in the fifth. The rookie backstop posted a slash line of .179/.267/.325 through his first 39 career games, but the 23-year-old has turned things around over his last 14 games, compiling a .351 batting average with four home runs, nine RBI and seven runs across 37 at-bats during the recent stretch.
Sep 3, 2023
Hits bench Sunday
Naylor is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay.
ANALYSIS
Naylor is 6-for-16 with two homers and two numbers in his past five contests and will receive Sunday off after he started the previous two games. Cam Gallagher will take over behind the plate and bat eighth.
Aug 30, 2023
Gets rest day
Naylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.
ANALYSIS
Naylor will take a seat for the afternoon game after he was behind the plate for 17 innings between the past two days. Eric Haase will step in as the Guardians' starting catcher in the series finale.
Aug 30, 2023
Homers in second straight game
Naylor went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Twins.
ANALYSIS
Naylor homered for the second game in a row and the third time in five contests. While he hit just .088 over his first 13 games in August, the rookie catcher has found a groove, going 9-for-24 (.375) over his last eight contests. For the season, he's up to a .213/.293/.418 slash line with seven homers, 19 RBI, 18 runs scored and a stolen base through 157 plate appearances.
Aug 29, 2023
Pops homer Monday
Naylor went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 10-6 loss to the Twins.
ANALYSIS
Naylor has found a little success lately, going 7-for-20 (.350) with two homers, three doubles and four RBI over his last seven contests. He's still seeing a decent share of playing time behind the dish, though he has both Eric Haase and Cam Gallagher to compete with, and David Fry (hamstring) is on a rehab assignment. Naylor is slashing .204/.288/.394 with six homers, 18 RBI, 17 runs scored, a stolen base and eight doubles over 46 contests this season.
Aug 27, 2023
Sits against lefty
Naylor is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.
ANALYSIS
The lefty-hitting Naylor will bow out of the lineup Sunday with southpaw Yusei Kikuchi toeing the rubber for Toronto. Eric Haase will handle the catching duties for Cleveland.
Aug 26, 2023
Makes history Friday
Naylor went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Friday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jays.
ANALYSIS
The rookie catcher made history when he drove a Chris Bassitt sinker down the right-field line and over the fence in the third inning, becoming the first Canadian-born player in big-league history to homer in his first at-bat north of the border, per Julia Kreuz of MLB.com. Naylor might be finding his footing in the majors after largely struggling at the plate since his promotion in mid-June -- the 23-year-old has six hits, including three doubles and Friday's homer, over his last four starts.
Aug 23, 2023
Taking seat against southpaw
Naylor is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.
ANALYSIS
He will sit in favor of Eric Haase as the Dodgers go with Clayton Kershaw on the hill. Naylor isn't hitting much versus righties or lefties this season, but he's just 4-for-25 at the plate against left-handers.
Aug 20, 2023
Sitting out Sunday
Naylor is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.
ANALYSIS
The Guardians and Tigers are wrapping up their four-game series with a day game and left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez is on the hill for Detroit, so Cleveland manager Terry Francona decided it was an optimal time to withhold the lefty-hitting Naylor from the starting nine. Gavin Collins will step in for Naylor behind the dish, catching for starting pitcher Logan Allen.
Aug 20, 2023
Breaks out of slump
Naylor went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Tigers.
ANALYSIS
The rookie backstop ripped a double off Matt Manning in the fifth inning and followed it up with another double off Will Vest in the seventh. Prior to Saturday, Naylor was in the midst of an extended slump, hitting just .095 (4-for-42) with 14 strikeouts and eight walks over his previous 16 games. The three-hit performance brings his season-long slash line up to .198/.281/.355 across 40 games.
Aug 16, 2023
Takes seat versus lefty
Naylor is out of the lineup Wednesday at Cincinnati.
ANALYSIS
Cam Gallagher will start at catcher and bat ninth with left-hander Andrew Abbott readying to toe the slab for the Reds. Naylor has slashed .222/.263/.278 in only 19 plate appearances versus southpaws this year.
Aug 12, 2023
Out of lineup
Naylor is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays.
ANALYSIS
Naylor has struggled so far in August, going 2-for-21 at the plate in eight games, though his 6:6 K:BB over that stretch suggests he's still seeing the ball well. Cam Gallagher will start behind the plate Saturday.
Aug 9, 2023
Taking seat Wednesday
Naylor is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Blue Jays.
ANALYSIS
Naylor had started five of the last six contests but has just one hit over that stretch. Cam Gallagher will do the catching for Logan Allen on Wednesday.
