Meadows went 2-for-3 with a walk, a triple and two runs scored in Monday's 8-6 win over the Cubs.
ANALYSIS
After going 1-for-5 in his MLB debut Monday, Meadows had a bigger impact Tuesday, recording his first MLB extra-base hit and also scoring his first two runs at this level. The Tigers recalled Meadows from Triple-A Toledo on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Detroit is expected to give the younger brother of Austin Meadows a look in a near-everyday role in the outfield, with the 23-year-old likely to see most of his starts in center field while Riley Greene shifts over to right field, according to Chris McCosky of The Detroit News. Meadows earned his ticket to the big leagues by slashing .256/.337/.474 with 19 home runs and 19 stolen bases while striking out an acceptable 23.8 percent clip across 517 plate appearances at Toledo.

Meadows is one of Detroit's top prospects, and the organization added him to the 40-man roster in order to protect him from the upcoming Rule 5 draft. He spent most of last season at Double-A Erie and posted a .275/.354/.466 slash line with 16 home runs, 51 RBI and 17 stolen bases.