Aug 6, 2023
Moves to bench Sunday
Naylor is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
ANALYSIS
Naylor is getting a breather while the Guardians face a quick turnaround for Sunday's series finale, which begins at 12:05 p.m. ET. Cam Gallagher will catch for starting pitcher Xzavion Curry while Naylor sits.
Aug 1, 2023
Gets Tuesday off
Naylor is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Astros.
ANALYSIS
Cam Gallagher will handle catching duties in the second game of the series after Naylor was behind the dish for four of the past five games. Naylor went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and an RBI in Monday's 7-3 loss to Houston.
Jul 30, 2023
Receives Sunday off
Naylor is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the White Sox, Andre Knott of Bally Sports Ohio reports.
ANALYSIS
Naylor started the past three games and will hit the bench Sunday after going 2-for-9 with a stolen base and an RBI during that stretch. Cam Gallagher will step in behind the plate to catch for Aaron Civale.
Jul 28, 2023
Nabs first stolen base
Naylor went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a steal in Thursday's victory over the White Sox.
ANALYSIS
Naylor picked up his first major-league stolen base after singling in the sixth inning. While speed hasn't been a major part of Naylor's game this year, he did steal 20 bags last season in the minors. The rookie backstop is now 11-for-31 (.344) with a 1.136 OPS in his last 10 games following an 0-for-16 stretch in his prior five contests. Overall, Naylor is slashing .227/.284/.427 with four homers, 12 RBI and 11 runs scored through his first 81 plate appearances this season.
Jul 26, 2023
Gets breather Wednesday
Naylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.
ANALYSIS
Naylor will receive a breather for the day game after he started at catcher and cracked a pair of home runs in the Guardians' 5-1 win Tuesday night. David Fry will step in behind the plate and will bat sixth.
Jul 26, 2023
Smashes pair of home runs
Naylor went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and a two-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Royals.
ANALYSIS
Naylor had Zack Greinke's number Tuesday, tagging him for a solo shot in his first at-bat and following it up with a two-run homer in his second plate appearance. The outing broke a cold snap for Naylor, who was 1-for-13 (.076) in his last five games. Though Tuesday's performance was a promising sign for the highly-regarded prospect, Naylor is still slashing an unsavory .211/.273/.423 while striking out at a 28.6 percent clip.
Jul 24, 2023
Sits again Monday
Naylor is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.
ANALYSIS
The lefty-hitting Naylor has now been on the bench for four of the Guardians' last five contests, though Cleveland opposed left-handed starters in three of those contests. He still appears to be the Guardians' preferred backstop versus right-handed pitching, but even his hold on a strong-side platoon role could be tenuous. Since getting a call-up from Triple-A Columbus on June 17, Naylor is hitting .191 with two home runs and a 29.7 percent strikeout rate over 74 plate appearances.
Jul 23, 2023
Out of Sunday's lineup
Naylor is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 23-year-old usually sits against left-handed pitchers but will take a seat Sunday with righty Aaron Nola starting for Philadelphia. Naylor has a .571 OPS this season and is 3-for-17 since the All-Star break. Cam Gallagher will step in behind the plate to catch for Xzavion Curry.
Jul 21, 2023
Sitting Friday
Naylor is not in the starting lineup Friday versus the Phillies, Joe Noga of cleveland.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Naylor will remain on the bench for a second game in a row after he went 1-for-9 with an RBI-double while starting the first two games of the team's series with Pittsburgh. David Fry will draw the start at catcher and bat sixth in the series opener with Philadelphia.
Jul 19, 2023
Retreats to bench
Naylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.
ANALYSIS
Naylor will get a breather for the day game after he started behind the dish Monday and Tuesday night. Though the Guardians put up 21 runs between the first two games of the series, Naylor wasn't a major contributor, as he went just 1-for-9 with a double and an RBI between those contests. Cam Gallagher will replace him in the lineup Wednesday as Cleveland's catcher.
Jul 16, 2023
Not starting Sunday
Naylor isn't in the Guardians' lineup Sunday versus Texas, Andre Knott of Bally Sports Ohio reports.
ANALYSIS
Naylor will take a seat Sunday versus left-hander Martin Perez, allowing David Fry to start behind the dish and bat sixth.
Jul 15, 2023
Heads to bench
Naylor will sit Saturday against Texas.
ANALYSIS
Naylor kicked off the second half by going 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, but his reward will be a trip to the bench. The Guardians have been hesitant to start him against southpaws, so it will be Cam Gallagher who gets the nod against Andrew Heaney.
Jul 15, 2023
Pops second homer
Naylor went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 12-4 loss to the Rangers.
ANALYSIS
Naylor was heating up just before the All-Star break and kept it going Friday with his second career homer. The catcher is 6-for-11 with five RBI over his last three contests. Through 60 plate appearances this season, he's slashing .218/.283/.364 with two long balls, seven RBI and nine runs scored. If Naylor can hit more consistently, he may be able to take a more definite edge in playing time over Cam Gallagher -- the two backstops have mostly worked in a platoon so far.
Jul 9, 2023
Receives off day
Naylor is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.
ANALYSIS
Naylor will get a breather for the series and first-half finale after he caught in three of the Guardians' previous four contests. Cam Gallagher will spell him behind the dish.
Jul 9, 2023
Logs three hits
Naylor went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 10-6 win over the Royals.
ANALYSIS
Naylor was stuck in a 1-for-19 funk over his previous six games. This was his third multi-hit effort in 15 contests this season. The 23-year-old catcher has struggled to adjust to major-league pitching, batting .196 with a 5:18 BB:K so far. He's added a home run, five RBI, eight runs scored and two doubles through 56 plate appearances.
Jul 7, 2023
Taking seat Friday
Naylor is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Royals.
ANALYSIS
It's a day off for Naylor, who is just 7-for-47 so far at the plate for the Guardians this season. Cam Gallagher will catch Aaron Civale.
Jul 4, 2023
Sitting out Tuesday
Naylor is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest against Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Both Naylor brothers are sitting this one out, although Josh's absence is due to a wrist issue. In Bo's case, it looks to be a routine day off while Cam Gallagher catches Shane Bieber.
Jul 2, 2023
Gets Sunday off
Naylor is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs, Joe Noga of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Naylor appears to be receiving some routine maintenance after he started behind the dish in the first two games of the series in Chicago while going hitless in seven at-bats. Cam Gallagher will form a battery with starting pitcher Aaron Civale in the series finale.
Jun 29, 2023
Absent from lineup
Naylor is not in the lineup for Thursday's game in Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
It's a day game after a night game and Naylor had started each of the previous four contests behind the plate, so he'll get a breather for this one. Cam Gallagher will do the catching for Shane Bieber.
Jun 29, 2023
Mashes first big-league homer
Naylor went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk and three total runs in a blowout 14-1 win against the Royals on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Naylor had struggled in 12 big-league games (including five last season) coming into Wednesday, going 3-for-32 with no extra-base hits and 15 strikeouts. His considerable talent showed up against KC, though, as he smashed a 417-foot two-run shot in the sixth inning for his first major-league long ball and finished with his first three-hit game. Naylor has been getting consistent playing time behind the plate since being called up June 17, and if he's able to use Wednesday's performance as a launch point to more consistent offense, he should further cement his role as the Guardians' primary backstop.
Jun 25, 2023
Struggles continue
Naylor went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Saturday's 4-2 win over Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Naylor had another rough night at the plate, going down swinging three times and failing to reach base safely in four at-bats. After slashing .252/.387/.486 with 12 long balls at the Triple-A level prior to his promotion, Naylor has gone 1-for-16 (.062) with eight strikeouts in five appearances. Though the rookie has primarily been splitting time with Cam Gallagher behind the dish, the pair could start ceding more work to David Fry if their struggles at the plate persist.
Jun 23, 2023
Sitting against lefty
Naylor will sit Friday versus the Brewers.
ANALYSIS
Naylor will remain on the bench for a second straight game as the Guardians face off with left-hander Wade Miley on the mound. Cam Gallagher will draw the start behind the plate and bat ninth against Milwaukee.
Jun 22, 2023
Heads to bench Thursday
Naylor is not in Thursday's lineup against the Athletics.
ANALYSIS
Naylor picked up his first big-league hit and also drew a walk and scored twice in Wednesday's game. Cam Gallagher will start behind the dish and bat ninth.
Jun 20, 2023
Batting ninth Tuesday
Naylor is starting at catcher and batting ninth Tuesday against the Athletics.
ANALYSIS
Naylor batted eighth Sunday in his first start with the Guardians this season and has moved down one spot for Tuesday's tilt. He will be looking for his first major-league hit.
Jun 17, 2023
Officially promoted
The Guardians recalled Naylor from Triple-A Columbus on Saturday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
With the decision to designated Mike Zunino for assignment Friday, the Guardians opened the door for Naylor to take over as the primary backstop. Naylor holds a .252/.387/.486 slash line with Columbus this season alongside 12 home runs and 46 RBI through 269 plate appearances.
Jun 16, 2023
Receiving promotion Saturday
Naylor will be recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Saturday, Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Naylor will also be in the starting lineup and catch Bibee on Saturday. The backstop's path is cleared with the Guardians designating Mike Zunino for assignment, and in 217 at-bats with Columbus, Naylor has registered an .891 OPS with 13 homers. The 23-year-old should see the majority of the reps behind the plate beginning Saturday, and he's worth a fantasy addition for those looking for catching help in redraft formats.
May 22, 2023
Sent back to Columbus
Gaddis was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Monday, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Gaddis will head back to Columbus after he went 0-for-2 during Sunday's doubleheader with the Mets. The 23-year-old will certainly earn another shot in the big leagues later this season as he's batting .257 with nine homers, 32 RBI and 29 runs over 148 at-bats in 41 games with Columbus this year.
May 21, 2023
Promoted for twin bill
Naylor was recalled from Triple-A Columbus to serve as the Guardians' 27th man for Sunday's doubleheader against the Mets, Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealerreports.
ANALYSIS
Naylor isn't in the starting nine for Sunday's matinee but is a decent bet to be in the lineup for Game 2. The 23-year-old has continued to crush Triple-A pitching this year with nine homers and an .898 OPS through 41 games. For now it appears the young backstop is just up for Sunday's twin bill, but he could receive an extended look in the majors before long with Mike Zunino and Cam Gallagher going a combined 3-for-50 at the plate in May.
Mar 10, 2023
Optioned to Triple-A
Naylor was optioned to Triple-A Columbus by the Guardians on Friday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Naylor is likely the Guardians' catcher of the future, but they'd like him to get in some more reps in the minors. Mike Zunino will handle the bulk of the catching duties for Cleveland, with Bryan Lavastida, Cam Gallagher and Zack Collins battling for the backup spot.
Feb 23, 2023
Unlikely to break camp in majors
The Guardians would prefer for Naylor to open the year at Triple-A Columbus, where he could play consistently and get more reps under his belt before getting promoted to the majors for good sometime this summer, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports. "He's 22 years old," manager Terry Francona said. "We told him it's not always on your timetable... but if you knock the door down, that sort of makes the timetable. But I think he's got a really good head situated really well. He's got a pretty good outlook."
ANALYSIS
While Naylor is Cleveland's catcher of the future and made his big-league debut already last season, the addition of Mike Zunino this offseason made it clear that Cleveland wasn't ready to hand Naylor the keys right out of the gate this year. As Bell notes, the expectation is for Naylor to get the call sometime this year to start sharing the catching duties with Zunino. Bryan Lavastida is the favorite to win the backup job to begin the year.
Oct 1, 2022
Called up by Cleveland
Naylor was called up by the Guardians on Saturday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Naylor, whose brother Josh also plays for the Guardians, is one of the game's more interesting catching prospects. The 22-year-old doesn't have the greatest defensive reputation, though he's improved in that area this season. He's also hit .263/.392/.496 with 21 homers and 20 steals in 118 games across the two highest levels of the minors. The Guardians have gotten a .496 OPS from Austin Hedges and a .604 OPS from Luke Maile this season, so Naylor seemingly doesn't have many obstacles to playing time, though the team could still prefer Hedges for his defense and game-calling, leaving Naylor to fight for at-bats as a designated hitter.
Aug 3, 2022
Raking in Triple-A
Naylor has a .295/.424/.558 batting line with five home runs and four steals through 27 games for Triple-A Columbus.
ANALYSIS
All told, he's whacked 11 homers (plus 18 doubles and four triples) and swiped 15 bags while getting on base at a spectacular .426 clip across Double-A and Triple-A this season. Naylor has also turned in much-improved work behind the plate this year, slashing his passed-ball numbers drastically while throwing out 41 percent of would-be base stealers. With Austin Hedges and Luke Maile offering almost nothing offensively, it might not be too much longer before the Guardians give Naylor a shot to join his big brother in the majors.
Jun 20, 2022
Rises to Triple-A
The Guardians promoted Naylor from Double-A Akron to Triple-A Columbus on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Naylor will move up a level in the wake of Columbus placing fellow backstop Bryan Lavistida (hamstring) on the 7-day injured list in a corresponding move. The younger brother of Guardians first baseman/outfielder Josh Naylor, Bo slashed .271/.427/.471 with six home runs, 11 stolen bases and a 20.9 percent walk rate over 220 plate appearances with Akron.
